... I read the intro, but I didn't notice anything about being human. All I know is that we where going to go though one of the portals and not come back.

We never actually interact as humans, outside of flashbacks, so don't worry too much about it. DM just wants our human appearances to base pony appearances off of

I don't have any preferences for appearances or races or anything; as a matter of fact, if it's okay with you, I'd like to submit my human character after I get that info; try and make someone interesting/etc

The pony appearances aren't based off the human appearances at all- they're supposed to be random. And vice versa, the human appearance shouldn't relate to the pony appearance.

I just built my characters personality and background, and gave him an appearance because I could.

I think this implies that the ponies are at least partially based off of the human appearances.

You've probably seen that name before if you've read the Percy Jackson series, since that's where I got it from.

Human appearances are only used for flashbacks to pre-campaign occurences in the human world.

Some IRL stuff came up, I'll get the campaign thread started as soon as I can.
