Zilean's Head would be neat. I could attach the chain to one of the bones and have myself a pretty fucking cool undead flail. Bonus hilarity if it still talks.

Wait. If Zilean's head was in here, who's head has been talking to us and using Zilean's body?

My guess is a CUUUUURRRRSSSSEEEE, that or something that will cause the demon to manifest itself. Or maybe just a piece of jewelery that Zilean had.

...Well I guess I could still hit people with it.
"Well that was less exciting than I was hoping for." Horizon holds the amulet up, examining it for a moment, and then secures it on his belt. "as much as I'd like to put this on and see what it does, I think I'll hold off." He looks back inside the coffin for anything else. "The lich isn't here." He calls out. "Looks like we have our answer." Satisfied, he stands up and heads back to the tunnel they came from. "Can we get out of here now?"

As Horizon touches the amulet, it's gem suddenly changes color, from orange, to red, and discharges a magical effect. Horizon feels a tingling sensation flow through his entire body. As he attempts to react, he finds that he can't move a single muscle, his body rooted to the spot and immobile. The gem glows brighter and starts floating of its own accord, out of Horizon's hands. It positions itself slightly above the coffin. A loud voice suddenly booms from it, as the gem waves around in the air, directed at Horizon.
"Ah, it seems someone finally decided to snoop where they weren't supposed to... I wonder who we are dealing with here... More grave robbers? One of the little church boys? Or maybe one of my associates? Speak up! I know you're there, and I'm not in the mood for a chase..."
Rolf feels cold. He feels as though someone, or something, is watching him. From behind.
Horizon is currently paralyzed and cannot act/speak.

Not sure. Depends on the spell, really: It could be either a direct voice transfer, or a "microsoft sam"-esque voice that generic spells with talking use, or a voice that's intentionally generic to make the voice unrecognizable.
And what can be defined as Zilean's "voice", exactly? Since he's a lich, I assume has no actual vocal cords. Are "booming voices o' evil" universal for litches, or do they depend on the person/body?
Roll perception, or for Rolf, arcana, to try and figure it out, I guess.

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 2)
How about this: Is the voice the same voice that we heard come from Zilean when we were chatting with him back at the temple? Three of us should know what his voice soaunds like by now.
Perception: Nat1+8. Apparently the amulet deafened me, too.

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 2)
Typically I think Liches just sound either how they sounded the way they did in life or a more sinister and evil version of that (probably just dependent on what they wanted). I'm not sure magic would really have "default software voices" as that implies it would somehow be more complex to record your own voice than the default voice. Also begs the question of where the heck the default voice came from and how that would have been imprinted into every kind of voice recording spell. Even spells that were created before or after (depending on how the imprinting of the default voice of "all voice spells" was done) that was done.

A hard glint entered Jeraylia's eyes, and she placed her hands on her sword hilt, snicking the blade to check it moved smoothly. She doubted that anything would actually attack them, but there was little reason not to be ready if it did. "It is polite to introduce yourself first, sir," she reproached the voice in a calm and even tone, as if making conversation. "Would I be right to assume you are the much talked about showman, Zilean?"
Might as well be sure.

The sheer loudness, reverberating echo and proximity of the voice from the amulet is grating to Horizon's ears, which he is unable to shield from the noise. He finds it difficult to hear or understand anything over the ringing in his ears.
Zthulan's guardian uses its innate power to summon up a shielding force around Horizon. It's not very strong, but it should protect from at least one blow.
Ignoring the cold, Rolf gauges the nature of the spell that is causing the amulet to talk as it is: It appears to be a combination of a Resounding Voice and a Ventriloquism spell, enchanted onto the amulet and most likely controlled from somewhere else.
The amulet turns to face Jeraylia and responds to her query:
"I see my reputation precedes me! Looks like I'm the talk of the town, yet again! I apologize for my brashness, I was not aware I was in the presence of a lady. You are most certainly correct: I am the former and current, one and only Zilean, or rather, his disemtombed voice. Unless you wish to name this amulet after me, like those barbarians in the north do with their cutlery. I'd rather you don't. It would get confusing. I'm also afraid I'm unable to give out autographs right now. And now that I've answered your question, I believe I get to ask a question of my own, even if it can be interpreted as somewhat hypothetical..."

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 2)
Rolf frowned. If Zilean could tell that Jeraylia was a lady, there was a good chance he could recognize their voices. It seemed there was nothing for it. Although, if Zilean wasn't the one watching them...
Rolf looked at Jeraylia and Zthulan, pointed at Horizon, then made a yanking motion with his hands, indicating they should drag Horizon back towards the entrance. He then started to speak, hoping to distract Zilean. "Oh, yes. Big fans of yours, seen all your latest work. Obviously, the church propaganda saying that you had been killed was false, so we decided to come down here to try and get the real scoop. We hoped that finding your not-so-final resting place could shed some light on the situation."
Then Rolf quickly turned and cast Flare into the caverns behind them. Hopefully the light would blind or at least illuminate any prying eyes.
Rolling for Flare...18.

"You... sound familiar... Do you work for me? Or used to? Any relatives I should know about, perhaps? No matter! Typical, the first to come and check is the Journal's Updater Guild. Well, I have good news and bad news for you lot..."
- Perception:
Rolf -> 15 + 15 (flare) + 10 = 40
Rolf turns around and quickly casts his spell in the direction of the tunnel behind him. He then sees that there appears to be a rather tall figure standing right behind him/the rest of the group, a few feet away. So tall, in fact, that it is slightly hunched, from the low roof of the ceiling of the tunnel.
It appears to be wearing a long, tattered, hooded cloak. At first glance, the cloak appears to be black, but as the light of the flare illuminates it, it becomes clear that the cloak isn't black, so much that it outright lacks color or substance, as can be evidenced from the fact that the light of the flare reflects nothing off the cloak.
The figure is holding a scythe in one hand, one of exquisite, masterwork design. It glints slightly, with a blue sheen. It appears to be slightly higher than the figure, as it is being held at an angle, to allow it to pass through the small tunnel. The figure appears to be holding something within its cloak and is looking at it.
As the flare approaches the figure, the figure diverts its attention to it, pointing its hooded head towards the group and allowing the light to illuminate it. This offers Rolf an all-too-clear glimpse of what lies underneath the hood of the cloak.
The flare enters the figure, its light vanishing for a moment, before it re-emerges on the other side and continues flying through the rest of the tunnel, illuminating it. The cloaked figure does nothing for a second, but then turns around (this takes about five seconds to achieve, as the tunnels do not offer much mobility) and looks towards the direction of the flare. It then looks (or rather, points) towards Rolf.
Rolf still feels cold.
Now then, I'm assuming Rolf is standing at the entrance to the tunnel, or slightly inside of it. The tunnel is big enough for one creature to pass through, so the rest of you are inside the coffin room. Horizon is near the middle of the room along with Koras, the coffin and the amulet. Only Rolf is currently aware of the tunnel happenings. I was tempted to give Rolf an appropriate reaction, or have a roll determine his mental status, but I'll let Lynt do it. He knows how his character would deal with this kind of situation cropping up.

Well shit. Game on, kids.
I can take him. Someone get me un-paralyzed.
Edit: I've got $5 on "Rolf shits his pants" as the most appropriate reaction.
