Kindness: One of Heart

"I can not speak for ze others," Spy responded, standing up to pull a cigarette from his pocket. "But I, for one, do not." He paused to light the cigarette with a quick spell before taking a drag on it.

"I thought he lived in a hotel. Didn't even realize he was a local." Justified stands up as well. "I think I should be as out of sight as possible in this little show of force. Don't imagine the cowboy portrays an image of peace among most ponies."

"I should think keeping the hat out of sight should suffice," Spy commented. "All you officers, does nopony know how to drezz down?"

((I'm really kicking myself for not taking Art of the Dress. I wanted it, but decided against it... Unless the GM will let me tweak?))

Blanket scowled a little at the officers insistence. That didn't stop her from nodding.

"Yes ma'am," she said. Who knew? Maybe Gallagher's celebrity might help convince the crowd to keep a cool head. She tried to believe that as she added, "I'll March him out myself if that's what it takes."

She glanced at the small group, settling on Justified.
"A protest doesn't mean anything; no one likes the hat," she said dryly. "But losing it would be a start. Of course, since you don't exactly have a uniform, maybe you could try working the crowd. They might take suggestions not to anything more seriously from a marshals star than officer blue."

"You've already admitted to not knowing where he lives. Just wait a moment..." Brass thinks for a moment before grabbing a piece of paper and a pen and writing down an address. "This should be where he lives or at the very least the house in which he has his mail addressed."

"More than I usually have to go on." Justified says, taking the address. "Less he's gone into hiding, I'll have him out at the protests in a few."

"Very well then. I shall be off," Eye Spy responded, turning to leave the building.

Justified resets his hat on his head, and exits the station as well, taking note of the address and making his way in that direction.

Brass follows after Eye Spy.

It takes the group only a few minutes to reach Gallagher's place, and his exact apartment is an easy find, following the trail of glitter he left behind him from the party last night. (Paper please describe what the party finds of your home, it being your place after all)

The apartment which Gallagher resides is a rather nice one; clean, open plan, good view. It is admittedly littered with all sorts of different writing equipment and tools on the tables and desks around. Also an abacus for some reason. Gallagher had left his keys in the door, and currently rests upon the couch he is slumped over...

Blanket stood in the hall of the apartment building, trying to look professional and ward away any tenants with ideas of acting up. So far, it was working- though whether that was because of the SCPD Blue or her demeanour was difficult to tell. She looked in at the apartment- cleaner than she was expecting- then looked back at the rest of the squad.

"Do one of you want to do the honours," she said motioning for the room, "or should I?"

Justified shrugs and pushes the door open, strolling over to the couch. "Hey, get up." He says, prodding the sleeping griffon in the chest.

The griffon starts to stir a bit before finally opening his eyes slowly, and looking generally sleepy and confused at the sheriff...

"GEEEEET UUUUUP. Or we're gonna flip the couch. Time to go to work." Justified kicks the couch once to emphasize it.

Blanket rolled her eyes. If they had to take Gallagher with them- and the chief was insistent that they did- the least the griffon could do was get up on time. Every second spent trying to drag him out of bed was a second away from doing her damn job...

Her ears pricked at Justified's 'threat', a small look passing her muzzle before returning to her stony expression. If Eye was there, he might have recognised it as a brief smirk.

She waited a moment- long enough to give the griffon a chance to respond- before walking past Justified, and to behind the sofa.
"We don't have time to waste on this,"- she took up a stance, with her shoulder up against the sofa, her hooves dug in for leverage and her wings spread for balance- "so get up"

Blanket grunted, shoving the couch forward and up.

Eye Spy got off the taxi about a block away from the protest, and (after paying the taxi pony) went down an alleyway, dragging a suitcase behind him.

The stallion that walked out several minutes later was a tall, stocky earth pony with a tan coat and purple mane, sporting a worn fedora and a pencil behind the ear, a small camera hanging around the neck. Spy spent the next minutes getting into character as he walked the rest of the way to the protest; he was a reporter now, chasing down a story on the latest political issues of the time: which he realised would be a bit challenging, considering he didn't keep up with politics and therefore didn't have much idea as to what was going on. He decided to cloak himself on top of the disguise, keeping to the walls and shadows as he faded from sight...

Checks:

Shimmer just looks to Blanket then to the flipped couch and facehoofs. After a few seconds he gives a tired sigh and walks over to help Gallagher up.

Gallagher kinda begins to get up when Blanket starts moving the couch. "Woah woah woah," he responds, "I'm up, I'm up. No need to make it literal."

Winter shifted slightly uncomfortably, before stepping forwards. He usually wasn't one to draw attention to himself but somepony needed to actually explain the situation. He stood up as straight as he could ( hoping to look taller in the process) and said in as professional a manner as he could muster, "Mr. Gallagher? Sir? The SCPD has need of your help."

Brass following Winter's lead steps forward a heartbeat later.  It would be imperative to make haste. We were expected to be ready and in position by now. You can be informed of the details along the way.

Blanket eased off the couch, but glared at the griffon over the top.

"What they said," she said, rounding the sofa. "We're late as it is, so get moving, before I decide to just throw you over my shoulder and carry you there."

Actually, that was probably a bit much, even for Blanket...but still, it got the point across. Whatever her personal feelings for Eye, they were on the same team. Leaving someone-a partner- in a potentially dangerous situation, without backup...
It made Security Blanket...testy.

"Everypony's in such a damn hurry all of a sudden." Justified rolls his eyes at the officers. "If it was 30 minutes ago and someone kicked you out of the chair you passed out in after the party, wouldn't you want a minute or two to get your head together?" He extends a hoof to help Gallagher get to his claws and paws.

After standing up so straight, this time Winter shrunk down slightly. "Yes, of course. You're right, sir. Marshall" He hoped his cheeks weren't visibly heating up. They all had a job to do. Not the time to get distracted by what they should have done. Or other things.
