Three words: Magic Point Spam...

I can see where this is about to go.

No, I'm not saying where it's going, because just in case I'm wrong I'd rather not give anybody bad ideas.

Proc did you know of the Joker Doc there be a bit on Time Ponies... Giving them a full 12 regens?

I did know that, though had forgotten it.

Only problem with taking it is that I don't want to take the full joke-racey set, and that I'm pretty sure at my current level just taking that one racial triat (though no number is attached so I can't be sure) I'd lose access to my cutie mark and not gain it back until I got the level seven shapeshifter destiny - oops! Spoilers.

Unless everyone BUT me built their race with eight points in mind, not six, thereby giving me an excuse to up my character's capabilities before entering the game. I never bothered to really add up the cost of the racial traits I saw you guys take, and I know at least one of you did...

P.S. If any of you have the loyalty trait (have not looked at the sheets in a while, sorry) and a magic point, might want to use it in Nightmare Moon...now.

I just offer the joke option cause we are getting Discord's kid and that's using a joke race too.

Discord might just be able to re-brainwash Nightmare Moon if we use Loyalty on her, but I doubt he can make her forget what she saw for that split second she was herself!

Then she could still be a potential ally.
What NMM wants is the complete opposite of Discord:
Eternal Night, no sunrise, no sunset, all under her rule.
Discord wants constant change, and probably only "rules" in so far as everybody has to listen to him or he gets angry, without actually caring whether they see him as a ruler

Oh that's what makes this RP so great... We all want in it, but yet at the same time it's easy to avoid the death combat too. XD

Personally I'm happy to see them win this without combat. I like Nightmare Moon regardless if she's Luna or not. She's cool.

While it seems they've not bypassed a boss fight... Dude, you gotta give them something. Or your going to get everyone annoyed to death at trying to do outside the box thinking to solve this game. Cause pure combat is BORING!!! Even for Discord it'd be so. True, I get it you want to still do the fight. just you gotta clearly be not being a dick in doing it. Show us what the party won with their hard fought skills checks and use of loyality got them? Cause right now it seems like, they won an ally, that the GM decides to say "nope" and turn the new ally into a boss fight. Pulling stuff like this is pure dick move. The fact we're playing a Discord ruled game only can go so far...

It's Discord. He hardly plays fair, and while he might not enjoy just combat watching us attempt to win allies and subsequently flipping them on us is probably quite amusing to his sadistic mind.

He already voiced about wanting to use "this boss fight" therefore it was a logical to view that now they're going to have to fight a "loony luna" right now. And if I"m wrong about this turn of events, I by all means, hope I am. Just my two cents on what's goin' on.

And Kal, while that is true, to me... It just don't feel like discord is behind this... But more that the GM is. And I'm just voicing my complains that come from that that feeling.

Xel: they knew what they were getting into when they picked this game. I specifically said it would be pretty much all combat. How can I be a jerk for delivering what I promised? Besides, they managed to get her out from Discord's illusions for a little bit, which was more than I anticipated to begin with.

Why not just reflavor the NMM monster build as the next thing we face?
We spent two magic points a once a day a charge of a 3/day and a large amount of time and emotional energy

side note combat right now would not be the best idea as bee has fainted

Yeah combat is going to play a big role. We all understand that. But if you don't want to give ANY type of reward for the party using, TWO MAGIC POINTS, one charge on a 3/day, along with all the skill checks used in that little scene alone. I'm sorry but I don't think I'll be able to play with that. Nor do I think your game has much hope in lasting much longer before it crashed and burned.

You have to just sometimes allow the combat to be avoided. Just make it next time be all the harder to pull off...

or use characters that we do not like or do not know (OCs)

I would agree if it were actually out of character for any involved, or if it came completely out of left field.
Here, we actually could have figured it out and prefented NMM being rehypnotized, we were just... late.
Feels weird defending a move that negated all that work, but hey.
Also, there might be a reason why this is such an important fight: We know the discord statue is fake, but are all of the others?

I say we bludgeon Nightmare moon halfway to unconciousness, smash the statues and if Busy Bee still has a magic point loyalty bomb her.
At the very least this gives us a chance to get killed and let other players join.
