Fruit is standing in the exact same place, doing the exact same thing. Meanwhile, Banana is trying to engage Suited in conversation about the weather, cherries, girls, or pretty much anything that comes to mind, receiving the occasional quiet one-word answer from Suited, who looks like he'd rather not be having this conversation.

"Well, it isn't norm'ly this exciting," the pegasus confides. "The fire was the first bit of real excitement we've had in a long time. Well, that an' the vigilante, but nopony ever sees him in action, so that's not real excitin', y'know?"

"Oh, I don't believe that. It's sort of like a...murder mystery. Somepony knows something. Just a matter of finding out who." Kal gives the pegasus a cocky smile, before stepping out of the store and walking back towards the ranch.

The guide pony clears her throat and begins talking in a professional tone. "If you all are ready, we can begin the tour."

The crowd quiets down at this, with the notable exception of Banana, who's laughing rowdily at something or other. Suited slinks away from him, giving everypony a terrified look that says "I am not affiliated with him".

It's about then that Kal arrives back.

Cheese whispers "Oh well. Would've made a good joke." Cheese finishes up his food and moves into crowd of tourists.

Zebulon looks over at Suited, trying to see if his nervousness is due to any medical cause.

Perception: 1d20 ( 8 ) + 8 = 16. "I do decree that he doth have lupus."

The guide pony clears her throat. "Well... then... let's... just begin the tour, shall we?" She begins leading the group further into the orchard, where workers are scurrying around the trees. The section they're in is full of trees in various stages of maturity, ranging from saplings to trees bearing unripe cherries to trees ready for harvesting. Earth ponies and pegasi comprise most of the workers here, the earth ponies mulching the trees or bucking down cherries and the pegasi using small clouds to water each tree or flying baskets of cherries to the buildings. Some unicorns wander through the trees, either pruning or picking cherries via ponykinesis. Finally, there are several ponies clearly there to check up on the progress of their fellows.

"The soil here is permeated with ancient buffalo magics that were meant to enhance the fertility of the land," the guide pony explains. "Magical specialists have determined that the spells used to be far stronger, but even at their reduced capacity, they still produce more and higher-quality fruit than nearly anywhere in Equestria. An odd side effect of these spells means that the trees tend to grow at somewhat irregular rates, hence the various stages of growth you see here." She gestures at the trees.

"As you can see, we've hired many dedicated workers to ensure that we get only the best from our trees. Specialists calculate the optimal amounts of mulch, pruning, and water each tree needs to produce at its fullest potential, and our workers ensure that these amounts are met. Once ripe, our pegasi transport the cherries to the work buildings for evaluation of quality, sorting, and product creation."

"Ma'm, If I may ask a question: I admit I do not know much about buffalo history, but it seems to me such land would be quite valuable to them. How much did they ask in return?"

The guide pony blinks, caught off-guard. "I... honestly don't know. There weren't any buffalo here when Miss Jubilee came here, and I was there with her. All we know is that the unicorns we brought in confirmed it as buffalo magic."
