Blackhawk looked around furtively, seeing if Cherry Jubilee was still nearby, but somewhat at a distance, and whether the other ponies had dispersed. As in, far enough away to make sure what he was trying to do would work and not be seen.

Blackhawk shrugged, beginning to walk as normally as possible in that direction, a bit of a difficult task considering the relative unnormalcy of a hippogriff in a primarily pony town. "Be back in just a second," came the casual call.

"This is probably a really stupid idea," he thought, entering the restroom.

Fortunately, nopony else is in the restroom as Bloackhawk enters. Which has nothing to do with the Faust being curious, nosirree bob. :liarjack:

"Alright, then," Blackhawk murmured to himself, stepping into one of the stalls. "There are about a million ways this'd go wrong and probably will, but it's such a small thing I doubt anypony will really get angry or hurt if I get caught at it...includin' me." He chuckled.

As he closed the stall behind him, Blackhawk mentally prepared himself. This was gonna hurt a tiny bit. Reaching back with his beak, the hippogriff plucked a feather, wincing at the same time. Then he brought out the bottle of Gear Grease, uncorking it. "'Course, this probably won't matter what with the vigilante probably wearing a mask and all..." he mumbled to himself as he dipped the pointy end of the feather into the grease several times, until it was soaked.

Blackhawk then took the feather in his talon, bringing it up close to his nose both to check its scent and to attempt and block out the smells around him. Once it was determined to be satisfactorily smelly, the hippogriff moved the feather back into its proper place in the wing, holding it there as best as he could. Then he corked the bottle of grease and put it away.

Then Blackhawk simply walked out of the restroom, glad to be leaving the unclean place, and checked to see if Cherry Jubilee was still around.

Jubilee is indeed still around and doesn't appear to have noticed Blackhawk at all, let alone the feather. Anypony else wanting to figure it out needs to beat his Persuasion with Perception.

"Just, uh..." Blackhawk sighed a little. "This is gonna seem weird, but that's kinda the point. Let's see here..." he looked back at his wing. "Probably won't feel like you're gonna wanna touch it yourself, so..."

Then, ignoring any confusion on Cherry's face (or Top Banana's, though given what little he knew of the pony that seemed unlikely) and craning his neck, Blackhawk reached back and "plucked" his grease-dipped feather, wincing as he did so. "Lesse here," he said as he turned back to the cherry farmer. Then, after a moment's hesitation, he moved the feather to his right talon and placed it behind Cherry's left ear.

"There you go," the hippogriff continued cheerfully before anypony else could get a word in edgewise. "A gift. Not my usual kinda thing, and I'm sorry for it bein' so odd, but I heard the boss wanted to make you a business partner, at least in a venture or two, and I gotta make sure you ain't one of them changelings." He shrugged. "Something this strange happening that you don't tell anypony about could make a good password a'sorts."

Then, with a sudden "suspicion", he turned to Top Banana. "Unless, of course, you're a changeling..."

Jubilee blinks. And blinks. And blinks again.

And Top Banana bursts out laughing.

"Haaaahahahahahahaha!" he guffaws, obviously amused. "Ah-heh, that's a good 'un. I'll have to remember that 'un. Ahh, that'll be great for party conversation!"

"...I... guess... I can't really argue with that logic?" Jubilee eventually says, very clearly confused.

Blackhawk nodded, visibly holding back a smirk. "Have a nice day, both of you."

He then walked back to his group, smirking slightly to himself. "And if we just so happen get close to the vigilante, close enough to hold them down but maybe not keep them there, and their ear happens to smell like grease...well, that makes thing suddenly pretty darn easy, doesn't it?" The smirk disappeared. "Unless she decides she's wantin' to wash before going out. Or happens wearin' really thick clothing for her costume. Or has actually seen this coming and is planning on dousing herself with perfume."

Blackhawk paused momentarily.

"Eh, still worth it," he finally decided, rejoining his group.
