Clarification Please on Assistance
When assisting another pony, whats the DC you have to beat? An Easy Difficult? The skill roll of the pony you're trying to assist?
Also, is there any point during leveling up that you get an attribute up?

You have to beat the DC of the skill check, I think.

That's the RAW, but is so thick or poorly worded it can safely be ignored.

Re: Clarification Please on Assistance
I always thought of it as if the assisting player can think of some way to use another skill or the same one that would somehow benefit the player, then give them a DC based on how difficult it would be to give a helping hoof. Usually I place them at DC:15 or DC:20 I only put them at higher DCs when I think it would be harder dc to use that skill to help.
For example, trying to bash down a large door: I'd say another pony could easily assist the one character with another stunts check DC:15, or maybe a DC:15 Mechanics check to use a tool to help pry at the door or something, or maybe a DC: 20 Knowledge check to give advice on the best way to plow through a door.
Then there's another party member who decides that they'll cheer them on as a way of motivation, well I'd say DC:25 Persuasion check to assist (Though I'd add a bonus to their roll if they've done something recently inspiring or if they role-play a really motivational or situational speech or something.) Then, I usually put Arcana use with It's Witchcraft at about DC:25 or 30 to help with lots of physical things (Unless it's a specifically magical problem you are dealing with)
See, just breaking down a door, and you could have at least 5 different ways to assist You just need to keep an open mind for how someone can help in any given situation.
In the end it's up to the DM, but I am quite certain the DC for assisting should always be equal or less than the initial DC depending on the action. If you ever feel too unsure, I'd suggest asking your players for their view on the situation and what they think would be fair.
