In the way of helping, I shall clarify that the sand cherry I have just made Blackhawk mention is the Prunus Pumila, a tiny variety of cherry that thrives in the desert and has a very sweet taste, though it does apparently cause contraction in organic tissue. Cherry Jubilee will probably get the reference, and shall hopefully take it as a compliment.

Is Serendipidy still in the area?

I assume one would have to ask Cherry Jubilee.

I thought about doing so myself, but it seemed potentially a bit too personal. Might possibly bring up some bad memories?

I don't mean is she still alive/anything like that: Serendipidy is the guide, Jubilee called her by name when she asked for a drink.
I just mean, is she still off ingesting ethanol, or is she somewhere in sight?

Okay, so what is Cherry Jubilee doing right now? Is she still talking with Banana or is she just standing there looking over trees or making sure ponies get out safely?

And, more Perception-check wise, how's her body language and demeanor? Does she seem approachable?

Perception roll: 18 + 8 bonus + 1(Draconia for the win) = 27.

Still talking to Banana; other employees were escorting the other ponies out of the orchard. She seems fairly relaxed; you could probably cut in without a problem if you aren't rude about it.
