Tatters of Harmony

Fraternity takes a look at the map during the confusion, before deciding what to say and do next.

DC 25 Arcana:
The six points of the map seem to be equidistant from Ponyville, and in an almost starlike pattern- Snowpony's lines between the points adding to it- creating one of the largest arcane symbols known to ponykind. This symbol often creates strong magical resonance with the points of the star, and the center.
DC 25 History:
The five of the 6 symbols seem to be the ones known as the Elements of Harmony, Kindness at the top left, and going counter clockwise from there, Loyalty, Honesty, Laughter, Generostity, and some mystery symbol.
The places though are all long forsaken places if the names are any indication. Temples, Tombs, etc.

Fraternity takes a long look at the points of the map, before asking the mystery unicorn in an unusually serious tone, "So I take it there's a connection between the White Sun and this magical symbol outlined by the points on the map?"

Snowpony nods quietly. "Yes, it's why they chose Ponyville as their base. The six points hold magical artifacts that, simply put, would empower the magic the use to either control ponies, or put them into a sort of stasis."

Blaze looks up from the map with an raised eyebrow.
"so you're telling us that somepony is using the elements of harmony to enslave ponies... how?"
"and whats the last symbol?"
Blaze points to the sixth mystery symbol.

"I don't know what the sixth is myself, and they are using the elements to bring about a twisted version of "Harmony" to the land."

"Stasis sounds rather ominous. What's it mean, precisely?"
Tumble peered at the map again, ignoring most of the words this time. It was rather inevitable that he was going on this journey, and he had been planning on leaving town soon anyways. For personal matters. So he tried to judge how far away the different points were from ponyville. They formed a rough circle if you connected them, but the map wasn't well marked aside from them, so it was difficult to ascern actual distances.

((Streetwise: 1+9=10. Derp. and Derp activated.))

"Precisely what I said. Being still, unmoving unchanging."

City frowns to herself. "Using this town as a base... These star points form... Almost a nexus of power, concentrated on Ponyville." She turns to Snowpony. "If these artifacts have that power, the... This group you mentioned won't take our pursuing them lying down, I imagine. Do you have a suggested order in which we go after these artifacts, as such?"

"Order wise, I'd try not to go in a pattern. If you go towards kindness, don't go around clockwise or counterclockwise, it would bring attention." Snowpony grabs the map, with his magic and makes a couple marks, showing that each point was about 300 miles from Ponyville in each direction.

Tumble blinked.
"What does going towards Kindness do to provoke them?"

"It'd more than likely be the cycle. They expect reason and harmony, and don't really connect the dots of disorder."

""Ah. Makes sense."

"so what excactly will you have us do? How will we stop this... ritual from taking place?"
I looked at the map trying to recall what I could about the location that marked kindness

but I simply hadn't heard of it much to my frustration.
"if they truly are utilizing the powers of harmony, would it not be possible for us to harness this power against them? these cultists do not appear the.. kindest of ponies, could we not use their rituals against them with true kindness?"

as I spoke I suddenly questoined my own idea, it seemed ludicrious. magic and especially kindness could not be harnessed in such a weaponized form... more plans began going through my mind the one more improbable and stupid than the last, it seemed I really have had a more trying day than I thought...

I turned to snowpony and let him know with a gaze that I put my trust in him, which was rare "do you have a plan for how we could do this?"

Sun can gleam... Quite literally nothing from the symbols, or anything that is said related to them.

Snowpony looks at the map and makes a six pointed star shape with a small quill. Top, to bottom right, to bottom left. Bottom, to top right, to top left. "The best line of attack. Start in a point even I don't know for your own sakes. I'll do my best to find some artifacts to help you guys if you return here at any point, though I may or may not appear different with each time. I'm currently... well." He taps his horn and a few flakes fall off. "Returning to my race. Now, at the moment, the only things I have are a small number of books involving the areas you're going to, none of which really include the areas with the artifacts. I only know the general area."

Blaze stands there a little dreaming about adventures to come when he notice that the other ponies has stopped talking.
He turns to the others "So are we just gonna stand here until we get old, or are we going on an adventure!?"
"To the mystery symbol!" he yells as he points in the direction he thinks it is.
