"So, what have you ladies figured out about this place?" Dancing asks, stepping away from the boulder.

Despite its frenzied state, and attempts to devour them, the swamp monster was no match for three heroes. With a final cry, the adrenaline riding Silver strikes out in all directions with his glittering rapier, doubly enhanced by his allies: Gusty commanding the winds themselves to join as more blades, and Pumpkin holding the foolish beast steady for the strike.

The destruction was undeniably vast. Making it look easy or not, the trio was just a bit tired, and so took some extra time to gather things up. Silver recovered his lost pole, and Gusty EAGERLY made assorted cephalopodian delicacies for the party... Including something extra for Silver.

As they finally prepare to set back on their course, a small, moss-obscured creature pops out of the water with a stick of some sort in its mouth:

"'Ey you! Which one of youse was crazy enough to fall into dat ting's lair?"

Silver points her hoof at Pumpkin.
"He did."

"Hey! I just lost my balance for a moment! Besides, nopony is hurt, right?"

"Wait, it was an accident? Whatever..."

The creature shakes off the covering, revealing a small blue creature standing atop the water:

"Name's Ink, Moicury Djinni at yo' service. Youse saved me from a less than kosha fate... or I guess luck did, but my pincers don' glue to luck's fat tush so youse'll do."

The creature joins up with Pumpkin.

Pumpkin acquired Djinni 'Ink'! 2 talent points acquired.
Pumpkin checked the 'stick' dropped by Ink...
Pumpkin got 'Staff of Healing!'

"Well... that was... something. Does anypony want this stick? Because I think it looks cool."

Gusty gives the stick a quick look-over.
"Nope. Take it if you want to."
Then she gives pumpkin a wry grin.
"Need any help getting dry?"

"Hmm...."Dancing thinks, and then tugs slightly on the shortest vine with his ponykinesis.

As Dancing pulls the pink flower, the vine curls smoothly along the wood they wrap around. A thorough testing pull results in the flower dangling halfway towards the pool, and the vine no longer trailing down the wall at the far side... you could stretch it further, but not well with ponykinesis - it seems to spring back instantly.

"I think it would be a wasted effort."
Silver resumes poling the boat along, grinning.
"I'm gonna push him back in when we get closer to the shore."

Keen attempts to look for a pattern by flying over to, and then pulling on, the next longest vine.

All the vines seem to behave in the same manner.

"Maybe if we pull them all at the same time..." Dancing muses aloud. "Should we give it a try?"

on the prow of the boat, Gusty summons an air guitar and starts singing

"Welcome to the swamp now, we've got gloom and games
We got everything you want, long as it ain't tame
We are the ponies that can find whatever you may need
If you got the money, honey we got your disease

In the swamp now, welcome to the swamp now!
Watch it bring you to your knnn knne knees, knees
I want to watch you flee!

Welcome to the swamp now, we take it pull by pull.
There was a monster in the reed, which we just had to cull.
I'm a very hungry mare that's not very hard to please.
I can almost taste the spices, on that tako-sashimi
In the swamp now, welcome to the swamp now
Fill my, my, my soup canteen.
Ooh, I want to hear you scream"

Silver starts whistling along with Gusty's tune as she poles.
Assist! (Persausion: Whistle along with Gusty.)

Roll:

While Dancing waits for the others to say something, he attempts to lift the moving object in the pool out with ponykinesis.

For some reason, you can't affect the creature with your magic AT ALL.

Dancing takes a look around, rather than just the boulder.

"Might as well. I think we may need to get the flower to the pool." Keen flies over and grabs two vines opposite from Dancing. "If it doesn't work, I'm starting to think of an alternate way to get through here."

"If it involves the boulder, then that was my next plan." Dancing says, grabbing one vine near him.

(Merely grabbing the vines does nothing, where dare you take them?)

Dancing pre-emptively tugs on the vine he's holding.
