Yay, character interaction! Not positive interaction, per se, but interaction all the same. Man, PCs are so much more interesting than NPCs...

I feel like I'm jerking into every conversation, especially the last bit, but with the names, you guys actually landed on something important to her.

Yeah I misread a post or two, ended up thinking Eight was the weird monstery thing- and somehow a female- and I legitimately didn't know what your character's name was.

So, are we waiting for something? Is Eight going to learn about how hard it's raining?

To be honest, I think Dagnir just wants to make sure her new pack thinks she's useful.

So the DM is waiting on us to move, and we're waiting on player 4, right? Should we maybe move along?

Re: The Curse and the Treasure - Interest Thread

Figure this might be relevant to say- sorry if I don't post much. Part of it is external stuff- preparing for NaNo, job hunting, etc- but a part of it is because of this game. I tend to play really sociable characters, who talk a lot, equalling lots of posts.

Nadir is not that- purposefully not that, since I wanted to try something different. He's meant to be the strong silent type right now, but that means I'm a little hesitant to post. I'm also tinkering with his persona a little, but I don't want to get too much into why/how he thinks, for lots of reasons. Hence why... I'm a little silent myself.

That's fine. Just as long as you let us know that that's the case, so we don't end up waiting for you.

Yeah, I figured that was the case, which was why I thought I should say something. I think the 'strong silent' type was kind of obvious from the interaction with Elric, but... Thought it was best to make it official.

(Incidentally, anyone got any advice for playing that type? Around a table, or Skype, I can understand; I'm just finding it a little difficult to think of how to post, effectively, nothing.)

The thing about posting is you don't always need to be speaking. You can just post actions, reactions, or things that he's thinking, even as he's standing silently.

"says nothing", "______ silently" and "doesn't respond" should be your new favorite phrases. But otherwise, definitely post actions, and if possible, expressions, so teh we can follow along IC and know where you stand OOC.

So how nuts am I allowed to go with the story? Should I post the whole thing in one go, break it into parts so Horizon can respond?

Whichever you want. I won't know that there's something I'll want to respond to until I read it.

I guess I should apologize to Dusk RAven. It kinda feels like I ground the plot to a halt just now. Hopefully I can finish soon. Also, I should keep in mind that writing a myth part by part with only a vague idea of how it is going to go is not easy.

You guys have been doing pretty good without my supervision, which is good because I feel like I've bitten off more than I can chew, so to speak. Nonetheless, I do have an idea of what to do next.
