Equestrian Radio Show's Adventure Variety Hour: Explorers of STOMP (thread 2)
*static crackle*
Good evening folks! Commercials pay the bills but I hope you're ready for thrills because now it's time for another exciting Saturday night with the Equestrian Radio Show's Adventure Variety Hour!
Last week, the world and a princess was saved by the STOMP team in an impressive show of heroics. However, many questions are left unanswered, emotions left unsteady, and slowly setbacks mounting up. We bring you to our heroes as they, Brisk Iron, and Dusty Winds exit the teleport chamber and return to Caballuston...

- I'll be getting Sobana setup eventually since the character is not immediately part of the group. Some of you may have IC questions for Brisk Iron and I remember Grease being sleep during the time the rest of the group was cleaning up the base wreckage.

Hector made a point of not looking towards Dusty Winds.
Not because he didn't want to see her - quite the opposite in fact - but he didn't quite comprehend the feelings brewing inside him, and some gut feeling told him a certain decorum might be prudent.
Having returned to Caballuston, he turned back to a subject that had been bothering him for a while now.
"Brisk Iron, can we please look into the intruder now? I'm feeling more nervous about it every moment I don't."

"It's actually not impossible that the guard may have come and apprehended him. We really only hold vagrants temporarily and this situation has already gotten more public than usual. Follow me." The STOMP team walked down the corridors of the building until they reach a steel door. Upon Brisk Iron's knocking, a weary eyed unicorn opens it. The changeling is suspended in a bubble in the center of the room. Upon seeing the STOMP team, he grumbles and rolls his eyes in disgust. The unicorn then speaks up, "The guard should be here in about ten minutes."

"That's GREAT!" Hector replied with a small hint of sarcasm. "Just enough time to ask a few questions. Why didn't we do that first? Can we wake him up?"

As they walked towards the prisoner, Gearick spoke up, saying. "I don't think I'm going to be all that helpful when it comes to interrogation, so I think I'll best help with the repairs of the base, any idea were I might best be able to help?" Admittedly, helping repair the building wasn't something that Gearick wanted to do, but he knew it was necessary, and the sooner it was done, the better.

Grease squints at the changeling. "Waitaminute, I know this guy. This ingrown scale is the changeling that nearly put us all to sleep on the way to the ninth temple of life. I thought we left him with Tensai. Then again, he knocked the old zebra out once, I suppose he could it again. When did he intrude here?"

"When Tensai returned to the Neighpon base for the repairs to the transport vessel, the infiltrator was transferred over. The whole Spectral Degradation mishap probably set him free while also delaying the guard. As far as repairs, Gearick and Dusty should check to make sure the generators are fully operational then run inventory on the south storage. Upper level clearance temporarily granted."

"We got a fair bit of info last time. He works for the Collective Opportunists of Intellectual Necessity--" Grease says, interrupted by a spark passing between his eyebrows. "--Which can and probably is abbreviated COIN. He's one of those very well-designed, very vulnerable agents that knows absolutely nothing about his higher-ups, so a bit more realistic than the average movie assassin. He almost killed me, but that was mostly dumb luck." He stops and concentrates for a moment. "Maybe we didn't get that much out of him. You have a better idea of what's happened here at the base, so you may as well run with your questions."

"Like I said, I ony have two and one of them is more for my own curiosity. That being said, I hope he knows something about the Mad Hatter... Does remind me. Whatever questions you guys have, I think I should conduct the interrogation. I have some experience in it, and I'm fresh in his memory."

Grease throws a very confused look at Hector. "The who-what-now? How did Lewis Mareoll come into this?"

Standing just outside of the Princess's room, Stout Spirit passed while a still panicked but calm at the moment Turquoise Tree cautiously pawed at the plate of food in front of him, the meal being a daffodil sandwich.
"Oh for the love of First Voice Tree, just eat the damn thing!"
"Stout, I have been dead for many generations. i am not used to having a stomach!"
"unfortunately you will just have to deal with it until we can reverse what happened to you. Until then, eat the damn sandwich!"
"Just ask the princess a question about the staff and get that over with as well."
"I'm not going to just barge in and ask her a question when she needs to rest. I'm going to wait until she is ready, physically and mentally."
"Quite the gentleman are you."
"I sure didn't pick those habits up from you now did I?" Stout adds with a laugh. The spirit laughs as well, and reluctantly starts to eat the sandwich.

"Huh?" Hector raised an eyebrow; briefly. "Oh! Not quite. I saw something really weird during the explosions and chasing and such, and thinking about it later that's what it reminded me of. So that's what I'm calling it until I know better. Some mare was with that guy when I first saw them... She was laughing while her head fell off. Literally. And then she just vanished in a puff of smoke. Bizarre, no?"

"Oh." Grease says, grimacing as a spark snaps between his eyebrows. "Her. She was on the island holding the princess hostage, so she's probably one of the bosses that he's not allowed to know about. For the record, if you ever need to get rid of her, shine really bright light on her."

Hector blinked a few times. "...Chooka," he cursed quietly, holding his face in his claw. "I hate being the new guy. Everyone else already knows everything."

"Regardless of veteran status, there's only so much time left before the guard arrives. Your questions won't ask themselves," Brisk Iron commented.

Gearick had left the group before they had reached the changeling to interrogate, having taken Brisk Iron orders, he headed to the generator alongside Dusty, wanting to make sure it was all in working order. Of course, the unicorn being one of spell-casting and not engineering, upon reaching the generator he would scan it magically to see if there was any problems.

"Sooo, when I said 'can we wake him up' that meant... What, exactly?"

"I'm awake you witless half breed. Don't even know how this organization is running with the likes of you in it."
As the changeling chose a less than polite way to respond to Hector, Gearick made a careful scan of the museum generator. It seemed to have a proper flow of magic coursing alongside the electrical current. Meanwhile, Dusty Winds seemed a bit preoccupied instead of actively checking the generator.

Hector allowed himself a smile that tye changeling couldn't see. "Good question!" he said, turning around to face the infiltrator. "Not that I really care. You remember me, I hope? I'm the one that hauled your sorry excuse for a plot down here," Hector reminded him, lazily flapping his wings to bring himself to eye-level. "Seriously, all kinds of holes in it. Like that lovely little mare that was accompanying you, until I showed up anyways. What's up with that?"
- Persuasion:
- Fishing for some more info on our head-losing mare. Also trying to agitate him a little with a pun about plotholes (Think about it...)

The changeling shifted a bit, trying to hide his discomfort, "She was here on other business but saw an opportunity to aid my escape."

"Is that so? She sounds like a really interesting individual... Shame she lost her head like that."
- Persuasion Continued:
- His reaction is important here. If he knows what I'm after, he may realise "lost her head" is meant literally, and perhaps spill something in response. If he really doesn't know anything, or is good at pretending so, he'll react as though it were a figure of speech.

Hector felt something fly up his nostril. He tried to ignore it, but reflexes kicked in as he turned his head to sneeze.
"Sorry, I'm allergic to horseapples," he said, taking the golden opportunity. "I kicked your flank once, I'll do it again. But enough abput you, back to this mare. You don't happen to know what her name was, do you? What she does? For that matter, do you have a name, or shall we just call you Plotless?"

- Moar Persuasion:
- New headcanon: Plotless is pony equivalent to dumb@$$. It still sounds insulting and it rolls off the tongue a lot better than dumbflank or dumbplot.
Anyways. Taking a more blunt approach, and also reminding him who the Boss in this conversation is.
