Within the crate was the aforementioned tools, parts, and crystals Tensai previously mentioned.

The zebra gave Gearick a glowing crystal that pulsed as if it had a heartbeat. Who knows what mysterious secrets it holds?

Grease looks at the crystal for a second, and licks his lips. He then quickly shakes his head and pulls himself up to sit on a corner of the open crate. "So what are we looking at here?" He asks, eying everything and trying to sort it into mechanical and arcanical supplies. "Are there any grappling hooks in here?" He asks absently, trying to lean over and rummage in the parts without falling on top of some of the more delicate bits of equipment. "They'd be good for landing and mooring, or if we needed to make another airship go 'pop'..."

"Oh, that's a good idea. I think I have an idea how to make something like that. Spot-" "Spotlight-" "go help look for some parts." Zero said, being interrupted by and subsequently cutting off Spotlight. Spotlight's head panels twitch and he doesn't move for a moment, seeming as if he's going to ignore Zero's command but, then goes to look around.

Perception aid to Grease with finding parts: 9 + 1 + 7 = 17. No idea if that's enough. Hope so.

Zero's Mechanics check to build robotic grappling cables/launchers: 10 + 1 + 5 (FK Robotics) + 11 = 27

The young dragon's keen eye managed to spot a tiny black crystal among all of the tools. It pulled at Grease's loose electrical current like it was hungry for the energy. With the combined forces of all of the team's work, they were able to complete a grappling cable system for use with their personal zeppelin. Upon completion, Tensai waved the Professor up front to the piloting controls as the transport entered a thick cloud of fog.

"It's pretty simple,
Kept it standard despite size.
Should be smooth sailing!

Red lever drops floor,
Your blimp will auto inflate.

The zebra silently slipped into a small curtained compartment in the back of the transport. After a few minutes he walked back up front. "Alright, let's get this thing going."

Grease pockets the black crystal, putting it into one of the many small compartments of his gearkit. He figures he'll be able to figure out which pocket it's in based on their mutual attraction. He considers inspecting it right now, while everybody else puts the finishing touches on the grappling hooks, but his thoughts are interrupted when he notices the faint hissing noise.

For a time, Melisma was simply enjoying the view. By all means, she was fine with just flying to their destination, but for now she simply gazed about the blimp with a serene calm. She was excited, yes, but more than anything... She was happy. She was finally going to do something right in the world. She just hoped her brother would be proud, as she stretched her wings.

"I love getting new things." Gearick said, as he began examining the crystal he had been giving, using his magic to give it a cautionary scan, careful not to accidentally activate it. He was wondering if he would be able to reweave the magic at all to make it even stronger, through at the same time, he wanted to know the risks involved.

Because he was focusing on the crystal, he forgot to lend a hand to adding the grappling hooks to the secondary transport. However, he did remember to join the others... and his head shot up after he heard something. "What's that hissing sound?"

Gearick, using his magic to filter the air around his mouth, moved forwards quickly to take over piloting the zeppelin, at the same time, he attempted to do the same trick that he was doing on the professor, to help him fight back against any effects that the gas was having on him.

As the Professor, Gearick, and Kegs withstood the sinister and sedative effect, they could see Grease and Melisma pass out almost instantly. In fact, it looked like they were struggling to breathe! Zero and the few assistants on the transport vessel slowly succumbed as well, only leaving Tensai. "So, what do we do now?"

"We need to find the source of this sleeping gas, and stop it. Fast." Gearick said, even as he closed his eyes and began to focus. He the compounds that made up air, and could isolate some of them. This sleeping gas would be a foreign substance, and should be thick enough to have an actual effect on them. He didn't have to isolate the substance however, all he did to do was follow the concentration gradient to its source.

The wily unicorn managed to trace the invasive chemical to the back of the transport's cabin. A device had punctured the ceiling and was mixing the grand zeppelin's stored gas with some sort of mystic toxin. With a shimmer of arcane energies, Gearick was able to not only able to neutralize the poison, he was able to synthesize it into an antidote that started to revive his teammates. Upon completing his task, lo and behold what does he find? Bound and gagged in the corner was...Tensei? He seemed to be slowly coming to with the antidote filtering the air. But if this zebra was Professor Fields' former student, who was that up front near the transport's controls?

"Oh. Buck." Gearick said, eyes widening when he found the zebra. Carefully he turned to the others, making sure he could see them, before focusing his magic... at first, it seemed that nothing was happening, only for a voice to speak into their head. Except for those up at the front of the ship, by the controls. 'No one react to my voice, or what I am saying. The mission was compromised from the first. The Zebra we met is not Tensei, I just found her tied up. We need to capture and interrogate the imposter, most likely an illusionist or changeling. We need to be quickly or quietly. If we spook the imposter, they could run and escape. Does everyone understand?'

"Well, that was odd," Grease says, becoming fully conscious as Gearick's voice echoes through his head. He starts to spit some idle sparks onto the floor of the zeppelin, then thinks better of it and spits them onto his hand. "S'probably a good sign that I should be drinking anytime soon. I hope I didn't break anything in my gearkit when I landed on it..." He says, pulling the backpack in front of him and pretending to systematically check the pockets. In actuality he was largely sorting through the main pocket, quietly slotting bits of iron and enamel together to form a casing, a small disc that could hold what he would make next...

It wasn't immediately apparent but it was now noticeable that the transport was starting to descend and it was tilting to the side. "Tensai" walked over to Spotlight and made a simple request. "Whoa, might be best if you let me handle the controls from here. Glad you jumped in to help, though. Was a little scared there."

"Tensai" gave an uncharacteristic hiss as the bright light blinded him. As Spotlight restrained the imposter, the transport's sharp tilt continued as things in the cabin started to slide to the left.

Furthermore, do any of you have questions I should ask besides 'who are you?' and 'what is your purpose?', Spotlight asks, trying to-" and then a fuzzy static sound is telepathically transmitted with the rest of the message.

Thinking and acting quickly, Gearick looked through to the cabin, and then teleported himself into the cabin. He didn't wait to look around and see if Spotlight still has the imposter, but grabbed the controls, attempt to bring the zeplin back up to its right heading.

In Gearick's attempt to regain control of the aircraft, he could see that the dials indicated that the transport was steadily losing air pressure. "Silly colt, you're already too late!"
