A World, A Part

Dynamo facehooves at this turn of events... Hoping somebody else would have a suggestion at what to do next.

Fallen Arches stares blankly at the ceiling, "Hmm, why would there be a ceiling outside?"

Gnarl's eye widened. The left one. The right one was too busy narrowing to widen.

Seeing no pertinent distinctions between the inn's clients, Vinnie heads for the nearest table with two guests. (Or failing that, just the nearest table with guests).
"Hi there, mind if I join you?"
Then, seeing the weird creature walking up the wall, he gazes at it in astonishment

((Detect thoughts on the folks at the table, using up the rest of my charges. Doubt I'll get the chance for others ^^))

They don't say anything immediately but, they think, Meatball, Yes, we were just in the middle of- what the buck is that thing!?

Then the room explodes into sudden activity (and noise the others can hear from outside) as everyone either runs away (upstairs mostly though some people do leap behind couches or under tables) or draws weapons (though there really aren't too many armed sorts, only about a dozen).

Following the lead of those around him, Vinnie dives for the nearest cover.
He proceeds to monitor the thoughts of his three targets, hoping the'll let something slip in the panic.

Unfortunately for Vinny those three have all fled out of line of sight.

The Reaper observes the sheep.

The sheep continue to chat, unaware (as is the Reaper) of the commotion.

shards! its all gone to hell in there. what should we do? Kyath projected.

"It's like the town event all over again..." Dynamo mutters.

The Reaper, bored with the sheep, looks into the other windows.

Gnarl sighed, shaking his leafy head back and forth a few times. "Sprouts these days wooden't know stealth if it grew up twinin' around them," he murmured to himself, stalking off a short distance away.

Fallen Arches continues to stare at the ceiling, somewhat perplexed. Then he notices the commotion about the room, "Hey... this doesn't look like the outside... Only one thing left to do." Summoning up power from the clasp he wears, Fallen Arches attempts to float down from the ceiling with as much theatrics as possible, "People of uhm... wherever this is, I have need of information! None shall be harmed if my questions are answered, and you give me your most delicious of beverages! I have spoken!"

Spoiler:

"What do you want to know!?" shouts out a mouse in a high pitched voice while fumbling around trying to load a bolt into his crossbow and a minotaur waitress holding a frying pan adds, "No free beverages without booking a room!" as if to scare the evil thing away with the dreadful certainty of a lack of free chocolate milk.

The next room over the Reaper sees four beings rush in and slam the door shut then lock it. They stand around nervously and quietly for a moment and then crowd around the door with their ears pressed to it.

The Reaper taps the top of it's scythe against the jawbone of it's skull thoughtfully, should it try to listen in just in case they say anything or should it scare them by tapping on the window?
After a moment it decides to try both, mostly for giggles but fear does occasionally make looser tounges, and tries to listen in for a minute.
After that it floats above the window, so it can retreat to the roof if one of the beings tries to lean out of the window, and taps on it with the scythe, listening for the reaction.

At first the Reaper hears nothing and then.... more nothing. Being above the window it can't see if there was any reaction.

Fallen Arches surveyed the cowering assembly, "Where is the one called..." he scans the group again, while pausing dramatically before bellowing, "BOSS MOLASSES? I seek knowledge of those you might call master!" Then he adds, "Well, other than me. You can call me master, and don't have to tell me anything about myself. Also, why can't I have something to drink? I'm thirsty."

The crowd looks really confused. The waitress replies, "Because you haven't paid!" and there's a few murmurs of things like, "This is an inn in the middle of the woods. Why does this creature think anyone would bother laying claim to it?" with replies of shrugs and "Dunno." and "Wouldn't this be in Lady Chocolate's territory anyway?" After a few moments of this the mouse points to the west and says, "Boss Molasses' territory is mostly to the west. Good luck with that since the roads from here go north and east." A pony chimes in with, "Well, he's got some north western territories too. Like that contested one he just got."

Fallen Arches just looks at the waitress, "Paid?"

The Reaper cautiously peeks through the window.

The group of five has apparently left the room, leaving the door open.

"Yes. You know, an exchange of goods. Typically involving money." the waitress replies, clearly mockingly, and pulling out a chocolate coin and waving it at Fallen Arches for emphasis.

Kyath stretched his wings, and flew up the side of the building, to where the Reaper was floating by a window, peering in. what's going on? he projected to the floating eldritch thing.

The Reaper looks at Kyath and shrugs.
