Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Er, what? I thought that's what Midas, Steel, and Sunlit just tried to do.

You've gotten two different answers. Well, technically, but Steel's was a continuation of Midas'.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Well I don't wish to move because of a feeling that there is a puzzle in the room itself to try and figure out... Which I worry us missing out on if we leave so soon. (even if leaving is needed to unlock things) Also I don't got a 12 endurance... It's a 6...sunbeam wrote:I literally rolled 1d5 for that. For once, I'm not playing a character that will get bored and spearhead the charge down the corridor, so don't expect me to be pushing the setting along like I do in other games.
...Y'know, you'd think the character with 12 endurance would be more inclined to stroll down a dangerous corridor than the baby dragon with 5 endurance. Oh well.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Just want to say, I agree with Xel. There has to be something in the room; five doors, leading off from a statue of Twilight (?). Yeah... I think we need to poke around a bit more.

Almost missed this... Well.
She had to wait until she was 'old enough' to leave home, which in pony terms probably means mid teens. Then she's been travelling around for a bit.
Which means... probably in her late teen, or very early twenties. 19-21 years, probably.
She skews as being a lot younger than I imagined her being to be honest. Thought it would have been in the twenties instead.

If Compass want to see if she recognizes the tiara, that's going to be a History check

Skitter is about the same as Midas. She's a big girl though, so she looks a little older.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Just passing through, quick history roll:
History [15] + d20 [17] = 32
History [15] + d20 [17] = 32

That is a good roll. Had to edit my earlier post to accommodate it.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
In case you didn't know... "Taking 20" is a term to basically forgo a skill check to automatically get a result of what a 20 would be for me. (not a nat-20 mind you... Just what the total of 20+skill would be... Which for me and perception would be a 40 total.) At the cost of taking longer to pull off than a normal skill check would do to preform. Cause I figure we've got some time in this puzzleroom for a while. And just feels like we might still be missing some info to figure this out... If we don't already have all of the info. (besides only Rose knows of that info given the last post so far, she's not shared it with the group yet, and whatnot)

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Ouch, that sometimes has happened to me in the past... No clue what it's cause is. But eventually it should go away.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Uh...right.
Would I need to wipe my computer or anything? I've been clearing my history, but... It keep redirecting me to other websites and opening the App Store. And I'm very security conscious.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Like I said I've got no clue what causes it... Eventually it just fixes itself is what I've found.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Right.
Uh... In that case, I guess I'll sign off and come back later. Hard to do a proper post when it gets wiped away to advertise Zyanya poker.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Ok... Now that sounds like possible adware or malware at work. That is worrysome. I thought the forum was just cutting out access to yea. Which is what has happened to me. But if you seem to begging more then that there is likely something more major at work here.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Okay...IT seems like things have stabilised. I'm asking this on various forums etc, but... I'm using an iPad, and assumed they were immune to internet nasties. Any advice on making sure I'm clean?I'm battling OCD, and Internet security is...kind if a big trigger for me.
Sorry for the disruption to your scheduled pony show.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Sorry I wouldn't know how to do that... I'd suggest running whatever anti-virus software you own and see if it finds anything. If it can't, and everything seems fine. Then you'll hopefully be fine. If not, the software should be able to find whatever it be and fix it.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Thanks. Most of what I've seen has said iDevices are largely immune to such troubles, but... OCD. Not logical.
What is logical is the maybe-puzzle room. I take it we can discuss that here, out of character?

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Yes... I for one wont be shocked if we gotta do something with the five indents and our elements... But still that details isn't something everyone knows of yet in character I point out.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Yeah, sorry, Compass has been a bit... absorbed in it. She's not used to sharing Wonders with anyone, so... her first reaction was to go into her own world.
Then, considering who it is, she's so excited she doesn't realise the others probably don't know who Twilight Sparkle is. She's kind if a big deal in the realm of magic.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Didn't say it was a bad thing, it's fine if that's what your character would keep to theirself... Just mostly stressing it cause I hate when OOC info get's used IC when there was no logical reason for it to be known IC. If anything hopefully my character's taking 20 will be able to notice it, and maybe more... To inform the party to help pool ideas. Cause while it's clear to me. My character would've figure it out so quickly to try using the elements... Or even if he does figure it out that way... He'd be a little wearry of doing it until after he finds out for sure it's not a trap. Or a set-up for a gag... Which basically is the same as a trap in his mind.
