Cold's just kinda broken... This was the worst possible thing, ever. All he kept doing was just pounding on the gate saying "no" over and over again. Splitting the party was ALWAYS a bad omen... Even if it didn't spell death, it was always bad. The team was now at half power in both groups. Anything either side faced was when the team wasn't at their theoretical best. Which is ALWAYS bad news in Cold's mind.

Cold was shaken and just turns around. "What?" was all he said. "We're cut off from our allies... Both groups are the team at half power... Also splitting the party ALWAYS is a bad omen I've learned." He was less trying to talk to the Reini, but more justify his actions to himself.

Cold Iron nods in agreement, then punched his emotions mask off, mostly because that's a fun way to remove that mask. Then he shifted to his Logic Mask, cause he needed his emotions to tone down a little at the moment. "Right, right... We are the "Doers" of our team... We can handle this... And they've got our fifth wheel teammate." Cold tells him-er-herself now and gets out a kunai knife to throw into the light & see if it is harmed or not by said harmful light of doom.

The knife clatters into the light. The cloth on the handle turns black and chard but the metal is fine. The knife touched something else in the light.

"This... Is odd..." Cold Iron comments thinking over what the change in the cloth's color could mean, ignoring the fact it didn't hit the light, cause well she wasn't aiming to take out the light, yet. "Mmm..."

With no immediate answer to the problem, nor any immediate threat if she stays out of the light, Heart calms down, backs away, and begins looking around for other ways out, mechanisms that might control the light, big shiny buttons, monsters, stallions behind a curtain, etc.

"Hey, this needs a key!" Heart calls out. "Maybe its a trick, maybe we need to open it with the key to get out!" She was skeptical of herself- she saw the brick wall behind the door, she knew a key made no difference. But it locked itself, so that had to be some kind of answer.

Heart turns around and looks for the key. Seeing it, her horn lights up, and she tries to lift the key with her telekinesis, pulling it over to the door.

"....Oh my gosh, that's- I do!" Heart pulls an old, ornate locket out of her front pocket. She opens it, her horn glowing as she casts a spell, chanting. "Occidere solis, inducet noctem!" The locket glows as well, and suddenly all the light in the room is snuffed out.
Gothic Locket (Light Trap) (3) – 1/Day
Preparation Time: 10 Seconds
Pull all the light within 50 feet of you into a small object you are holding. For the next 1 minute or until the object is destroyed the area affected is completely black. Treat the area as if it was obscured by a cloud of total darkness. You may release the light trapped within the object at any time you are not in combat, either returning the area to normal illumination or releasing the light in a brilliant flash that blinds all creatures seeing it for five seconds.

Cold Iron claps, just for both the Reini's comment & seeing that Heart happened to have such a skill. This filled her with pride knowing that her team's power wasn't truly cut in half, but was skilled enough to deal with whatever trials were before them even in the two groups that they've now become.

As the light dissapears so does the key leaving only the nail that was holding it in place.

In the darkness a hissing noise can be heard coming from your bags. The longer you are in the darkness the louder the hissing gets. You can hear something moving around on the stairs and the bottom floor, but you cannot see what it is.

"QUICK GET THE KEY NOW THE SOONER THE BETTER!" Cold yells, she was deeply worried, but was trusting her allies could solve this without her aid at this point of time. But was getting ready to throw knifes to distract anything that tries to attack the Healer Team.
