Looking for anything in particular? With a 14 and a general once over you can see he is a slate grey Earth pony with a blue mane and tail. His armor is matte grey and looks mostly like guard armor. His CM is a mouth with several tongues sticking out. He isn't wearing a helmet, and the cable around Kanen is attached to his belt.

Mostly thinking of Royal Guard procedure in times of crisis. On a lesser note, doesn't their armor have a minor enchantment to make them all look alike? If Storm can clearly make out Cobalt's features, wouldn't that be a red flag?

Did I say that earlier in the game? If I did, then ask Gearick about his armor.

As for reading his behavior? Not much you get from that. Martial law would mean that the Guard or other military are in charge.

You can ask Gearick about that too. (Hint: He's also in the guard. Not sure if he told you that our not though. )

I believe this puts at Level 4 and Destinies. Storm of course is going for Miracle Worker, but I'd also like to take the opportunity to update him to the new system.

Your thoughts?

Well that's a question isn't it. Ideally, I don't want to do it. I always liked Legacy over the updated stuff, I didn't update to GE or abilites. I was also quite proud to be the only running game that still uses it (to my knowledge).

But there are two good reasons to update. The first is that with the way the system has been updated, despite their promise to keep all the legacy stuff on standby in case of interest, I don't know where to find Utility talents, or old level up rules. Also, I realize that it is a little unfair that Kanen and Scales both got to GE their characters, simply because there was no Legacy template for those races.

I'd like to know, how strongly does everyone else feel about it?

Personally I'm good doing whatever. I can update Dodger easily enough if we choose to go to either GE or abilities, but he's good to go for the Legacy system if that effects anyone's decision.

The only things changed in the new version. I found myself with 6 additional ability points after I converted everything. I used these and bought additional Freaky Knowledge for Treating Injuries and Poison and the ability Cloud Chaser. I also swapped out the Combat Talent Draw Blood for Critfisher.

Combat swaps are fine- updates, nerfs, and banlists aside, nothing has changed in the core rules since day 1, so nothing bothers me about any of those changes.

IF we were to update- and all the way to abilities, no less- then this is probably the caveat to doing so. Ensuring you keep the Abilities counterparts to the Racial traits you should have. As long as you have those, everything else would qualify as Utility talents, and would then be accessible, so long as the rules on flavoring are still met.

The only BIG issue is Its Witchcraft, which to my knowledge doesn't have an Abilities counterpart..?

There's a specific section in the PonyHandler's Guide on It's Witchraft, but it doesn't look like it was specifically ported across.

Yeah, turns out the Devs specifically took it out because it caused arguments, and instead of trying to fix it (again), or just saying "use Arcana for the same effect", they very specifically do not want players to be able to do that.

Umm..we seem to not have been reading the same Ponyhandler's guide? It specifically says 'use Arcana for the same effect.'

Ok, this is my plan. Storm's first order of business is going to imagine some coffee because Exhaustion penalties hurt like crazy. Next is to imagine a magical dialysis machine, which will separate Storm's blood from the poison. Now the reason I mentioned that I may need Gearick's help is that I don't know whether it will be Heal or Mechanical check to create the machine.

Thoughts?

Neither. In the same way that Bells created an antidote without knowing the ingredients or how to mix them, you can just wish up a dialysis machine that works, without needing to know how it operates.As long as you know what it looks like and what it's supposed to do, it'll happen.

I need to review my notes on stuff pertaining to the coffee thing though.

God dammit.

Remember when I said my hard drive had been wiped? Turns out along with all my pictures, music, DnD source books, and other files, I also lost some old, extremely crucial campaign notes. Ones that, if I am unable to rebuild, will end up scrapping an entire arc of the story that I've been working at setting up since day 1, if not more.

The machine should work exactly as you want it to. It is filtering the blood... but at the same time apparently isn't. The Unicorn's reading is at 2.8%.

So I'm not sure if the Blue Moon Poison is a radioactive isotope or not. The ponies only show a couple of symptoms of radiation poisoning, namely fever and headache, but radiation sickness may show up differently to ponies.
