Slice of Night

"Sure, ah'll come with. Got nothin' much ta do today anyhow. Aside from.... well, I can work on that as we go I 'spose." Cloudcast replies.

"Awesome! I'll walk with you back to town. Gotta go home anyway and get Quilted. Duties of a mom and such." Heartfelt starts toward Luna's Retreat.
"So Eclair, what brings you to our little corner of the world?"

Eclair nods and flies out the door, doing a few little loops as she stretches her wings out before fluttering up beside Heartfelt. "The same thing that has brought me to all the others mon amie! Mon coeur beats with a passion to see the world! To explore and see what lies beyond the horizon! See new things and meet new faces! So that one day when I am too old to fly, I will have many wonderful memories to look back on!"

Cloudcast follows the others out and locks the door behind her (Eclair already has a key). She hops onto Rei, who is already carrying the box from Heartfelt. After they are a bit away from the house, she takes something out of her saddle bags. It looks like a roughly spherical thing covered in mist and fog. There are some angular shapes that can be somewhat made out underneath the shroud but, nothing that gives a clear picture of what it truly looks like inside.

Cloudcast notices that it's a bit windy out and says to herself, "Well... that just won't do now will it?" and she gathers up all the wind near her in her hoofs and sort of grabs it until it stops moving and then shoves it around and shapes it into a bubble around herself.

Weather-craft:

Satisfied she won't have any interference with her smithing, she then opens up the box, which is revealed to contain quite a lot of dry ice and begins smashing it until it is just a cloud of gas. She then shoves the gas, into the spherical cloudforge and lassos down some clouds from the sky and keeps those on hoof for later. Then she puts her hooves into the cloudforge and begins to forge the dry ice gas into a spearhead, the regular clouds on standby for the shaft.

Cloudforging:

"Prepare! Fillies and foals! For the show of your lives! Today i will be performing feats of magical prowess the likes of which you've never seen! Giving you just a peek into the realm of infinite possibilities! Magic!" The pegasus said, pulling out a small cane and spinning it, Walking around the stage and leaning on a pillar near a mannequin wearing the same set of clothes he is.

Roll:

Lyre played a quicker, energetic tune. Trying to get the crowd excited for Stagewing's next trick while still having them take notice of and enjoy his own music.

Yeah, they are getting PUMPED.

Heartfelt attempts to walk along quietly, but ends up very nearly tripping on her own hooves several times. An occasional glance at her crafting friend was the extent of her interactions; she had learned not to disturb Cece while she's 'in the zone.' She makes sure to wave at the construction workers as they pass on the path back.
When they near her house and store, she gives Eclair a large smile and a silent wave, before stepping quickly through the wind bubble, the difference in air flow tossling her mane every which way and refusing to leave it in anything close to a manageable state.
She takes a minute to resettle her mane, before quietly unlocking the storefront and entering her abode.

Stealth check:

As Cloudcast works on her spear, she works with the artisan hands of a true master. Magic seems to surround her hooves as she works, being channeled into the spear, bit by bit by bit.

As Stagewing moves, the mannequin springs to life as htough on strings, though stil very rigid and platic-y.

As Lyre plays, an upbeat aura seems to fill the air, his claws flying over the strings. The atmosphere crackles with energy, and the crowd seems to stand a bit taller with excitement. The mannequin begins to move with a new-found fluidity, then begins to move, moving into an upbeat tap dance.

As Heartfelt opens the door, she looks up to see a curious Quilted yawning and rubbing her eyes. She asks sleepily, "Heartfelt? what are you... doing up so early? And did you just come inside?

Lyre continues to play, shutting everything out except for his music and the sound of the crowd. This was his element, this was were he was truly happy. He closed his eyes, a smirk on his face. This is why he decided to be a musician.

Stagewing smirked with a fake knowing look, like he expected this to happen meanwhile trying to regain control of the mannequin using his magic.

A smile grows on Heartfelt's face. "Good morning sweetheart."
She sets her saddlebags down behind the counter and walks over to Quilted, speaking softly as she goes. "You know Ms Cloudcast? She'd asked me to find a special component for her work, and the places that sell it only open this early. I was hoping to slip back in and start breakfast before you woke up."
She lowers her head and nuzzles the filly. "You sleep okay?"

As Stagewing attempts to re-exert control, he makes it look as if he is fighting the mannequin with dance! Unfortunately, he loses and stumbles backwards, slightly dizzy. The crowd roars ever louder, loving the spectacle of it all.

Quilted giggles and says, "I slept okay. What special component?" She asks with a tilt of her head.

"It's called 'dry ice.' It's like normal ice...but dry...I guess?" Heartfelt shrugs and scrunches her face briefly. "I don't really know, but apparently it's difficult to find. Not too difficult for me though!"
She smiles and winks, before starting for the upper room. "What would you like for breakfast? A little jam and toast to start off the day?"

Quilted smiles and nods, sitting down at the table.

Heartfelt goes into the kitchen and makes some toast for Quilted and herself, taking advantage of the wait time by fixing a small packed lunch for Quilted as well. Flower sandwich, juice box, raisin cookie. Nothing too fancy.
As she walks back down with the toast. jam, and bagged lunch, she says, "You got your bag packed? All ready for going back today?"

Roll?:

"Okay thats it." The magician mumbled to himself. He then tried to launch the dummy into the air using basicly a magical spring, then make it explode like a firework.

Rolls:

Quilted's smile fades a bit and she says, "Uh, yeah, definitely!" She grabs her bag and lunchbox, and quickly walks towards the door with you.

As Stagewing gestures, the mannequin springs into the air, looking a bit like a pony trying to imitate a rabbit. It then swells and bursts with a beautiful display of magical power, small, crackly fireworks going everywhere. The crowd oohs and ahhs, clearly loving this show.

"Hey hey." Heartfelt puts a hoof on Quilted's shoulder, stopping her briefly. Worriedly looking the filly in the face, she says "That doesn't sound very excited. What's up?"

Quilted turns and says, "It's just...nothing, I'm fine." She smiles, but Heartfelt can see something strange in her eyes, and she isn't sure what.

Heartfelt tilts her head, and gently turns the filly's face back to hers. "Hun...it's clearly worrying you. Just be honest and tell me what's going on."

Rolls and junk:

Quilted shakes her head and says, "Honestly. I'm fine. Can we go now?" She turns back towards the door, and Heartfelt can tell she doesn't want to talk.

Heartfelt pulls her into a hug and says "...okay. I believe you." She holds the filly for a moment, before planting a kiss on her forehead and letting go to open the door for her. "But if something does bother you...let me know...okay?"

Quilted smiles and nods, and walks out the door with you.
Time Skip...
As you pass by the construction workers, Quilted gets a wide smile on her face, running into a crowd of them.

Heartfelt quickly trots after her. Not so fast that she's plowing ponies aside like a bulldozing mama bear, but with a definite sense of urgency.

Roll:

As Heartfelt pushes through, she notices Quilted talking and giggling to a construction worker, who you notice is a mare.
