Want To Play? Looking For A Group? Post Here!

If you're a player looking to join a group or help form a new one, post here! Feel free to include details about why you want to play in a Pony Tales game, your availability and/or what kind of character you have in mind. Let's get some more games going.

If anypony is willing to be patient with a new player, I am looking for a group! I've been interested in pen-and-paper for quite some time, but never had the opportunity to try it out. I can't think of any better way to get into it than with and MLP-themed game! I promise I'm laughably fun and a pretty fair writer, I think.

I'm open for any type of campaign and have two ideas for characters that I really like. I'm reading the hell out of the player guide right now and trying my best to make character sheets for them, but anyone who wants to look it over and give me tips would be a saviour in my eyes. To summarize in a sentence, one character's bg is that she's an earth pony woods guide living near the Everfree Forest; the other is a freshly enlisted royal guard pegasus on night duty. Believe me, they're way more fleshed out in my head, but that's just the basic, minimum description.

I work 8-5 PST, but am pretty much available any time after that and on weekends. If it's a forum thing, I can post at least once a day, and I'm sure I can figure out skype for other types as well. I might have to buy one of those high-fallutin' headphone/mic combos.

Hey lyric,

If you're interested in doing a forum RP, we've got one going on right now on this forum. Check under Campaigns - and it's Masterweaver that's running the show. We're still in need of at least 1 or 2 more bronies to join in. The only catch is that you'd have to play a non-pony race, as Stairc's using the adventure as a kind of racial dry run. There are some cool options though - like Minotaurs, Buffalo, Hippogriffs, possibly Baby Dragons (though we're still working the bugs out of that last one). Maybe you could switch out one of your current concepts to work with the races listed above?

If you want some help with your character creation, post up your work-in-progress. I'm sure that me or one of the other RPers can help.

I'm definitely interested. I'd probably be much better in a forum-based version to start out with, as I've done text-based roleplaying for years, but never anything D&D or the like. I'm definitely going to need a bit of help if I've got to think of something that isn't a pony, but I'm sure it'll end up just fine. Thanks for the tip!

Great to have you. And you can always spectate in one of my skype games too.

I'd like to play as well. I'd have a liked to play an Earth pony traveling merchant, but maybe a minotaur might not be so bad.

Hopefully a campaign that provides some more classic race options will open soon. And heck, Demonu might have some room in his Skype games too. The waiting list for mine is... Really long right now.

I'm up for a game, though I've sadly never really ever played. So if a newbie is welcome in any game, I'm up for it.

I might be able to squeeze in another game but that would be only for people living in Europe and I don't think there are a lot of those around here...

I'm interested! I think I've been ejected from Masterweaver's game for lack of room, so I'm open right now. I really want to try out this system; after all, it's 20% simpler than every other system I've ever heard of! What's not to like? In terms of what character I want to play... well, I'm fairly flexible, if prone to eccentric characters. However, I have been wanting to make and play a cleric of Discord...

A) Haven't had a chance to play in another game yet
B) Have posted a lot on the forums or otherwise contributed to the development of Pony Tales

If you have either of those qualities, you'll stand a fine chance.

Yep, DMing does count as playing. But hey, very few people seem to have both A and B (Warriorofmanyfaces is one of the few).

You mean your first post in this thread? Or is it a different thread in the Roleplaying section? If so, now would be a good time to note that my Internet's being weird and not letting me get to that part of the forum... even though I can access individual threads within if they're linked directly. Not sure why. In any event, if it's a different thread, you'll need to give me a direct link, because I can't get there through more normal methods. XP

I'm DMing 2 games: how far do you think that sets me at the back of the line?

But, DMing isn't playing....in fact that should put you at the top shouldn't it? Or at least the way I figure things it should.
