The fairy simply twitched slightly. My eyes narrowed. Time to get dangerous.


"Hey flowers, listen up! Your time has come,
There's no room here for debate,
Your hour is nearly done
Time to face your permanent fate!
You think you can touch me with that?
Get out of town!
Uproot and walk away from me
Before I bring the fire down!
I'm Zacharias, guess what everypony says?
I'm a zebra in his prime

The last plant who attacked me

Magecraft:

Red stares at the orb on the ground. "I wonder what the other one I found does? Hey, do you guys know what the orbs do generally, or do they explode often in fields of flowers?"

The effects of the flowers finally take hold on Runeheart... and it seems the magic is unsure of what to do to him, so it just makes his limbs all noodly, as if they have no bones in them.

Simultaneously, all the flowers suddenly start moving around, avoiding Zach but brushing against everypony else around him. Now overflowing with magic, the flowers' effects happen almost immediately. Maddie becomes squishy and soft, like a marshmallow. Being made of candy and all, she probably has turned into a marshmallow. Sugar being a foal and all, though, finds himself also unnaffected. After a moment, there is a wide path through the flowers for Zach to pass through unaffected, though it will surely grow over again with flowers over the years.

Ghoul touches the orb with his hoof, and tries to get it to sort of...harmlessly burst and cover him with powder, which would hopefully also remove the paralysis from him.

Meta:

(OOC: Assuming that Maddie can still move)

The green marshmallow pony just sighs. "I warn you that there is dangerous magical flowers... And your answer is to add more magic into the mix. That seems like something I should've done... We're lucky that so far nothing deathly has happened."

... What.

"Well. A step in the right direction, at least..."

((Watch, something else is gonna happen and Zach will get hit too...))

Ghoul is harmlessly covered in a shiny, silvery powder, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to do the trick, as his mobile limbs are still limited to his head, tail, and one foreleg.

I think it's pretty obvious what you have to do now, so I might as well give you this info as well: because each cut only takes care of one limb, Ghoul has a choice of taking 5 actual damage or taking an Athletics/Acrobatics -3 penalty until the next extended rest.

I believe Runeheart is still touching the flowers, as he was bouncing around in them like a foal.

Ghoul sneers a bit and starts making motions like he's snarking the ground, as his tail reaches into the bag to grab another orb, not looking forward to exploding an orb directly below himself.

Meta:

Ghoul does manage to knock one of his 1 orbs out of the bag, but it rolls away into the thorny underbrush.

I meant after you got your main limbs back into use. After all, your main body would still be stiff, so you would have to then choose between damage and penalty.

Ghoul starts breathing heavily, and starts pulling himself toward the bushes with his lone hoof with his tail pushing as well while stabilizing him somewhat. Spying the thorns, he stops in thought and calls over to Maddie, "Hey...you said the thorns were anti-magic or something? And the flower magic was all up on us?"

Meta:

"No... The thorns drain magic from what I could tell... Meaning the full effects are likely to be negative to living magical creatures such as us. And would turn the orbs useless if they were to touch it." Maddie comments. "Or that's what the sane part of myself would suggest be the outcomes. It could possibly undo the flower's effects, but that is risky in my opinion."

Ebony begins grabbing any orb shards and sticking them into her affect limbs to nullify the flowers. (Taking 5 damage)

Runeheart, with the grace of a soaring eagle. Falls over in a heap of his own noodley limbs, before stating "Whee! This is kinda fun!" and trying to roll back towards the others as his legs had tangled themselves up when he hit the floor.

When Ghoul reaches the thorny underbrush, he finds the ground littered in 1 orbs, a couple of them even within reach of his mobile leg.

When Ebony scratches herself up with the shards, she finds that yes, she does regain control of those limbs scratched, and her coloring also goes back to normal in a spread like water on a towel.

As Ebony scratches away the last of the magic effects, she begins to feel a tingling sensation before a brief surge of chaotic energy bursts out of her. "What the..."

(Laughter, why not?)

Ghoul gives the orbs a questioning look, before reaching cautiously for one with his free hoof.

Ghoul manages to reach a 1 orb without pricking himself too badly, though he does notice that his leg is less stiff than it was before he got pricked.

Runeheart, with a questioning look, asks Ebony "Hmm? What's wrong?"

"Ok... I think that tasted like a random burst of chaos-ish magics...." Maddie comments as she looks over the place trying to find a way around the flowers to easily avoid the thorns.

(OOC: not really feel like rolling for this, I'd like to just take 20 on this task if allowed)

Maddie sees the very straight and wide path created through the flowers by Zacharias's magic, for one thing. Aside from that, Maddie thinks she sees a route through the tree branches that, though long and complicated, would probably get her over across the flowers in reasonable time.

"Ah jeez," Ghoul sharply pulls back from the thorns as they scratch him. He stares at them for a second, before grimacing and slowly turning his body around before moving his entirely paralyzed side into the thorns, just trying to fall away from the thorns as soon as he feels like they've unparalyzed him somewhat more.

When Ghoul touches the thorns with his affected limbs, a tiny silver speck on the branch grows as it absorbs the magic, then falls off as a 1 orb. Ghoul is also dealt 5 damage, and has full use of his body.

((Dropping the first-person writing. It's just too awkward.))

"Okay then. Puncture ourselves with the thorns to cure the blue flowers. We need a name for those, hmm. I think I'll call them Poison Joak..." He bent down to examine the thorns, careful not to touch them. "I wonder..."
