Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
Ok, now that's something to rebalance it for... Dealing with mutli-attack talents such as crescendo are totally broken when comboed with Wild Abandon. It'd be a pure 10d6 extra damage as is if you somehow combo those two talents.
Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
As far as Wild Abandon goes, I agree with rebalancing it to only give bonus damage 1/round. As it stands it is a little crazy.
Now for a build working around Wild Abandon as is:
Arcing Bolt
Wild Abandon
Drain Blood
Crescendo
Taunting Strike
The basic idea here is to get your bonus damage as many times as possible. Add in a spellblade and every turn you can do 1d4+6d6+3 damage to a single creature, or 3d6 to 3 creatures and 4d6 + 3 to 1. Also, every time you can, you use Crescendo. It will end people square in the face.

Wouldn't once per attack be better than once per round? Once per round hardly seems worth it.

Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
Once Per Attack just sounds to vague to fix the issue of comboing it with Crescendo... OR other multi-attack builds.
Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
But it isn't. The +2d6 only happens once. It doesn't matter once per whatever you say. It's still only once no matter how often it's phrased to happen.

Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
An alternative possibility would be for it to only buff attacks which deal damage to small numbers of enemies, eg:
This would still let you use it on adjacency targeting attacks and such, but keep it off of any mass targeting attacks or something like crescendo. It would also get the bonus damage out of utilities, so that Wild Abandon characters could be easier to control with blindness.
[-7] Wild Abandon - Standard Utility [Created by Karilyn]
For the rest of the battle you deal an extra 2d6 damage with attacks with 3 or fewer targets, and you suffer Vulnerability 3.

Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
So... Fleshrender. A weapon that increases ongoing damage by 2, every time you do damage to an enemy with ongoing damage. Pretty nifty, but not all that powerful...
OR IS IT?
Requirements: Fleshrender, Motion Blur, Hurricane Blade
Will Motion Blur allowing one to use Flash-Step twice per turn, and the two +1's allowing one to use Gale every turn, your doing three hits per turn. Of course, if your opponent has Resist 2, you'll only be adding 2 ongoing damage per turn instead of 6... unless you have a way to increase the damage of flashstep, like... duelist?
That's not even taking into account Conjurer's pet & Conjurer's shadow, increasing the ongoing damage by 2, if it hits.

Fury, have you noticed that I've used fleshrender a crap tonne of times? I think the fact that fleshrender is really really good has been proven beyond a doubt.

I never said it wasn't good, I just think people don't know its full potential.
And no, I'm pretty certain I've never RPed with you before, so why would I know that you've used fleshrender a lot?

I'm pretty sure that even if someone has posted about how cool something is before - that doesn't mean that other people aren't allowed to as well. Especially when the new trait revamp came out.

I haven't read that many of them.

Very true. I mean, with Motion Blur, you can deal up to an additional 6 ongoing damage to one guy...
And I just realize Gale can hit up to three enemies, and Fleshrender hits on all 3, right?

Fleshrender triggers whenever you damage an enemy, yep.

Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
So long as all the targets are suffering from ongoing damage, you can definitely make things go boom.

Indeed... never noticed ongoing damage was quite so powerful.

Considering the nature of this thread, you probably should read things in it before making comments.Fury of the Tempest wrote:[color=blue]thematthew wrote:I'm referring to the builds in this thread.

Excuse me for not reading everything, or remembering everything.
Besides, wasn't there a huge argument in this thread?

Skipping arguments is one thing. Ignoring the content of a thread solely to hijack it to make random commentary that doesn't really relate to the purpose of the thread is another.

1. I didn't know when the arguement ended, so I just to the end.
2. I'm tperfect, I'm not going to remember everything.
3. The purpose of the thread is for powerful combinations.

Re: Breaking the Unbreakable
Since there's both an archaic argument of things like how to balance for probability and such in this thread - plus apparently there's confusion on whether this actually *is* the place to post cool combinations - I'll make a fresh thread with that purpose in mind.
