Re: Professions?
I am aiming to be a renowned fantasy novelist in fifteen years. I just finished five years of work at as a minimum wage grunt-worker and just got laid off (Target bought out Zellers in Canada, so I lost my job). Though I take it as a good time to change what I was doing, and now I am aiming to go into college to be a technical writer.
But my dream job is to be able to make approximately double minimum wage (supposing the rate stays similar over time. The current rate is $10/hour where I live, and 20/hour would be more than enough for me) just on writing fantasy and fiction. It's nice to have dream like that, which I'm willing to chase, even if I don't know if I'll ever reach it
Currently I'm collecting EI and working 1 day-a-week, bumming around, writing and playing games until September and the new school-year.

Follow your dream, SilentBelle. Follow your dream.
- Spoiler:
- As for myself, I can relate - I'm not really sure what I want to be*, but ultimately, I simply want to tell stories, whether I'm helping someone else express theirs or making up my own. I'd love to be able to one day support myself financially by entertaining others, but that would simply be a perk to sharing, essentially, some portion of my heart and soul with current and future generations.
*I have several creative talents, and so right now I can't decide between some sort of acting (maybe voice acting, maybe theatre, maybe something else), video game design, or writing novels or comics.
