Pony's Bizarre Adventure - On Set

It's an early spring afternoon in Tall Tale, with lunch time over and most ponies returning to work. Everypony has their own story in Tall Tale, their own way of doing things, of living their lives. But what I want to know is what is your character currently up to today. Where are you right now, and what are you doing? I ask because, unbeknownst to you, your life is about to get a little bit more bizarre today...
- Market Deals:
- Just a quick rundown on this market mechanic: whenever you have a quiet and unbusy moment in-character, you can pop to the market and trade items you have for items on sale. If you want to go to the market, send me a message, then we'll haggle. Most trades will be one-for-one, but the trader can value certain items more or less than others, asking for more items or a certain one you have. No rolls (unless prompted), just haggling old-school style. Deals change every in-character day, with items having stronger possible effects as you level up.
Protective Scarf (Heat, Storm, and Cold versions available)
Each Protective Scarf is designed to offer protection from different environments.
Effect: Grants an Elemental Resistance depending on the version bought.
Lucky Clover
A Four Leaf Clover. It can't actually be lucky, can it?

Mental Cure-All (One Use)
Whenever you feelin' like your head's about to fall,

In quiet corner of the market place, a diminutive violet earth pony sits on a rug with traditional zebrican patterning, bundles of herbs and assorted berries and fruit surrounding her.
"Herbs... herbs and berries, straight from the woods..." Even though she's probably trying to attract customers, her quiet call doesn't have much of an effect, and noticing this, she sighs. "Huh... I guess I'm just not cut out for this, Mint..."
Still, she shakes her head slightly, tidies up her mane with a touch of voodoo magic, and continues trying (and failing) to attract customers beyond her regulars.
"Herbal remedies for all ailments..."

Splendor hangs out next to the optician's stall. He didn't need an eye check, his eyesight was perfect, but he had nothing else to do and was bored as hell in this town. Barely any excitement, no hangouts, and locals barely even knew who he was so the party scene was practically nonexistant. He sighs, watching the other ponies in the market, hoping one would come by for an eye exam, to provide him something to just watch while he waits.
Watch, not do, because it was his friend- the same friend who dragged him all the way from Canterlot- who was performing the checks. Splendor didn't bother asking why he was doing so, it was pretty obvious, considering his fancy magic glasses.

Shrinking Violet jumps slightly before recognizing the old stallion's voice.

"Oh, uhm, will you be taking your usual bundle now...?" Rooting around the small piles around her, Violet pulls out a packet of tea leaves and nudges it towards the earth pony.

Violet briefly considers using her voodoo to catch the coins, or even more temptingly, have Mint catch them. But in the end she just lets the coins drop, before offering, "I've got them..." and scooping them up with a hoof, taking the correct pay and hoofing the rest back to the old stallion, saying, "Bits are, uhm, fiddly, aren't they?"

We could even ignore the alleyways, and just start approaching ponies on the street. I'm sure more than a handful of these curious backwaters would let you do it, no questions asked." Splendor stands and stretches. "It's about lunchtime anyway, isn't it? Can your magic eyes spot something that resembles food from here?"

"Excuse me sir," he begins, "But do you know how common vision lose is in elderly ponies? I do not wish to scare you with the figures, but I am operating free eye exams today, should you want a check up." He levitates another pair of glasses, similar brand to the one he wears, to the old pony. "Just put these glasses on, and see if that helps, and we can go from there."
The old pony sheepishly taps the floating glasses, inspecting it with half focused eyes. "I don't know, I like to think I've got good eyesight," muses the pony, "And I'm not sure about your glasses, they seem weird..."
"Weird? Just your imagination, I assure you." The unicorn levitates the glasses to you. "You don't think these glasses are weird, do you?"

You can feel the emotions of creatures around you, even when they show no physical signs of their true feelings. Make a perception check with a +5 bonus to sense the emotional state of a target creature you can see.

The pony is indeed up to something. His friendly demeanor is but a front for a more cold and calculating personality. He has feelings of confidence and superiority in himself. While you can sense that he is trying to trick the old pony in some way, you don't feel any sort of anger, wrath, or malice from him...AleneShazam wrote:"Uhm... I, uhm, I think they're, uhm..." As you put the glasses on, the first thing you notice is how surprisingly comfortable they are. It's a really good brand. The second thing you notice is the pair of pink goat eyes on the lenses staring back at you...AleneShazam wrote:"Uhm..." Unbidden (well, somewhat bidden, Violet was caught off guard) a golden hoof wrapped in vines emerges out of nowhere to swat the offending glasses off her muzzle, accompanied by a strong feminine "–HA!"
