For those several small pockets of metal, is there any way to tell if there's a load-bearing one? For the large piece of metal, is it roughly 200 lbs or less?

Well you're supposed to experiment with this, but no, the metal pieces are small and seem to be embedded in the rock, kind of like shrapnel. The stone at the middle is less than 200 lbs though.

The reason I asked was because the talent is 1x day. Didn't want to blow my chance with this by trying to lift something that was too heavy. But this pretty much answers my question. I was originally going to go with the large piece.

No, 6 is my base Heal skill. A Nat 1 would make it 7. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

You don't have to worry about healing just yet.

EDIT: Let's do a bit more dialogue with Koli, and then we'll see what happens with Storm.

I know I chastise about talking as if the NPC isn't there...

...Emerald acknowledges that it is there, but her unicorn superiority complex is really starting to bristle with the wild goose chase. So yeah, that might have started combat, sorry. Any other situation and she'd probably try to smooze the owlicorn into teaching her the mental net spell.

EDIT: Or, you know, hire it. Off chance, it might work.

Whatever force that was keeping Storm out was also keeping the sphere in. Pulling it outwards, it makes contact with the "wall" of the barrier. One more solid pull through, and the shockwave can be heard around for miles. A bolt of lightning arcs between the barrier, the sphere, and Storm- and sends him flying backwards into the river.
(Ok, you need to roll 3 checks. 1st, Endurance, for obvious reasons. 2nd, Athletics or Acrobatics with a -5 penalty, in case you stay conscious, to avoid hitting anything/land in the river/remain airborne and regain control, etc. 3rd another Endurance with in case you do hit something/land in the river/etc.)

Just want to point out, that before Storm started this whole thing, he hid behind a boulder. He should be pretty well shielded from the blast. Also, he attempted to put the sphere in saddlebags before he went airborne, which is likely at the point where the blast happened.

Storm bounces off the force field, "Tsch. I didn't want to do this the hard way." Storm flies around til he spots a boulder large enough to hide behind, but still in view of arch. "Pony, I haven't done this in a long while. How'd it go again?" Closing his eyes to concentrate, he senses the ambient magnetic fields and plucks at them, like he was playing the harp, hoping there's enough metallic content in the arch to shake it apart.

You guys need to start rolling persuasion for this stuff. Or attempt other things. For example, there might be something a certain unconscious nearby unicorn might be able to contribute. Hint Hint.
