Ponysona 4, the Campaign.

"Ooh hey, I could modify these to be thruster lenses." Brash says, picking up two large expensive looking gems almost the size of a hoof, then tosses them to the drones following him around for them to start doing that before continuing to charge forth.

Seeing the others scramble for chests as they reach the seeming centre of the room, Icing nabs one from near the start of the corridor-like floor. 'The school crest?' He shrugs, holding it just in case it may come useful into his pack, and uses the scant time the others spent analyzing their gifts to catch up.

Tilt just uses the moment to take a quick breather, pacing on the spot while waiting for the others to finish up. She didn't see anything that caught her fancy right now. "Everypony holding up okay?" she asks, waiting up for everypony to grab their share and get moving before bringing up the rear. Nothing like a good run to get the blood flowing and shake off mental exhaustion.

The party collects their items and then rushes to the next floor, seeing Star and his shadow. Brash can hear, due to his arcane eye
"Come now, why don't I come clean? After all, while lies are what I'm based on, the truth has to come out sometime..."
"There's NOTHING for me to say!"
"Oh? Why don't we just have the Doctor tell what I do?"
He sees Star freeze. "W-what?"
"Too bad it wasn't a sports star- what we've done would've been mentioned sooner."
"I haven't done anything!"
"Then why do I need to take pills to get as good with magic as I am." The shadow laughs. "All I am is a lying scum bag who can't cast even a telekinesis spell without help."
"THAT'S A LIE!"
"Aw, but all I can do is this." The blade is fired, cutting into the counterpart's side as he screams. "I can't even defend myself."
Star grabs the knife in his grasp, keeping it to his wound as he staggers. "You..." HE pants and glares. "... You're lying."
"The best lies are the ones with a glimmer of truth." He loses the timbre. "I've had help. I'm doing things to help myself." The shadow laughs.

(two rounds before you reach the floor. You can prepare an action.

"Home stretch, everypony, put in everything you've got!" Full Tilt demonstrates the meaning of her name, as she lowers her head and breaks into her full galloping speed, rocketing straight from the back of the pack and past Brash as soon as the path becomes clear. She clicks her stopwatch, setting it timing.

"Don't stop for anything, Star's life depends on it!" she calls back to the ponies near the back of the pack.

Zeela nods and follows Full Tilt's lead.

No real action here to prep since I figure we're just gonna jump right into combat.

Acrobatics: 15 + 8 = 23. Didn't include the +5 from old Flying Ace or re-roll from new Flying Ace as, I'm waiting for the other major changes to finish up to re-build characters. Especially since it would be kinda weird if we had certain people re-building twice in a row or something.

Icing makes a mental check of the items around him, and rushes along with the group. His steps spring forward with the energy boost coming in from his allies. Unfortunately, he maybe sprung a bit too hard, unused to the energy...

"Yeah, we don't have time to mess around...!" Melody nodded, dashing after them, trying to keep up, eyes darting about..She didn't want to make the same mistake twice...

The party reaches the staircase, however Icing stumbles slightly and Shiro helps keep him from falling too far behind. ((Those rolls actually get you there in one round.))

The party reaches Star and his shadow, Star bleeding and the Shadow popping another pill into it's mouth. "How about my Lovely assistant tell the truth for us?" George his grabbed in a telekinetic grip and pulled over to the shadow.
((Stunts or the like to avoid it.))
"Now, why don't you tell everypony what you found?"
"D-don't! Please! I can't let anypony know that..." Star pants, more fearful than anything "I-It's not what I want to be..."
"Heh. Too late!."

"George, look out!"

Tilt pivots and attempts to tackle George out of the way when the shadow tries to pick him up.

George twists around and tries to hold onto Tilt, mouthing (beaking) something as he does so.

Tilt isn't the most used to reading griffon body language, but she tries her best, drawing on what she knows of pegasus body language and the flapping of George's beak.

"My eyebot, oh right, come here eyebot," Brash says and the weird glassy eyebot flies over to him and stuff itself into one of his bags as he continues speaking, "let me overheard Star and his Shadow talking earlier. It was saying something about pills and needing them for magic or something?"

"It is fine. I cannot even do magic with pills, remember, it might seem a negative aspect of you, but it is still you. We accept you, even with your flaws." Icing calls out to Star. Hopefully a message of peace wouldn't get the shadow riled up, but for some reason, despite the message of peace, Icing still had his persona card out, ready to call and command. (The reason, of course, was experience.)

Melody paused for a moment, her eyes going wide as George was dragged off, trying to make out what he was trying to tell them, narrowing her eyes...Still, though, she listened, shaking her head. "This isn't good, his Shadow's already completely out of hoof...What's gonna happen if he rejects it outright...!?" She was beyond nervous, now...

The shadow easily pulls George to his side. "FILLIES AND GENTLECOLTS! TODAY, THE GREAT AND MAGICAL STAR POWER WILL REVEAL ALL."
"D-don't..."
"Now, what is my secret."

Tilt grabs George and tries to pull him out of the shadow's grip. She had no idea what was going to happen when the shadow became aggressive - part of her feared the shadow would bind the griffon like it did her in its anger. "It's you! It hates you because you're denying it!" she calls out, bracing against the floor and trying to break the magic.

Some part of her realised that none of their words were going to work. If they could, they wouldn't have manifested as shadows.

"Somepony give me a hoof with George!"

Zeela splashed a potion at Tilt giving her the power to she needed.


(OOC: Spending magic point to boost that roll +10)

George is pulled from the Shadow's telekinetic grasp, and it floats more knives up. "Heh. Fine then. I'll reveal it."
"Don't you da-"
"I do drugs to get my magic. I am about as magical naturally as an Earth pony."

"I've got natural magic....." Brash comments, mostly to himself.

Drugs...? They had drugs that did that...? Melody paused for a moment, looking between the Shadow, Star, and the knives..."Who -cares- about something like that? You're more than just what this thing is showing...Come on, Star, you're smarter'n that, right? Don't let it goad you...!" She really hoped she could get through, but she was more intent on keeping those knives on the ground...It was probably doomed to failure, but she had to try...!

"Whoa!" exclaims Tilt, the sudden surge of energy sending her tumbling backwards, griffon in tow. "I don't know what that was, Zeela, but it worked!"

She sets down George, and rolls back onto her legs again. "But I think I'm glad I don't have a race for the next few weeks. That would show up on the tests for sure. Still in one piece, George?"

After making sure she hadn't snapped the griffon in half, she takes up a spot beside Melody and focusses on adding her strength and pushing in the same direction as the other unicorn. "I'm not very good at this, but a horn's a horn, right? I'll follow your lead, we can do this."
