YO SMASH BROTHERS
So, Nintendo Direct and an e3 trailer happened, and I'm pretty stoked.
The idea of the Wii Fit trainer being a fighter is hilarious, okay?
More seriously, what characters do you want to see smashing all the way? What thoughts do you have about the upcoming game? Anything else you'd like to see? How hyped are you?

Re: YO SMASH BROTHERS
Just give me Snake again and improve the Level Designer and I will be as pleased as punch...
Oh, and the Dojo. I loved the weekday updates that generated hype to god-like levels. Do that for me Nintendo, and I may buy a Wii U, even if I have no one to play it with...

Well, it's near impossible to make SSB not amazing. I'm sure I'll get to play it at some point. Probably wont buy a WiiU just for it, though. Megaman seems a little off balance though, with all those different powerups. Unless those are like a randomly selected Final Smash.

Re: YO SMASH BROTHERS
From what I saw, I think the different powerups are just his regular moves, special moves, and smashes, as opposed to their own thing. For example, Super Arm (Guts Man) seems to just be his grab, Hard Knuckle (Hard Man (hehehe)) is a mid-air spike, Flame Sword (Sword Man) and Slash Claw (Slash Man) are regular mid-air moves, and Spark Shock (Spark Man) looks like an up-smash. Of course, I'm just speculating here...Bronymous wrote:Well, it's near impossible to make SSB not amazing. I'm sure I'll get to play it at some point. Probably wont buy a WiiU just for it, though. Given that Kirby a fellow "copy heavy" character basically uses a good deal of his forms as attacks. I'd assume the same type of system will be used for Mega-Man.Paper Shadow wrote:From what I saw, I think the different powerups are just his regular moves, special moves, and smashes, as opposed to their own thing. Re: YO SMASH BROTHERS
Nintendo recently posted this video which talks about the differences between the two versions, as well as how the new characters will play...

Ah, right, I'd seen that and forgotten. Added into the first post.
Interesting how he says "the number of characters will be the same between the two versions", but not "the same characters will be in the two versions". Wii U and 3DS exclusive-characters? Or reading too much into things?

Re: YO SMASH BROTHERS
I noticed that too, and consider it a possibility. It should be noted that on the Smash Bros site, the Villager and the Wii Fit Trainer do not have any screenshots of them in-game on the 3DS, while every other character has screenshots from both versions...AProcrastinatingWriter wrote:Interesting how he says "the number of characters will be the same between the two versions", but not "the same characters will be in the two versions". Re: YO SMASH BROTHERS
so this gives the possibility of 2 or more characters in the 3ds version, maybe more Fire Emblem characters would be nice.

Re: YO SMASH BROTHERS
That would mean no cross-play (boo) which incident.y was a brilliant move with the Monster Hunter game.

Re: YO SMASH BROTHERS
No cross-play was practically confirmed when Iwota said that the stages between the two games would be different (which can be seen in the trailer)...Whiteeyes wrote:That would mean no cross-play (boo) which incident.y was a brilliant move with the Monster Hunter game.
