In other news. The GM has permitted me to swap Found It! for Art of the Dress. I also have a combat build.

So...out of idle curiosity.
How much of an athletics check would it take for Blanket to lift the sofa and make Gallagher fall out of it?

(And...I really need to get to combat building. Sorry guys; been distracted.)

Interesting as Gallagher's home is, Eye Spy probably would have gone straight ahead to the protest for recon, in hopes of having relevant intel for when the rest of the group eventually arrives. That's not a problem, is it?

I'm kind of patching it over; waiting for Gallagher to get up, get changed, and get down to the protests/imminent-riots is taking too long, especially considering she's the full-button, uptight paladin-style lawful good. He should have been damn ready and at the station already, so forcing him out of bed? Nothing to feel bad about. Especially since Blanket needs to go somewhere her skills would be more useful.

...but that is all a patch on what was a dumb decision on my part. Sorry...

So, is that check still a thing that is gonna be carried out? Because if it is the case then I'd rather post in the aftermath instead of casually get off the couch only for it then to be picked up, or something else which doesn't much sense...

Hrmm, I think I might call a hold on this. Paper gets to react before being dumped on the ground, but Cav gets to save his roll for later instead of risking getting a lower roll on something. This sound good to everyone?

I've started my combat talents! Finally!
...but I admit, I don't have a real plan with them. I'm thinking of using Gather Energy to build up pips so I can use the Shatter Armor-Where it hurts- vuln exploiting combo...but I like that the big, -17 move as a finisher. For a heavy hitter mare, it seemed...appropriate.
(Also tempted by Judo Thriw, same flavour reasons).
Thoughts?

There's no reason to get It's Over outside of Wild Lightning. Even if you had a build that could generate the pips required, which you don't have, it is pretty inefficient (mainly the 3d12 to six creatures part, there are better ways to do that)...

Can I blame my unfamiliarity with combat? I admit, I wanted a BIG hitter, and 3d12 to six characters sounded like a guaranteed smackdown...but you have a point on not being able to reach that. I'll knock it off the sheet.

To be completely honest, the only reason no one takes IO is because there's always one person that says "Don't take it, its not worth it." I'm still looking for a game where I can team up with another player to pull off the Turn 2 It's Over strategy.

I think, if you want it, then take it, and have it in reserve. There aren't many strategies that maximize all 8 combat talent slots, so you can spare one for that Once in a Blue Moon battle when it pays off.

And... I'm not posting in the topic, since I don't have much to say besides "Yeah, we should go", so... Yeah.
