Cervidia! and more coming soon.
First and formost, some Deer...things. Going with the WtWE selection, for giggles.
Elk.
Elk kind are powerful and are seen with respect and awe. Lesser races have cowered and asked for there assistance for generations. There wills and whimsies have shaped nations.
Unfortunatly, the Elk know this. To put it bluntly, history is all they have.
Racials
Anything You Can Do:Elks get trained in an additional skill.
I Can Do Better 4/session: Elks may choose to reroll any Athletic's or Knowledge based-roll with a -5 penalty.
Nice Rack: You get the Mental Hold talent thanks to your naturaly large horns.
Deer.
Often seen as the Elk's little brothers, they have managed to make allies with ponykind. Springy and fast, they are potent allies and life-long friends. Deer tend to come from forested lands, often filled with danger, and over the generations they have adapted to living in hostile areas..
Racials
So You Think You Can Prance?: Deer get trained in an additional Precision skill.
Learn To Fear The Night: All deer get Nightwatch as a racial.
Adaptability: The PC chooses one terrain type. The Deer gains +6 to avoid dangers based on that terrain type.
Moose
The quiet big guy in the family that makes up Cervidia. They are often said to be master's of water, and can shape it like pegusi do clouds. This is wrong. However, more often than not, the moose you are looking at right now was probably born in a boat, or at least in a port city you probably could not even find on a map.
Racials
Pity The Hunter:Moose get the Yee-Haw talent for free.
Pratical Know-How: Moose start out trained with a extra Horse-Sense skill.
Dat Rack: Moose have the ability to levitate any amount of objects fifteen feet away from it as long as the total weight is less than ten pounds. This ability stacks with the talent Mental Hold.
Reindeer
Reindeer are a strange lot. Tending to live up north, they are known to be able to fly without wings. Having a sort of kindred to the frost and snow, they are known to be experts in the fields they choose to learn about. Some have said that there minds are "up in the clouds" because of there strange ideas, some saying that there magic effects there minds.
Racials
Magical Flight: Reindeer have the ability to fly without wings. However, they take -15 to any check while flying, due to the magical nature of there flight requireing constant attention and vigilance.
Gift That Keeps On Giving: Reindeer get a +4 when assisting allies as apposed to +2.
Freaky Hobbies: Reindeer have Freaky Knowledge as a racial skill, but the effect is doubled ( The Reindeer chooses 4 areas of interest).
Pronghorn
Pronghorn are among the weirdest of the cervidia. Actualy, it's debatable if they are even cervids at all. Neverless, there.....talents are valuble, and there information base is wide. But I assure you, do not let there kind ways fool you, for they have no issue in dealing dirt when push comes to shove.
Racial
Unfettered: Has Leggo! as a Racial talent.
Pfft, Too Wet To Travel?: You can ignore cover based on bad weather, and can see fine in cloudy conditions.
I Think I Know A Song..... 1/day: Thanks to the wonders of the oral history of your people, you can draw on the knowlage of your ancestors to reroll any Knowlage check and take the better result.
And finaly, some talents for one of our elf-stand in's to take.
Mental Hold- Any Cervid
You can (thanks you your branched horns) hold several items within 30 feet of you at once with magic. However, you cannot hold more than 20 pounds with your magic.
Watch This! 3/day- Pronghorn or Reindeer
Gain a +10 bonus to any Stunts check.
Son Of the Sea- Moose
You gain a +5 to any Mechanical check involving fixing items. You gain a +7 instead if the item in question was for the use of sailing, fishing, or any other trade relating to the sea.
Self-Cerving-Elk or Deer
When a ally assists you, you gain a +4 you your next roll.
Elemental Affinitie- Any Cervid
It is said that all creatures have a mystical bond to a element when they are born. However, Cervids are arrogent enough to belive that only they have the ability to tap into that bond. When you take this talent, choose a element from this list: Fire, Earth, Water, Air, and Wood. When you are to make a check dealing with the chosen element, (it be to avoid being burnt as you make a check to avoid fire, or attempt to carve a statue out of wood) you get a +4 bonus to said check. Some races are more prone than others to have "typical" affinites: for instance, it is said that nearly all moose are masters of the waters or that Pronghorns can be found using fire and earth. Elk can take this talent twice, either choosing another element or choosing to get a +8 in a single one.
Boldedly Traveled- Moose or Pronghorn
Your racial wanderlust has given you a interesting heritge. Well, culturaly. Your great-grandpappy might have sailed the ocean and spent a year in the lands of the Zebras, or you might have needed to deliver a message to strange sausage-shaped creatures in the frozen north who are strangly good speakers. Neverless, when you take this talent, choose one culture that you never actualy belonged too: you have a +6 to any history check to represent your passible knowlage of the group in question.
Excuse Me, I Am Going To Be Over There, Being Awsome 3/day-Elk
Gain a +10 bonus to any Acrobatic's check.

Yes, but I was going off the races here rather than create a template for every Whitetale or Blacktail. I assumed it was different enough from that thread, but if it's too close I apologise.

Re: Cervidia! and more coming soon.
Never heard of that before.
I try to design race mechanics based off their real world equivalent and details demonstrated in the show. Using a fanfic series kinda... affects their flavor.

I agree here. I got to the point in moose where they were underwater pegasi and hit a giant "WAT?", so knowing it's based on a fanfic series makes that make more sense, though it still makes absolutely no sense to me.

Hehehe, yeah, perhapes the Moose need a...toneing down. To be exact, they lived in the northern areas, and by extention served as sailors and occasionaly water-based magic user's (its odd, but so are colorful prancing ponies being a world power ) Also, I was using that series because, well, it's a base. I mean, this is literaly a take on a species that has no support in canon what so ever, so why not use somthing that's a vaugly well thought out starting point?

Re: Cervidia! and more coming soon.
Don't worry about if it makes a huge amount of sense yet. Just try designing cool racial traits and crazy concepts. There's always room for fun, and we've got a solid racial expansion as is - 11 races with Zebras going in (I'm pretty sure we can make them work) so feel free to get wacky on additional races. It'll be a few weeks before the next racial expansion I expect, so we have lots of time to try out fun, wild ideas.

On a related note there is a poorly written explanation for the origin of the Old Holly Hooves myth in the comments. From me. I am awesome. Please love me.

Hmm.....neet.Also, considering you are the first person to respond to my first post....I was already kinda likeing you.
Anyway, I guess this is the moment where someone who has been working on this project for the batter part of the summer tears apart my shoddely-made races? No? Please?

Re: Cervidia! and more coming soon.
Oh very well if you really want it.... They all are awful and you should feel awful.
Yes? No? I don't really do insults.
Oh, you wanted criticisim! Well then, let me just read them through.
Elk, nonono, we can't have talents affecting stats. An extra skill training is fine, but the other two racials don't work.
Deer... actually seem to fit pretty well (aside from actobatics training. Maybe give them an extra training flat?). However, for Born to run, I suggest you just give them a bonus in a player selected terrain. Like, +5 to deal with X terrain, instead of YOU WIN ALL ROLLS IN X TERRAIN!
Redo the Moose.
Reindeer's only talent that I like is two Freaky Knowledges.
Proghorns are pretty good, except for Watch This. Actually, as a general rule, what you suggest as racials that I reject should be made into talents.
Your actual talents are actually pretty good.

"sniff"
Wahhh! It's perfect! Your wrong! I....
Ah who am I kidding. Time to work on my delightful dancing deeries!
Crap, that abiltiy Deer got was worded badly. There supposed to get something like your saying.
Also, on Reindeers: I kind of want them to have magical flight, but in a way that's inherently worse than Pegusi and such. In return, they should get some sort of supa speshul bonus to...something besides four hobbies.
