Changeling Investigations

Ember, not used to this high amount of energy, shies away from the bouncing pink pony.

Ragdoll waves awkwardly, having been put off balance by this pink one.
"uhhh...Hi. We got a changeling we need help with. You are a member of C.R.E.W right?"

Handle watched the pink pony for a moment. "I feel like I know you from somewhere."

Flashpoint tracks Ruby as she corrects her course. "...They'll be fine. The thing looked to be in abject terror when it left, I don't think it'll embolden itself enough to cause trouble. And if it does, I'm pretty sure at least one of them will be able to deal with it.... the one with the hammer, maybe." After a moment, still watching her, he continues. "You should get rid of those. Accoutrements like that only hinder performance. They're loud and clumsy, and you'd look much better without them gaudying up your wings."

((I apologize for my absence... christmas always gets the family busy. Busy busy busy... Yeeeeah I'm probably not going to be able to post again till January.))

"Yes I am a member of CREW! In fact I'm a personal friend of the founders and I was actually at their wedding when the changelings first attacked which was really exciting by the way not that I blame them for obeying their queen but it was really very random and I know random because it's practically the very reason I'm alive but that's not what we need to talk about now I just need you to fill out these papers which tell me what the Changeling did okay?"

The two pegasi land at Carousel Boutique... and they hear a shouting match from within.

"...nearly ruined the entire patrol! Those rookies need to learn to work as a group!"

"Rainbow, they were working as a group. Divide and conquer is a normal tactic, and they weren't aware of your own actions."

"TOWN HALL NEARLY BURNED DOWN!"

"But that isn't their fault!"

"Suspected Kidnapping conspiracy... I think that's the right term?" Chain Link said. with a shrug. "All I'm sure of is that there's a child missing, the changeling knows something, but doesn't wish to talk or help us."

(Why can't I ever find the movie clip I need to make an awesome reference? Top Gun. Rainbow Dash wants some butts.)

"Well, this might go a little better than I thought, long as she's arguing for us." Flashpoint walks up to the door and knocks, and then stands to one side in case of rainbow-hued hurricane.

"Y-yeah... It's just... Scared of everything..."

Ruby nodded at the suggestion to her wings, but didn't reply. They weren't for decoration to her. Listing a bit in slow flight was a small price to pay for being able to wear impromptu chainmail without arousing the suspicion of crowds, and it wouldn't even be noticed if she put them back right.

Or so she rationalized. She'd be the first to admit they looked great alongside her coat's colours.

As they approached the tower and heard the argument inside, Ruby flinched. The self-important vainglorious one was there, and arguing with their boss, about them she had to assume. But they did nothing around the Town Hall, at least nothing flammable... She gives Flashpoint a look, but he's already at the door, knocking. The red pegasus hides her nerves... They were there for a brief report-in about two of the mission points and also an instruction manual. That's it. Her wings flare in fight-or-flight response, and are manually forced back down.
