Atlas stares impassively at the dogs for a few moments before crossing his arms in front of his chest. "This should be easy."
He thumbs his lucky pendant for a moment before smiling thinly and assuming the hunched over combat stance of the traditional "Bull Rush" martial arts style.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Fet-cher blanches at the mention of his assistance, and then scowls. "Only helped because dragon said to! You ponies promised not to come back, now we take your stuff! Dogs!" At this, two more dogs burst from the bushes, coming alongside the wagons. Meanwhile, Helmaroc and Peony see something moving in the trees farther back...
Oh my goodness, its finally time to Roll Initiative
Initiative Order:

- Combat breakdown:
- So when it comes to PBP combat, a lot of things can be confused or get lost over time. In order to make it easier to track certain things, I have two requests:
1- Always post the entire talent that you're using, effect and all, as well as the roll results, and if multiple talents are used, putting them in logical order. Also include traits and items, of course.
2- Post your character's current HP, Pips, and Status effects (and when they end) as they are at the end of your turn, so that the following turns can reference them.
An ideal post would look something like this:Combat flavor Combat flavor Combat flavor Combat flavor Combat flavor Combat flavor Combat flavor Combat flavor
[-7] “Seraphim” 12.7mm AM Rifle (Electrocution)- Standard Attack
Deal 1d4+1d6+1d8+1d10+1d12 to target creature.
Rolls: 3+3+7+10+5= 28 damage, 10 Crit
BGotS Sacrilege Suppression Cannister (Buccaneer Blaze)
10: Deal 2d8 damage to target creature and that creature is blinded until the end of your next turn.
Rolls: 3+4=7 damage
Target A takes 35 damage, is blinded until the end of my next turn.
HP: 17
Pips: 1
Status: Resist 3
I will post the same things for the enemies on their turns, and repost initiative order as needed. Finally, Reactions and Interrupts are quite unwieldy in pbp, so if you have one that you want to use but aren't ready to post yet, speak up either in the thread or in the skype chat so that the combat doesn't move on without you.

Re: Dragon's Feud
A low rumble comes from Atlas' chest, veins popping up in his arms and forehead. He quickly starts flexing and stretching in a rapid sequence of what appears to be a warm-up routine, albeit very intense and fast-paced. He also begins to recite what seem like motivational mottoes that would come out of a cheap gym pamphlet, hyping himself up even more.

You suffer vulnerability 4 until the end of your next turn.
[–7] Intensive Workout Routine (Wild Abandon) - Minor Utility

Re: Dragon's Feud
Fet'Cher and the dog next to him move first. Fet'Cher takes a moment to look at the assembled enemies, and decides his best chance is to try and take out the minotaur first. He lunges forward, and stays low, latching his jaw onto Atlas' left hamstring and clamping down tight.
The other dog, meanwhile, immediately starts digging, quickly burrowing into the ground and disappearing from view, for the moment.
Atlas Takes 10 damage including Vuln, Dog 1 disappears from combat.

Re: Dragon's Feud
INTERRUPT
Peony's vantage point from above allows her to see Fet'Cher's attack on Atlas before it contacts. Immediately she psychically links with the minotaur, shouting ENEMY TO YOUR LEFT, BEEF BURGER! in his mind to warn him of the attack.
Could she have left out the namecalling? Perhaps. Does she care enough to do so? Not at all.
She then turns her wrath to Fet'Cher, and sends a lance of bubbling hot rage straight at the dog's walnut-sized brain. YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS!
Ouch.

Helmaroc swoops back around, putting Peony out of sight of the enemy despite her constant grumbling, though it probably improves the fragile breezie's chances of survival.
Then the eagle dives, pulling back at the last moment and unleashing a static shock at Fet'Cher from a beat of her wings.

Re: Dragon's Feud
"It's too early for this," Pumpkin mutters unhappily to herself as more dogs jump out of the bushes. As the fur begins to fly, she reaches into one of her saddle bags and produces a bright orange thermoses. She pops it open.
A gentle steam that rises from it. The smell of coffee and caffeine is so strong you could practically get a rush just from breathing it. She throws it back and takes a long chug. A second later, her wings snap open with a quiver, and she leaps into the air, hovering a few feet above the ground with rapid flaps of her wings. She's practically vibrating with energy.
"Alright, let's do this!"

Re: Dragon's Feud
Chassis's horn flashes, and a small toy soldier pony emerges from the cargo around her. It was the kind of toy often seen as Heath's Warming decorations...except this one flew around on a tiny jetpack and its musket was replaced with a much beefier weapon.
As it takes to the air, a small, tinny voice barks "Lieutenent Derringer, reportin' as ordered, SIR!" Then, in the next instant, the toy zips away from Chassis, shouting "TANGO SPOTTED!!" and pelts one of the dogs coming alongside the wagons with its ArcanoBuster rifle. Mossburg follows up the toy's assault with a blow from one of his hooves.
Once the two robots are clear, Chassis pushes the button to deploy the forcefield.
"Shield going up!"

Cherry let out a growl as she made her last preparations - attaching a cable from her generator to her crossbow. Finally, she thought. Cherry was a mare of action, and as high-strung as she was from lack of sleep, she had patience for little else. Not that these poor dogs would have any clue that she was sleep-deprived...
First, she pulled the trigger of her crossbow, and blunt bolt flew towards Fet'Cher. Once it struck, the tip splattered into a disgusting, stinky mess, sure to distract the unfortunate Diamond Dog for a few moments. A quick motion of a hoof, and one end of a cable flew out from the crossbow, impacting Fet'Cher before its other end flew towards Atlas. The current it delivered was minor, but every little volt helped, so Cherry believed.
For the first time, she grinned. "Yep, I've still got it! And I'm just getting started!"

The two dogs to the side of the wagon look set to move, but jump back when the forcefield goes up. Then, seeing what it is, they move in again, circling around and look for someone to bite. Dog 2 goes after Mossberg, charging in and swiping a heavy paw at his face. Dog 3, meanwhile, gets zapped by the toy soldier, and immediately counterattacks by pouncing on it and crushing it into the ground.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Fet'cher reels from the successive blows, drawing back from the minotaur. He opts not to attack the big guy again just yet, and instead turns to the mare that just shot him. Rounding on Chassis, he runs up and darts behind her, then pounces on her back with a snarl knocking her to the ground. Upon doing so, he lets out a loud, disorienting howl, and the other dogs disengage from their targets and scramble, running and yipping around the caravan excitedly.

As soon as Helmaroc swoops by so Peony can deliver her next mental assault, Dog 3 comes out of nowhere. The smallish dog lets out a flurry of high pitched yips as he leaps into the air to swat at Helmaroc, clipping her wing and sending her into careening into the nearest wagon. The screeching noise and sudden change of direction cause Peony to lose her concentration and feel a sudden psychic backlash.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Peony reels from the psychic backlash, but as rage fills her tiny form she screams out and backlashes the backlash, freeing herself from the stupor. Seething, she turns her attention to her teammates, and bellows psychically to all the combatants: GET 'EM!
The ripple of psychic energy revitalizes her allies, while physically bowling some of the dogs over in a crashing wave of force and knocking Fet'Cher sideways.
Helmaroc, in the meantime, rights her course of flight, and follows up with another lightning bolt at Fet'Cher's face.
As the lightning eagle goes in for the shot, Peony's wings flash again, and another pulse of psychic energy blasts Fet'Cher, taking the shape of a flurry of telekinetic claws that batters the diamond dog around. YOU PICK ON THE WRONG BREEZIE, CHUMP!

Re: Dragon's Feud
Excitement ripples through Pumpkin. Cherry's crazy gadgetry, Atlas's very, very impressive displays of strength, Peony... umm... well, whatever she's doing up there. She's too small to see properly. But what really gets her is seeing Chassis sending Mossburg out, and then sending out the little soldier robot. It's Metroplis of Paragons, only in real life!
Everyone loves the mega-bots, but in the show, there's a whole class of tiny ones with really cool designs that always hold a surprise or two, even when seemingly outmatched. She finishes off the last of that coffee, watching eagerly to find out what this little bot would do. The excitement turns to disappointment when the robot just immediately gets crushed. Then the disappointment gets washed away in a splash of cold water as Cherry gets knocked sideways by one of the dogs and then Helmaroc gets clipped, losing control and hitting one of the wagons.
She's not here to watch. This is not a show. This is actually happening and ponies are getting hurt.
Pumpkin flies forward, curving to soar next to Helmaroc, just as Peony unleashes some kind of wave of magic stuff that explodes outwards from her. It's REALLY a good thing they're on the same side, she thinks, not for the first time.
"Whatever that was, that was awesome! C'mon! The others need our help!" she says before folding her wings closer to her and zipping ahead, powered by enough caffeine to make an elephant explode, to clear a path for the scary angry breezie and the lightning-throwing bird.
Tag: Peony, then Fet'cher

Re: Dragon's Feud
PUMPKIN ASSIST
As Pumpkin streaks past Peony, some of her infectious energy even manages to budge the breezie's perpetual grumpiness, and she quickly turns over to the minotaur (who has way too many openings in his stance, like does he even realize his back is wide open for an ambush?) and surrounds him with a psychic barrier, halving the impact he takes from attacks.
The lug probably needs it, anyway.

Chassis' horn lights, and a pony-sized hole opens in the forcefield between Chassis and Dog 3. The red headband in her hair glows and her magic intensifies a split-second before a supercharged blast of magic explodes from it. The recoil tries to make her head buck, but she keeps it steady long enough to land the shot.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Cherry struggled to get up off the ground. Was she unused to pain or was the blow that powerful? Either way, she shook her head, trying to clear it. As she got to her hooves, she did the only thing she could under the circumstances - reload her heavy crossbow. "Ugh."
She finished her reload rather quickly, and made a snap shot at the first moving furball she saw. Unfortunately, the shot did little but ruffle said furball's fur, and she scowled. "Ugh!" she repeated.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Atlas stares in wonder at the swirling psychic energy around him for a moment, then sweeps his gaze across the battlefield where the diamond dogs are still reeling from Peony's psychic blast.
He had no doubt that Peony was able to protect herself - she lived in the wild, after all - but the psychic breezie goes beyond merely being able to protect herself. A force to be reckoned with?
He chuckles - the world has so many wonderful things hidden away! The Tale of the Angry Breezie must also be told, after this dragon job is done. Turning his attention back to the dogs, he cracks his knuckles before running up and throwing another punch at Fet'Cher, driving him away from the ponies, not really caring if he exposes himself or not.
"Hey, eyes on me, you mangy mutt! You want to get to them, you'll have to get through me, first!"

Ha! See that, Hellie? Dog go BOOM!
Peony's uproarious laughter rolls off of her in protective psychic waves, and she casts her gaze around the fight, readying her psionic powers to strike at the remaining dogs.
~Let's not get carried away, dear...~
Helmaroc says, even as she dives and strikes at one of the dogs with claws laced with crackling lightning.
