I know, but Twilight and Trixie said that "No unicorn can do this", so It's more the canonical difficulty of the spell.

Based off how Twilight summoned a parasprite...

Summon Critter
Prerequisite: Call Animal
Your Call Animal talent can immediately teleport to you a non-hostile creature, small enough to hold. It will attempt to perform a single non-combat task (specified during summoning) to the best of its abilities. Further tasks may require persuasion or manipulation. It remains for 5 minutes before vanishing, or until dismissed, harmed by something, or upon entering combat. The summoned creature must be one you know about or have seen.

Making a talent pathetically weak because of a throwaway hyperbole would just be dim.

Oo, that's pretty good. Nicely worded. Though it should probably have some sort of daily limit on it. Given that Call Animal is 3/day, that amount might work for this as well.

Well the talent is essentially an upgraded version of Call Animal, so I imagine it uses that talent's charges (an alternate/bonus use if it meets the criteria of being non-hostile and small). But that might be a bit of a downside as you trade charges.

How about this:

Summon Critter
Prerequisite: Call Animal
Your Call Animal talent gains three more daily uses, and can now immediately teleport to you a non-hostile creature of choice, small enough to hold. It will attempt to perform a single non-combat task (specified during summoning) to the best of its abilities. Further tasks may require persuasion or manipulation. It remains for 5 minutes before vanishing, or until dismissed, harmed by something, or upon entering combat. The summoned creature must be one you know about or have seen.

Or this, if we keep it separate from Call Animal...

Summon Critter - 3/day
Prerequisite: Call Animal
You immediately teleport to you a non-hostile creature of choice, small enough to hold. It will attempt to perform a single non-combat task (specified during summoning) to the best of its abilities. Further tasks may require persuasion or manipulation. It remains for 5 minutes before vanishing, or until dismissed, harmed by something, or upon entering combat. The summoned creature must be one you know about or have seen.

Dreamweaver magic
Target one sleeping or unconscious sentient creature. You may enter and manipulate the Dreamscape for the targeted creature as you please. While in the dreamscape your physical body in incapable of any action until you cancel the Dreamweaver talent.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to add some sort of roll that the target can choose to make to try to throw the caster out of the dream, especially if the target becomes aware that they are dreaming (or if the caster scares or angers the target)...

Ascension itself strikes me as more a Denisty type of thing then a Utility... And this is coming form somebody who has yet to see the eplsoid in question.

There was talk of an ascendant destiny last year, but nothing ever came of it that I know of.

Maybe some kind of ability to (TEMPORARILY) switch your Cutie Mark/Element ability? Or remote viewing or seeing things that have happened in an area?

I took a quick shot, but secretly, it's pretty bad...

Cutie Swap - 3/Day
You swap cutie marks between two willing creatures for up to an hour or until you end the spell. One target gains the others +5 bonus and score Cutie Mark Criticals on natural 20s on the Cutie Mark skill, while losing their cutie mark skill's bonus and Cutie Mark Criticals, and vise-versa for the other target. If either of the targets don't have a Cutie Mark, the creature with a Cutie Mark loses it and the creature without one gains it for the duration. This talent can not be used between two creatures who don't have Cutie Marks, or a creature who is currently under the effect of this spell.
