Pony Team Bravo
Hello everyone! Welcome to the Pony Team Bravo thread!
You're probably asking yourself, "What is this Pony Team Bravo?" Pony Team Bravo is the name of one of the Pony Tales campaigns Demonu is running. (Well, it's more like the name of the group that plays that campaign, but you get the idea.)
Anyway! The point of this thread is that I was inspired by Karilyn's write-ups of her group's sessions to start playing Pony Tales in the first place, and was further inspired to create write-ups of my own. I make no claims to being a good writer/artist, but we have a lot of fun in our games and I thought some people might enjoy reading about it. So without further ado:
Dramatis Equuli:
Session write-ups.
Session 1: Pony Team Bravo, Go!
– In which our group fights griffons, frightens Fluttershy, and brings a tax evader to justice in the Everfree Forest!
Session 2: Pony Team Bravo and the Costume Gala of DOOM!
– In which our group sets fire to our charge's carriage, decapitates enemies with plates, and hits them with trees!
Session 3: Pony Team Bravo and the Surgeon's Stone.
– In which our group annoys a butler, performs invasive surgery without introducing ourselves, and tricks a pony into talking to a bush!
Session 4: Pony Team Bravo and the Diamond Dog Dungeon of Doom.
– In which our group encounters a mysterious vanishing gem, beats up Diamond Dogs, and gets our hooves on dynamite!
Session 5: Pony Team Bravo Discovers the Main Plot.
– In which our group meets Midnight Moon's fiancée, learns of the existence of sea ponies, and has a run-in with the law!
Session 6: Pony Team Bravo and the Irascible Editor.
– In which our group irritates an editor, provides employment opportunities, and throws a pony off a cliff!

Dramatis Equuli:
- Spoiler:
Green Horn: brown male unicorn, green hair. Botanist and gardener. Works as under-gardener in Royal Canterlot gardens. More comfortable around plants than ponies. Doesn't like underground areas.
Double Quaver: blue male earth pony, green and blue hair. Itinerant musician who always carries a tambourine. Left after first session.
Midnight Moon: black male unicorn, white hair. Ran away from upper-class arranged marriage to become a wandering doctor. The group's medic and level-head. Has an unwanted pegasus fiancée named Platinum Coronet (it was an unwanted arranged marriage).
Faded Tome: gray male unicorn, purple hair. Seeker of lost knowledge who works in Caterlot for the princess. Left after second session.
Mouse: gray female earth pony, black hair. Stealthy and sneaky. Definitely the group's rogue. Has a penchant for pulling knives out of nowhere, Pinkie-Pie style. Afraid of being underwater. Also griffons.
Night Owl: brown male unicorn, electric blue hair. Joined in second session. Narcoleptic sleep-walking gem polisher, asleep half the time. Likes to knockout enemies with Judo Throw. Very night-themed. Source of much amusement.
Diamond Mane: white female pegasus, light blue mane. Joined in third session. Former member of Luna's guard honorably discharged for wing injury. Brave, honorable, and resourceful.
Session write-ups.

Sweet Celestia!
I haven't read any of the first session yet, but for the love of Luna, that map of Equestria is beautiful! Who made it?
Also, how did you manage to get all those custom-made ponies into one pic? I'd like to know how to do that myself.

Well, I didn't make the map myself, that's for sure.
I merely googled map of Equestria and went with what I found. This was before the Hub put forth any official map so it was the next best thing I could find.
Credit given where credit's due. Here's the artist's DA page.

Re: Pony Team Bravo
Thanks for the comments everyone! Glad you enjoy my simple work.
For the group picture:
First, I used the Custom Pose option in Pony Creator to drag the default pony off the screen, then selected a background and exported it. Second, I created the different ponies and exported them (sans background), adding the cutie marks by hand. I then basically copy-n-pasted them into the picture with the background using GIMP, shrinking them as necessary to make them all fit at once (around 20-30%, if I remember correctly).
I did have to get a little creative with Mouse; I selected the bush I wanted her hiding behind and copied it to a new layer, then placed that layer above Mouse's layer so she would be behind it.
That's assuming you're talking about the session 1 picture; for the session 2 picture I assembled it entirely in Inkscape and drew the background myself (and it probably shows).

And I would have let you join in sooner but the whole being inside a cave thing didn't allow for much leeway.
But yeah, same time next week and before you know it, you're pulling off this role playing gig like a pro

Re: Pony Team Bravo
I was more enjoying just watching at the begining, trying to get a feel for how the party worked before I jumped in. I totally understud that I'd have to wait... Also did end up having to leave then return for getting food for myself too. So I didn't mind the long wait... If anything I was really more worried about the fact I left for a short while mid-way and was sorta happy it happened before I joined in.Demonu wrote:Glad to hear you enjoyer yourself.

Also I do plain on sending you an updated character sheet with some changed stuff before the next session too.
Why is the summaries gone?
Where is the next summary? I grow impatient with longing.

Summaries will be posted when they are ready and no sooner.Azureink wrote:Where is the next summary? I grow impatient with longing.
We have one of our best men working on them but please realize that he has more important priorities than writing about the mishaps of a group of ponies.

Yeah, but random people on the internet need to see the awesomeness that was, the Indy Fez catch!
(Yes I am aware that part doesn't happen till session 8... XD )

You guys... I heard from Xel what's going on in your game now... I am so full of chagrin. You guys are Power Rangers fighting subaquatic monsters? I am so jealous. (Granted, I'm enjoying my current game, but still. So jealous.)

Best part of the whole pony rangers thing, it was the second session I was in with them. So that made all the more sweet. :3
Re: Pony Team Bravo
Pony Team Bravo now has a new (NPC) member: Kitten!
Also, Appleoosa no longer exists as a town, because of above reason.
This may or may not be a bad thing, or result in the world's destruction.

Oh, wow, there are people who are actually waiting for these? That's...that's...really cool. That'll give me some motivation to work on them. I'll try to have session 4 out by the end of this week, if possible.Azureink wrote:Where is the next summary? I grow impatient with longing.
