Melody nodded to her friend, but stepped back from Zeela for a moment, a bit worried. "Y-Yeah, I'm kind of...wondering that too...And...Long version...Maybe someone else should answer that, I don't really know the answer myself, outside of the obvious, anyhow." She shook her head in frustration...She was worried about Star, too...If Tilt's shadow could do that, what would his be like...?

"The long version? Well..."
George shrugs off his kit and searches through it, coming up with a thermometer and a jar of burn cream.
"Well the...you who was trying to kill you was your shadow and we are technically inside a television. Also could you take your own temperature for me? I'm probably going have to help apply this to Zeela."

"We should probably let Arcana give the explanation as he understands this shadow stuff better than any of us I'd think. Besides, Tilt isn't the only one in here who needed our help." Brash says, ignoring Zeela being on fire, and after a pause says to Tilt, "If you're too worn out, you can just rest up but, the rest of us need to be heading further up and you should probably at least follow along because these places have some weird monsters lurking around and we wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you after our..... rescue?"

"And she tends to drink incendiary cocktails... So yes, that fire would be normal, I think." Icing looks at the persona card in his appendage, in consideration. A shadow was the self. It could manifest on its own, or from severe emotional thrust, or from merely a strong impact against a piece of metallic paper. A source of power... To do what?

"As short as we can get without Arcana: the guy checking you out is a doctor, we are from Ineighbah High, you fell through a hole in a dimension, as has another pony, whose Shadow, the crazy inner self thing, made this place to torture him... And I am fairly certain this is broadcast on television on the Midnight Channel due to a quirk in the dimensions. Arcana, for lack of a better word our boss, will explain more once you get back if you would like. If you get a clean bill of health, we are attempting to rescue or assist the other pony trapped in here as well. If you are troubled and do not think you can run this marathon, we can escort you out first though." The cotton candy coloured companion looks off towards the further halls, to deeper down the carnival of lies.

Zeela then looked wide eyed in shock and facehooves as her flames then go out. She grumbles to herself. "Of course... The first time it ever really worked, I not only don't realize I did it, but there was no go reason for it..." Next the Pegasus explains. "Well... Long story short... Guess I finally figured out a little trick my dad always did and kept saying one day I'd be able to figure out doing that too... Or possible worrysome side effect of my fire-potion I durnk the other day... Hard to tell off the top of my head."

"No offense," Tilt tells the strange freakish pony that had some kind of hand - she tries to be polite but can't help staring - "but you don't look like you could run one yourself."

She gives the doctor a strange look. "If that's what it takes..." she tells him, levitating out the small case from under her vest and withdrawing a thermometer of her own, which she sits gently under her tongue. After a moment, she takes the thermometer out and checks the temperature. "38.3. I'm fine."

"It's exhausting, but I can keep up."

Melody nodded in satisfaction, smiling a bit and taking a breath. "Alright, then. Let us know if it becomes too much...Come on, we should get moving...!" She turned to start trotting forward, a bit worried about getting lost in this place, but trusting the others...She could even say she felt a bond between them...Wait, a bond, like a-...She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to speak to the others through that link...
::Ah, can anyone hear me...? If not, don't say anything...::

::Anything?:: Brash mentally replies back, confused.

"What? Is something wrong?" asks Tilt, thoroughly befuddled by the odd behaviour.

Icing looks at Melody, grimacing as he squints his eyes at her, tilting his head. He then grins, and turns about.

"Alright then. Unless I am mistaken, we are still on a timer for our little race. What is the clock at, White? And remember, it is not who comes in first, but who laughs last that really matters." Icing's ready to go, apparently, though not in such a hurry as to resort to contractions just yet.

::Wait... Now you can mindspeak or whatever that's called? Cool...:: Zeela comments mentally, then gets a moving herself. "Yeah... Let's do moving and talking..."

"I thought we were waiting for Brash's magic robot thing to come back?" asks Tilt, glancing back at the begoggled pony, then cantering to catch up with the trotting mares, "it can't hurt to stay moving, I suppose. "

"So, okay. You all work for somepony called 'Arcana', and we're somewhere you can only get to by... going through a TV. Okay. And you're Zeela, and you're Charming Melody..." she tries to get a fix on everypony, and at least make an effort to get to know these ponies, "That's Brash back there, and, uh." Hum. Well, that was odd. "I didn't catch all your names."

Zeela stops and facehooves again. "Oh right... Just a bit scatterbrained from the fight I guess..."

Brash's robo-eye flies around the Carnival, noting many shadows, treasure chests, and such until it pops into a large chamber at the highest point, Star Power attached to a wall and a cloak-and-hatted him bfiring Daggers around him. "Aw, boo hoo. I'm so magical. I am the Great, and Powerful Star Power, but..."

"Don't you DARE say that!"

"I can't even do it without help~"

Shiro glances at his clock as you go up the next staircase. "Uh... We spent about a minute on that floor, and now we're on the next. So seven minutes."

"Ok well, found him. Arguing to himself. I should probably find that less weird by now but, I really don't. Anyway, this way!" Brash says, zooming past the group and leading the way, deciding to just leave the eyebot there for the rest of its duration to find out as much as possible before they got in there. Like which one they were supposed to beat up, maybe get it right this time. Though it worked out beating up the wrong one last time, so he wasn't too worried.

Zeela nods and follows Brash's lead.

"Well, good to meet you, George and Icing!" replies Tilt, before Brash zooms past her. "Whoops, looks like it's time to go!"

She takes off into a gallop, keeping pace with Brash without much trouble.

"Ah, yeah...Truth be told...I just...I thought it might help if I leaned on that to keep us connected in case we get split up...I thought it might be useful..." Melody explained quickly, running after Brash as she tried to keep up. He seemed to know which way to go, which was tons better than her plan...! One down, one to go...

"Yeah... I think it will be useful..." Zeela comments as they fly to the next floor.

"I have no idea what those two are talking about. Mares seem to have this psychic power between themselves..." Icing murmurs to the air as he attempts to catch up. Of course, Full Tilt is fully right, he is not usually as fast as even the average of the group barring that random burst of energy last time, but he didn't intend on being left behind.

The party heads for the third floor, seeing a treasure chest with items for all of them, and can easily bypass shadows due to Brash's powerful ee, reaching the fourth floor quickly. Throughout this, Brash watches the shadow continue to throw telekinetic daggers at his counterpart, laughing as he overpowers the other's magic. "Aw, what's wrong? Can't beat me?" The shadow eats one of the pills on his cloak, laughing.

The fourth floor is relatively straight-forward too. Many side paths with treasure chests, and remarkably little shadows.

"Maybe...But I think we could use some of this stuff anyhow...I say we take it with us...I know we need to hurry, but it's not -that- far out of the way, and I'd rather not mess this up because we weren't ready..." Melody said thoughtfully, popping open one of the chests and taking its contents before dashing back to the others...she didn't want to fall behind, but she figured if she could keep up while getting some useful goods, so much the better...Right?

"Yeah..." Zeela nods in agreement just opening the chest that she was just drawn to... Finding some potion making items that she already had gottened to using to mess with her drinks... "Mmm... This'll be quite useful... I think... Maybe... Mmm... Might work..."
