Dates and Times

Current Team Members!
Deep Sleep: Hayate Cooper
Tatter Hide: Zarhon
Daydream: Deonte9109
Axe: Newbiespud
Rain: Tyger
Rules, Regulations, Stuff
Talent Spec = Ok = https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rs21ioj-bahkh5nziVJ5hDVABnhEDr18ywaEc_eapO4/edit?pli=1
GE with 8 points = Ok
Flaws = No
Any non-pony races? = Non-ponies are allowed. Griffon, Buffalo, changeling, Deer, Slime, Zombie, Robot. Whatever it is it's allowed.
No Jinxing, at best it will slow the game, at worst it will get most of the organisation killed.
The Grapple rules may be used at times when combat is a bad idea: https://ponytales.forumotion.com/t500-grapple-rules-for-pony-tales
The Paper Shadow combat expansion will also be available if anyone wants to use it but you don’t have to: https://ponytales.forumotion.com/t385-paper-shadow-s-combat-ideas . Google Document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gHTnxBnAkyGvN-Zl1sLcHdeacnacroJxEqVqPRXhsHg/edit
Needs! Microphone(Must have) and Stable Internet Connection(desirable)
Other rules!
Preferably the Mic is for Rp and non-rp is for the chat box(Impromptu jokes are fine. But try not to clog up the mic with stuff like "but my arcana bonus is like 85 million and the rules state A, B and C which means....)
Chances of character death, potential. I'm not outright trying to kill you, but screw up when it comes to combat and death is a serious possibility.
Subtlety is decidedly optional, think more No More Heroes than Hitman if that makes sense to you, but will be useful at times, blowing up a line of buildings to kill one target will cause you more problems in the long run than sneaking in and putting a knife into his/her neck or even just charging in and fighting everything you see.
I also don’t want to hear anyone who joins angst about being an assassin, you chose this career, though this also doesn’t mean you should be a murderous scumbag all the time either, bad for business.
Apart from enjoy yourselves. you can always PM me if you have questions.
Currently looking for a total of 5/6 applicants, got 5 so it will need to be a good character to make it to 6. It may be fairly combat heavy so be sure of your build.
Current Applicants:
Edit: There will be plot and storylines to follow, not just running around killing things. My apologies for not making this clear immediately.

I WANT IN!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_JEXBKtmMoknAJ6p3xO7WWH8ucdpPiCSLU35nYhOUXg/edit
And so I propose Deep Sleep. And Underhanded poisoner who just wants to know if it was really her fault. Her interests include Medicinal Remedies, poisons, hugging and murder.

I would join, since I like the idea, but I don't have Skype, and I don't think I'd be able to roleplay while talking out loud, so I'll pass, but I do wish you good luck...

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
Heh, figures this crops up RIGHT after I sign up for another PbP, and when I've got a hell-period of studying to do.
I think I'll join anyway. Far too interesting to pass the opportunity.
My character is Tatter Hide: A batpony gambler-turned-assassin after a small run-in with a few organized crime hit-ponies. Her main MO is a heavy application of electricity, to ensure those long-lasting hoofshakes and hugs. Her status as an assassin is one of convenience, business, and "gambling" thrill. She's also a slight-bit jittery and twitchy from the raw energy she employs.
Unfinished sheet be here. It's slightly outdated right now, since it's based off a character concept for a different campaign, so I still have to change a few things. Should be done within a day, though.

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
Wooo! Skype campaign.
I happen to have one of my lovely characters waiting in the wings who would be appropriate for this:
Mirror Image
I don't have the grapple charms on there yet... And the combat build doesn't really get good until level 2, but in a Skype campaign that ought to be manageable.

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
Just a heads up, Misdirection costs 4 pips now...
Also, Payout is going to become a trait when I actually remember to do that, because some previous change revealed that the devs don't want passive combat talents, but until I actually get around to doing that, it's fine as it is...

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
Okay, I edited and finished my sheet.
Tatter Hide
Tatter Hide is a high-risks pony that enjoys the thrill and innate danger of gambling. She's energetic, jittery, twitching, and slightlyunhinged enthusiastic about anything lightning-related. Her clothing hides her casino-chip cutie mark, as well as the rather unsightly scarring on her back, from her first (later, repeated) lightning bolt strike.

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
Metagamer destiny? How worrisome... With any luck you'll be flavoring it in a way that WON'T require me to react the way Mirror would if somepony made her start questioning her existence?

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
Well, the destiny isn't set in stone. I might give her something else, if her character development takes a certain route (Vile Villain, if she turns particularly unhinged, Rockstar, if she goes the electric instruments route...).
Flavor-wise, she's using metagamer to be really, really lucky, which she eventually figures out as a fact she can now control directly. Alternately, she already considers life a "game of gambles". Getting 4th wall would just have her go "HA! I KNEW IT!". She probably wouldn't have an existential crisis - if anything, her existence would be enforced via meta-proof of a creator, which makes her exist by having me will her into existance. She'd probably be considerate enough to not cause a crisis in anypony else (or isn't allowed by the DM), though she would be willing to make rather "unfair" bets, or indulge in a little reality-controlling megalomania.
By the way, I think I'll swap out Honesty for Laughter Element. Flavor-wise, Honesty would pretty much be her being terrifyingly good at interrogation (which she doesn't really need an Element for ), and Laughter kind of fits her "wild luck" theme. I might further upgrade it with the "Master of Madness" destiny (her "luck" starts warping reality, reaching staggeringly bizarre/improbable effects, Hitchiker's-Guide-to-the-Galaxy style), assuming the DM is willing to allow the destiny in the first place, of course.
Out of curiosity, how exactly would Mirror react to a existential crisis?

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
1. Kill the instigator
2. Try to wipe her own memory of the event, if failed proceed to step 3
3. Sleep on it, calm herself down, and find a way to retry step 2/disprove the basis of the crisis/repress the SH*T out of some issues; if failed, proceed to step 4
4. OMNICIDAL RAMPAGE
5. ???
6. Profit
Incidentally, I would LOVE to see Master of Madness in action.

Re: Skype Campaign: War of the Assassins!
Seeing as how I have nothing but spare time now which is both good and bad.....
Just to put this out there this would be my first Skype game if you have any issues with that. Then as far as characters go I can probably come with something within the next 24 hours.
EDIT: Well apparently my creativity and inspiration for a another OC seems a bit dry right now. Anywho I am still interested if youll have me.

So after much head scratching and no sleep finally got it done.
Daydream hopefully can perform on the same level as everypony else.

Looking at his picture, I can't help but imagine the colt having a Bronx / Babs Seed accent. Sounds pretty fitting for out crazy group.
Also, unless I'm mistaken, doesn't he get 5 utilities (you took only four)? It's also a bit unclear which talent you upgraded / shortened prep time of your talent spec points.
Do any of us have magic tricks/magecraft to use? I think we're lacking in that department so far. Would suggest it for Deep Sleep, since it magical tricks offers more than a few "illusionary" cantrips to use.
Unless someone else plans on joining with a magic-oriented character, of course.

Well he is an assassin. And just because he sounds dark doesnt mean that he is in character.

At first I was going to have him? be dark ad brooding then I the thought of non serious came to me then after seeing Disgaea I was like yep that needs to happen now. Probably have it so that his? assassinations are a by product of his interactions with ponies.
