Zilean's Revenge (Part 3)

"Morning, madame," Jeraylia said as she entered the room, leaving the shadows of the door with a long suffering grimace. She gave the old lady a wide, comforting smile, full of warmth. "Please don't bother yourself over our intrusion. We're just here to pick up our stuff. No need to pay us any mind. We'll be outta your hair shortly."

"Oh...yes, we're sorry for disturbing you, ma'am, particularly at such an hour. We'll be out of here momentarily." Rolf picked up the box, gave the lady a nod, and started heading for the door.

"Yes of course, please excuse us ma'am.  Oh, and to answer your question, I would guess it is six o'clock in the morning.  We mean no offense by leaving, but we have an errand that cannot be delayed any longer than necessary.  Another time perhaps?."  Says Zthulan after finally pulling Koras off his snout.

Skitter just silently grabs his stuff.

Horizon can't help but be suspicious at the obvious assassin/cultist/monster disguised as a sweet old lady, but doesn't say anything about it now. He grabs his things, checks his blades for any undue damage or signs of mishandling, and goes over to the door out. He tries o get a better look inside the bedroom as he goes.

Percept: 8+10= 18 (+5 FK in illusions, just in case)

Taking bets for what we find if we explore a little too much, I've got $10 on the body in the bed being at least 2 weeks dead.

The main door leading outside easily opens inwards. The street is relatively calm and dark, where not moon-lit. The sounds of what can be assumed to be the garrison you just left can be heard a street away. Looking at the outside of the building, the rest of its exterior has been boarded up as well, much like other buildings around have been.

Perception: 11 + 2 = 13. Nope.

Replacing Syphon Life with [something will go here] because Dan&co. decided to make it useless for 90% of people who actually cared about it despite being informed that's what they were doing.

Edit: Actually, I'll just let you guys vote on what I should replace it with. One of: Invigorating Strike, Radiant Blade, or Mindfray.

The party almost gets lost in the darkness, but Horizon manages to lead them towards the destination. Approaching the edges of the square, they see that a small war camp has been constructed over a charred blast-zone, and it is buzzing with activity, if the sounds of commotion and lightning within is any indication. From outside, they can note the following:

- On the north side of the camp are three tents, two of which are occupied/lit, the third seemingly empty.

- The walls of the camp are comprised of 10 foot high wooden fence-like constructions, unable to be seen through or stood on top of. There are few openings in it:
1) Two rudimentary "gates", with a pair of lookouts on each, looking over the wall on top of a small platform connected right next to the gate.
2) A pair of incomplete / in construction sections next to the gates, that are being worked on by a number of purple-robed individuals.
3) An incomplete section near the unoccupied tent, being worked on by a few individuals.
4) A section that appears to have suffered some damage, and is collapsed, but partially ablaze and treacherous to navigate, at the north. The fire from it does not appear to spread for some reason.

- In the southwest corner is a large wooden shack.

- There appear to be more things in the southwest corner of the camp, but they are out of sight from the walls.

- Occupying the majority of the center of the camp is a gigantic tent, that pulses with different colors on occasion.

You can roll streetwise for more info, or perception for specific sections you're interested in. How/where will the party approach? The camp is pretty much surrounded on all sides by a bunch of tall buildings and streets, so you can approach from any direction without much difficulty, though you would be exposed as you approach near the walls.

You're probably right. I just don't wanna pay the hotel I'm staying at their ridiculous internet costs XD.

You're outside of it / edges. Imagine everything outside the map to be big buildings with streets beside and maybe a few roads that lead (or used to lead) to the square where the explosion was (and the camp now occupies). You probably arrived from the south, but can easily circle around to the other sides by passing through the streets and using buildings surrounding the camp as cover. There's a bit of space between the buildings and the camp, though, so no cover on immediate approach.

"Northeast corner looks like the best entry point, and keeping hidden is the best chance we'll have of making it into where we need to be. I can go around to the Western wall." Horizon scratches a basic map in the ground "Windy here, and Zthul's spirit buddy, if he'll let me, can come with me, and we'll make a scene and draw as many as we can to us. Minor risk of casualty. At the same time, you guys go through the construction on the NE corner where they will at the very least have the fewest personnel, and should be distracted. After a few minutes of diversion, I'll back off, and see if I can make my way around to come in behind you. If you want to wait, hole up in that unlit tent, otherwise keep moving, and I'll find you."

Zarhon, are there gaps in this fencing big enough to see through? Even just a little.

"I think you missed my point. We don't need to show ourselves, not even Koras, to anyone if we can find a way in that they aren't watching."
