"Well, you look like you have that under control." Horizon makes his way across the room and joins Zthulan at the next tunnel. "Since she's busy with her new box friend, I guess I'll have to take point again. Torch, please." He grabs the torch from the shaman, and walks ahead into the tunnel.

Sparing a quick glance towards the ranger Zthulan continues to wait for his partners return.

"What do you mean you sent a chorus down there?" Horizon had, so far, not taken note of the Spirit in any way. He reaches again for the torch. "You know the easiest way to get something that someone is holding out of reach? Break their knee so they can't stand up." As he watches Zthulan deliberately not look at him, Horizon grows annoyed. "Hey. Hey you." He begins poking him in the side. "Hey. Look at me. Hey look, hey. Woogedy Boogedy!" After a moment, he gives up. "Fine, we'll wait for the rest."

Forgot how we were doing the fonts and stuff. I assume Chorus and Koras are homophonic.

Shaking his head at Horizon's remark he decides to turn back towards the ranger face. "Thank you, and no not a chorus, Koras. All shamans have a spiritual companion, Koras is mine. She is linked to me, anything that happens to her will affect me, so she is also in a sense a proximity alarm. Also I wouldn't suggest breaking my knees for such a trivial thing as a torch." He leans down slightly to whisper to Horizon. "Also it would make you look more petty than our kobold companion."

"Hey, quit that you naughty little thing," Jeraylia says laughingly as the heavy creature almost tugs her off her feet. She almost casually begins taking a few key items out of her bag, as if this was a usual occurrence for her. After a second thought, she also grabs a satchel of flour. Letting go of the bag afterwards, she watches with adoration as the beast consumes her carry pack. "Such a hungry little fellow aren't you." She sits down beside it as it chews on the item, and continues to pat it while spouting diabetically sweet nonsense in the form of a tune.

Rellocated: three health pots, a small makeup kit, a flute, a couple of star stickers, a roll of bandage, and one small bag of flour. And some lint (ermas). Roll me another diplomacy, I feel a song coming on. What do you mean, I've had enough diplomacy rolls for today?

Though slightly worried about the repercussions Zthulan decides to take his defeat with what little dignity he can muster, by not making a comment. Deciding to finally discover what is going on he is witnessed to the situation behind him. "... Jeraylia... What are you doing?

Hey Zarhon, can I pop a words of friendship for this roll? +5 or something on top of my diplomacy bonus plz. I don't plan using it often, but this is quite the tense situation, i'n'it?. For more of an idea of what I hope to accomplish, either befriending the mob, or singing it to sleep would be nice. And I'll let you guys fight the next thing, ok?

Oh, out of character I'm totally fine with neat alternate solutions to problems. But, in character it's hard to justify not finding this an incredibly strange approach to the issue.

It's okay, she understands. It's hard not to be bewildered by the amazing, show-stopping ability of the Great and Powerful Jeraylia! Also, I've decided on two possible songs, "What is this box, filled with so many wonders?" and "You've got to share, your treasure lair." The first for a win, the second for a fail.

Humming a cheerful tune, Jeraylia sings to the chest. The tune pacifies its apparent violent urges and it calms down somewhat, no longer being as "grabby" as it was a moment ago (indeed, it swiftly retracts on of its arms, which was slowly extending in Skitter's direction). It faces her, curious as to what she intends to do next, lid slightly open, its arms waggling and gesturing randomly, like that of a child with nothing else to do with them.

Zthulan

As Jeraylia is... befriending... the chest, Zthulan's spirit beast returns. It is unharmed and motions an "all clear" to you.

Rolf moves his hand away from the fire wand and puts it back to his side, relaxed. "Skitter might have a point, Jeraylia. While you seem to have...befriended it, it's still a wild animal. If you want to bring it along, fine, but you are responsible for it. Still, at least we didn't have to fight it. Thank you for that."

"And good thinking sending your familiar to scout, Zthulan. We might be able to use that trick again in these tunnels." As he got closer to Zthulan, Rolf said in a lower voice, "Horizon's just yanking your chain. My advice is to just play along and don't be afraid to insult him back." He then started walking toward the rock tunnel.

Alright, time to finish up here. Using my previous roll's result.

Jeraylia looks up in surprise at Skitter's comment, as well as Rolf's, having largely forgotten the world around her. She sighs wistfully, and, having finished displaying a magic trick, puts a deck of cards back down her shirt. She looks at the eager mimic, and a small smile comes to her eyes. Soon after, she started a sweet melody.

"What is this box, filled with so many wonders?
Enchanted with spells, of which
I am now under.
High filligree
of a cute, brown mahogany,
carved from a tree
with the sweet scent of honey.
Honey~

Oh, what a magical box,
how I wish that I could
fill it with socks.
When I see how much encumberance it heaves,
I'd love to hold it so it never leaves,
Oh, I. love. All. Mi~mics~."

She gazes fondly down at the mimic sleeping soundly against her. Using a bit of wine, she dissolved the bonding agent that had started to bind her to the creature, and quietly moved to rejoin the party, holding a conspiring finger to her lips. "What's ahead is far to dangerous for a cute little mimic. Let's not wake it, else, it might follow us."

Oh, yea, she also salvaged the flask of wine she was given. Alcohol is good for unsticking people from mimics. I think I've had enough of the spotlight for now.
