The creature started to move as the multitude of gears creaked and groaned. As the summon ineffectually bounced off Grease's familiar, an explosion of shrapnel struck those around the Professor. After spitting a more concentrated fireball at the Professor, the dragon suddenly took to the sky! The shifting mechanical body dropped Stout Spirit and Turquoise Tree down into a compartment within.

"Blown Junction!" Grease cursed as his bow tie started to sputter and smoke. He tugged at it and the smoking stopped, but the bow tie was no longer lit up and humming. "Do you have any idea what it takes to fix this?! Stupid box of bolts!" He shouts, hurling another set of lightning claws at the Dragon. "Stupid, incredible, box of bolts." He amends quietly as it took off into the sky.

Stout and Tree fall down with a heavy thud. They groan a d get up. Stout' s face lights up as he sees his friend.

"Oh thanks the spirts you're all right!" Stout joyfully exclaims.

"So you're thanking me for me being ok?" Tree responds.

Stout groans as he looks around their new enviorment.

As they wandered within the gargantuan gear-filled gizzard, Stout Spirit and Turquoise Tree came to a room where the rhythmic groan of machinery sounded almost like breathing. Aligning the walls was an array of jewels pulsating with a mystical blue light that glowed with each "breath".

Stout sits down, and chants a summon softly, calling the spirits from beyond to help him, turquoise making an attempt on his own as well.

Through great meditation, Stout Spirit was able to discern that the gems acted as the power source for the machine. Set to feed into each other, the more that were functioning at a time produced magic at a multiplicative rate. Separating them from each other could serve to weaken the mechanical beast.

As Hector swooped down, the air felt like the consistency of water. Attempting to grab ahold of Dusty was about as easy as a one hooved pony trying to wrestle a greased pig. His tongue could hear a muffled laughter jeering at the attempt though it seemed his body was starting to adjust to the oddity of the area.

Professor Field takes a step back from the fray of the battle pulling out the script of a play. After reading through a scene he is re-energized but left weakened just from handling the play.

Stout Spirit looks at Turquise Tree. "It seems to be power source."

"Really?"

"Yes really." Stout Spirit then walks towards one of them. "And I believe that if we were to, say, remove them, whatever they are powering should depower."

Turquoise Tree gives a long hard stare at his best friend.

"Yes, I do realize that you can't actually touch them. I had every intention of removing them myself."

"Be careful old timer."

Stout Spirit laughs at his friend's statement and calmly approaches one of the gems. He then attempts to grab one with his hooves and tries to remove it, while Tree attempts to use his telekinesis to lift another.

The laughter in the air contorted to a shriek as several ponies ran into the room carrying books with radiant silver bindings. Before the books could be opened, the letters disappeared and area quickly returned to normal. Dusty stumbled as she tried to regain her balance. "G-get to the other generator and restart it. It's the next room over. Afterwards, check topside and see if the fireflies are still in the outdoor lamps."

Generator OOC #2:

As Stout Spirit struggled to remove the gems, a blinding blue light started to strobe within the chamber. It then abruptly stopped...

Stout gasps as the light intenifies then fades. He continued to lift the gem despite of the light, as did Tree, though Tree struggles a bit.

"Still going strong huh?" Gearick remarked as the clockwork dragon began to take flight, shaking his head to clear the fog of tiredness, he reared up on his hooves. His glowing purple for a third time as a white rune was drawn in front of him. "Tutori rei lux, Te peto ad colligunt usque tuus ensis et vestram servetis iusiurandum ut mihi." The unicorn chanted before his spell was complete, summoning the warrior of light from the rune, his glowing sword already out as he spoke in return. "Per meum ensis et per juramentum meum, Ego percutiet eos qui resistunt tibi."

As Gearick dropped to his hooves, the giant of flames focused his power, changing his sweeping attacks into a lance of white hot fire that cut straight into the dragon's belly, and causing a surge of magic to flow through the brown unicorn. As the magic jumped, out of his horn Gearick winced. The magic was so powerful it caused a backlash against him, and through it surged over the clockwork constructs, it also slammed into him, causing him great pain... but, Gearick took control of the magic even as it hurt him and redirected it out of his horn for another, almighty blast of magic that slammed into the dragon.

If that was not enough, the spectral swordsman struck, his sword not doing much damage, but the second strike cracked open the dragon's armour, allowing the warrior of light to hit harder with his own attack, as Gearick staggered back onto his feet and grinned tiredly, saying. "Blow after blow rain down open my enemies, no matter how many they may be, nor how strong they think they are, none can stand against my army."

Hector collapsed on the floor as the spells faded. He had failed. He felt uncommonly foolish... His mother's voice echoed in his mind. This wasn't the griffon way! Nor was it the pony's! He had to carry on. Hearing Dusty's instructions, he leaped up without wasting a moment. HE managed to find the same hatch as had been present in the other; sliding in, he once again started beating his wings to create the necessary wind storm...

As the second machine came back online, the building once again regained a subtle hum of activity. Following Dusty's other instruction, Hector quickly made his way outside after following the signs to the emergency exit. While the fireflies seemed fine, outside city limits there seemed to be...something...massive in the sky.

The dragon faltered a bit but kept flying higher. From the broken pieces of the summon glowed a blue light. Among the various gears sprung a mechanical deer that took a stance in front of the STOMP team. The Clockwork Dragon glared at Grease in an ethereal malevolence that made the air stand still. It then suddenly launched another dark fireball at the Professor.

Grease shivers, and trips, collapsing to the ground as the sparks in his eyes and scales fade, returning to their usual gray-blue color. He shakes his head and the lightning spreads back over his scales rapidly as he turns to the fire Djinn. "Welcome back, welcome back." He says, grinning as he launches a 5-pointed star of sparks at the giant. The star flies through the air, lands on the giant's back and spreads throughout his body.

Hector waffled briefly. On one claw, he had no idea what he was staring at, and he was certain it could smack him right out of the sky. On the other claw, he had no doubt the STOMP team was there; what if they needed his help?

But then, what if Dusty needed his help?

Dusty wouldn't need his help. Capable hooves would be taking care of her right now. Electricity rolled off his wings as he sailed into the sky.

Hippogriffs have a peculiar sort of magic, inborn with their naturally occurring electric shocks. By flying fast enough in a straight line, and letting off an enormous surge, Hector felt the air pressing in against him.

But only briefly.

At that moment, he felt a sort of "pop"; and then he was catapulted into unbelievable speeds! A loud BOOM echoed out across the area as he broke the sound barrier, several sound barriers! He speed towards his target in a blinding flash of lightning fit for the God of Thunder!

It was a very momentary sensation; he was there before he knew it, practically.

Fields is blown back by the fire ball but he retaliates immediately casting out two rings that bind themselves around the dragon and sending out a buffet of shearing wind at the new deer.

As Stout Spirit continued trying to remove the crystals, their color started to waver and shimmer. Then, they changed from blue to purple as another roar echoed across the sky. From that, he noticed something glimmering in the corner. It was unrecognizable and lodged between gears yet it felt oddly familiar.

The fire giant shivered as the power of the star flowed through it, turning to give Grease a nod of thanks for the boost. The spectral swordsman muttered something under his breath at this, causing Gearick to roll his eyes. "Hush you, Mr flamey is more powerful than you and you know it, so of course he gets the buffs." Said swordsman only replied with a huff of annoyance, causing Gearick to shake his head in amusement, before closing his eyes.

"Sanatore trans gravi canderent peto iterum auxilii tui." He intoned, his voice flat and hollow, a purple glow coming from behind his eyelids as he worked his magic once more. Just like last time he closed his eyes, a spectral figure emerged into existence nearby. Unlike before, this one did not wield a sword, but instead a shield. "Omnia in faciam fortitudinem meam, et de manu fortium, aliis mortem tueri." It replied, as the rest of Gearick's conjurations struck out.

The fire giant's sword once again swept out across the battlefield, engulfing both the dragon and its minion in flames, while the two sword wielders, recognizing how the minion was protecting its master, struck out at it with blows of their own. The warrior of light's blow was strong, and unleashed a burst of magic from Gearick's horned that washed over both the minion and its master, further damaging them. Finally, the warden stepped over to the Professor, placing a hand 'on' him. Field would feel his strength returning as the warden worked its magic.

The glimmer catches Stout's eye.

"Tree, i think i found something!"

Tree hears his friends and trots over "What is it friend?"

"Look over there."

Tree looks at where Stout nods to and sees the object. "I have no idea what that is Stout."

"Neither do I but it feels familiar somehow."

A few moments of silence pass. "You're going to want me to hover it out don't you?"

"I humbly request that, but not right now."

"Sure thing friend." Tree smiles. "Though....what if something happens to us? I think it would be wise if we alerted the rest of our team about our predicament, or at least let them know we are ok.'

Stouts nod was all Tree needed. He widened his stance, focused on the other members of STOMP, and shouted as loud as he could, to let his teammates know that Stout and Tree are fine (at the moment)!

"The deed is done friend."

"Good! Now lets get this gem out!"

Stout Spirit roared as he attempted to remove the gem.

Pulling out the object, Stout Spirit saw that it was an ornate silver rod with notches on both ends. Despite the pristine condition, there was something undeniably ancient about it. It seemed like it was part of something else but there were no indication to what the whole was supposed to be. However, it seemed that the style of engraving was similar to objects made by his tribe.

Hector's sudden intervention threw the clockwork dragon off balance, causing its fireball attack to miss. However, the Professor could a tingle in the spot he was healed as the fireball whirled past. Likewise, the Fire Giant could feel a similar sensation as it regenerated its wounds. Two more dragon summons appeared from the creature's mechanical hide that proceeded to shove the Fire Giant and Gearick closer to Professor Fields. Meanwhile, the mechanical deer seemed to falter from the directed damage, only managing to retailiate against the Celestial Avenger.

Grease takes a deep breath, and lightning spreads back throughout his scales. He focuses some sparks into a ball on the end of his tail, which he lobs at Professor Fields. It lands near him and bounces, suddenly taking up an orbital position over the professor's head.

Stout continues to lift the gems out. While the mysterious object was interesting, getting the job done would be the first priority.

"Tree, think you can take a look at that object for me? I'm a bit busy."

"Let me handle the gem, you take a look at this." Tree says. He begins to levitate the gem, using his precice preciion to do so.

Stout meanwhile takes a look at the staff, trying to understand the secrets it holds

Fields flourishes and snaps his fingers so that he is now pointing at the dragon. In an instant the previously dull rings begin glowing white hot and constrict themselves further around the clockwork creature.

Grease suddenly starts to laugh loudly as Stout Spirit's call reaches him. "He's inside it, and he's not crushed? Who builds walking space inside an autonomous automaton?! How much spare time did the designer of this gorgeous monstrosity have for fluffing it up?!"
