Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Feeling a bit awkward. In situations like this, should I wait fir absolutely everybody to post? I don't want to leave anyone out, or keep the group waiting. And I really don't want to seem impatient or pushy, do I guess I should ask you guys.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Too inexperienced to give valuable info, but here's my two cents.
I admit, I'm impatient to see what happens next. I could even argue that the majority of the team has already posted, and Skitter has a low athletics anyway so it won't make a difference. Maybe that's true...
But it's not fun either. I've kind of been involved in posting a lot these last few pages. I'm patient to push the story on and see what happens next, but other players shouldn't be penalised for my flaw.
So... I'd say wait. A least a little while.
By the way, should I edit some text into my last post? 'Twas just the roll...

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
No downside to waiting at this point in time I'd argue. But we got like 5 of us having already posted stuff. So we could skip the final man's postage of trying something (be it the basic athletics roll or something like I did and trying to pull off something else to aid everyone) But then again as Cav pointed out Skitter posting some more could be good for moral or something like that.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
-Cavalry Yeah, I would like it if you added a line or two about what Compass is trying to do, I would appreciate it

You seem irked. Are you irked? You seem it.
(And I'll not post unless I need to; speed of the magpony and all)
(And damnit, you had to say Frak didn't you? Now I want Battlestar: Equestria)

You can try to follow them underground if you want, I guess Xel, but the path ahead eventually forks again, so it'd be pretty hard.

I say we grill the last one standing for information.
And then grill it.
I bet magponies taste like chickenponies.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
First off, how wide and how tall is the corridor?
Second off, can I sort of reverse Scent tracker to follow the element, instead of using the element to follow Midas?
Even if I can't, I have Nightwatch so I'm definitely going to give chase. I just want to know what I actually have to work with before I post.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Not very big, considering the size of its inhabitants. High enough that Steel isn't hitting his head on the ceiling, but not much higher. It's not quite so narrow that they have two walk single file, but more than three in a row is pushing it.
it's probably easier to just track the creatures themselves, especially since the Element isn't touching the ground or anything.

Works for me. I probably won't need scent tracker, honestly, unless I lose sight of him.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Given that I'm underneath where peoples are walking, and I got insane perseption skills... I think i can just skill check my way to following the sounds of their feets running away to follow them with my tunneling... Also said tunneling should be giving an easy trail for the rest to follow. Totally thinking maybe popping laughter would be a good idea... Giving everyone that +2 bonus could be useful at this point.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
You'd have to do it before you leave, since it only works on people you see, but that all sounds reasonable. Go nuts.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
WAit... What's going on with Midas? Cause don't we got the element already taken away and it's thief already some ways away from us? I'm just shocked at seeing what seems to be a 19 having just gotten to him and punched the theft.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
It's not the thief he punched.. It's one of the ones that swarmed him.

As an aside; I really liked that moment, and I'm really liking Midas.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
I feel the same Cav... Was really great and loving this party all the more... Just confused me is all.
Only two peoples I can think of not liking a lot already is Skitterbuzz (for her quick to distrust anyone who lies, from a cerent point of view jokes can be lies, that you just learn the truth of afterwards) and Steel (he's becuase I've not seen him act much so far to really get much a feel for him)

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
I am saddened that I pop laughter... And nobody does the skill checks other than me...

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
True... True... Just hey... I thought EVERYONE was going to go skill checks heavy... Only for only one check neede then RPing it out. Feels like I might've wasted my Laughter Use at this point if nobody other than me uses it. Even if I've had it used for four checks at this point.
Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
You worry too much. The fact that we haven't needed to make skill checks is probably a good thing.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
It's not about how good things are going... But more the feeling that I might've used my element too soon. I mean... If we like get hit with any magical mind-alturing junk before we get an extended rest, some plot-based magic point recharger, or some other plot-magic full refresher thingie. I'm really going to feel like I wasted my element here. Hell yes it's a good thing we don't need to make skill checks. But there are only two major reasons to pop laughter in the new system version: 1) Mind-Alt attack or countering.... 2) The party needs is about to do a lot of skill checks and could use that +2 bonus... Which at this point I starting to fear/feel like we didn't need it is all. And there is nothing worse then feeling like you wasted a power... Especially a magic point level power. Lastly this is like the second time ever I've used the new laughter... So as somebody who's loved the old chatoic rod of wonder laughter, don't wanta start feeling like I've misusing the new version. >.>

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
It's the free use you got from having your element on your person. You can still use it again.

Re: Discordian Promise (OOC)
Wait, what? We've all got an elemental spellchild becuase of having the element of harmony? I didn't think that was something this game was doing nor a mechanic that was a thing given by GM plot-powers. Thought that spellchild being used was what the character already had to use.
