Tables...How do they work?
Been curious about this post option for a while. It might lead to some interesting formatting uses for some campaigns if there was more info about it.

That's really complicated. The shortcut actually makes it take longer.

This is really confusing. Maybe it should have a drop-down like the spoiler and the quote and the link and other things, so that it wouldn't be quite so confusing to use?

That... just gives me a headache. I know I might sound whiny, but I was kinda thinking something that is, I dunno, user friendly? I would love to use this for all sorts of things, but I just can't figure it out, at all. :IQuietkal wrote:>links to Forumotion's guide to using BBCode.

Re: Tables...How do they work?
Basically you lead with [table] to create a table object. If you want it bordered, instead start with [table border = 1]
Next you put in a [tr] to create a row, followed by [td] to create a text box. Close the box with [/td] before creating a new one, and close each row with [/tr] before creating a new row.
So if you wanted to create, say a 3x3 multiplication table, you'd have something like:
[table][tr][td]to create a text box within that row. Close each box with [/td]
[/tr]
[/table]
[table][tr][td][/td]
[td]1[/td]
[td]2[/td]
[td]3[/td]
[/tr]
[tr][td]1[/td]
[td]1[/td]
[td]2[/td]
[td]3[/td]
[/tr]
[tr][td]2[/td]
[td]2[/td]
[td]4[/td]
[td]6[/td]
[/tr]
[tr][td]3[/td]
[td]3[/td]
[td]6[/td]
[td]9[/td]
[/tr]
[/table]

Which makes the following:
Or, if you want it bordered, it looks like:
1 | 2 | 3 | |
1 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
2 | 2 | 4 | 6 |
3 | 3 | 6 | 9 |
1 | 2 | 3 | |
1 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
2 | 2 | 4 | 6 |
3 | 3 | 6 | 9 |
