"Secondly. I'm going to hold this till it runs out of fuel, or unless that thing can carry all off us. STOMP is a team, so we work as a team, not one member going off by himself into a dangerous, potentially lethal situation."

Ignoring the comment about tapping the front, Gearick shook his head, saying. "No, working together allows us to pool our resources to counter and defeat the traps, instead of risking it on one person who could be serious hurt, or even killed. These artifacts haven't been retrieved before because they have been deemed to dangerous, remember? We've been lucky for the first two, but I doubt its going to remain that way, and I don't care how tough you say that machine of yours is, I don't doubt that the traps in this place can destroy it. I'm not letting it go, we do this as a team, not as individuals."

Forcing himself to calm down as he determines that it's a terrible idea, he continues, "Which is, admittedly, a point in favor of 'dangerous to the point of death.' Everybody at once is still a bad idea. Too many people at once means too many distractions and too little room to move. Plus it means nobody can bail us out if something horrible and unexpected catches all of us. At the very least, we should be sending a team of 2 or 3 down the corridor, and swooping in to rescue them as needed."

Stout gazes at the traps, his owl form providing him flight. "Let us go friend!" he shouts as he flies.

Stout's rolls:

Magic Nets: 13 roll + 8 acrobatics - 5 flight penalty = 16. But i am using magic so....
Spike Balls: 2 + 8 acrobatics - 5 = 5
Mist: 10 + 8 acrobatics = 18 (13 if flighty penalty is applied)
Fireball (athletics) : 8+11 athletics = 19 (14 if flighty penalty is applied)
6+11=17 athletics (12 if flighty penalty is applied)
2+11 = 13 athletics (8 if flighty penalty is applied)

Tree sighs. The buffalo turned owl was flying rather sloppily.
Tree's rolls:

Magic Nets: 11 + 7 acrobatics = 18
Spike Balls: 4 + 7 acrobatics = 11
Mist: 8 + 3 athletics = 11
14 + 3 athletics = 17

"Okay, how about you an Hector take one, the professor, Stout and Tree take the other, and I stay behind to teleport anyone out if they get in trouble?"

Grease flicks a few sparks into the cockpit and jumps off of the Rhinocerocket's tailfin, landing on the ground as the rhinocerocket folds itself back into the blue-purple disk of its dormant form. "That's a good split, but I don't think you can keep track of two hallways at once. Stout, Tree, and the Professor can go while I tend to this chip in the back of my head, and Hector and I will leave when they get back." He says, tapping the rough spine with with his claw to draw out a spark for emphasis.

"If you're willing to use psionic warfare techniques, might I suggest a simpler solution?" Hector said in response to Muse's difficulty. "Why not just knock them out. They'll notice anyways when we leave, and we'll still have to make amends. A quick blow to the head frees up anparty member, and is less likely to be considered a possible war crime if Princess doesn't get back to stick her nose in it soon enough."

"Muse said a hammer comes down on the pedestal when you grab the Horseshoe, so watch out for it!" Grease calls after Stout Spirit. He rummages in his gear box and produces a tube of acrylic paint, labelled "night sky blue." He squirts a small amount onto hand, just below the claw, and carefully smears it across the chip in his spine. He taps the chip with a claw, and when it releases a spark he emits an irritated grunt and smears on more paint. "Well, now that I'm not leaking anymore, did Stout make it down the hallway? The right hallway this time?"

Stout Spirit and Turquoise Tree led the charge through the tunnel. A bright glow flashes in the empty room but nothing happens. However, as Turquoise Tree comes within sight of the golden horseshoe, a golden light glows in the room it becomes brilliant and blinding until it stops. The horseshoe lost all of its luster and sizzled. However, Turquoise Tree is left without any ethereal glow and is instead much more mundane. He again feels hunger. And a pulse.

"What was that?" Tree asked. The light of the horseshoes felt odd, like he was being stuffed inside a bag or something.  
"Uh.....Tree?"
"What is it Stout?"
"You're....solid."
Tree waved his hoof around as he spoke to Owl Stout. "What do you mean solid? I am a spirit, so I can't be..." Tree notices his hoof. "...solid?" He put a hoof to his neck,and felt a pulse.
A Pulse.
Tree screamed rather loudly and started to panic, trotting away form the horseshoes. "I'M ALIVE! I'M ALIVE! I'M ALIVE! WHY AM I ALIVE!?!"
"TREE STOP SCREAMING!"
"I WILL WHEN I STOP BEING ALIVE!"
