Well, for one thing, the shards of the orbs seem to cure Poison Joke as well as the thorns. For another, the thorny plants seem to grow orbs when they absorb magic, especially that from the flowers.

Sugar's skin felt itchy watching ponies mess with the thorns. He slowly scratched part of his ear then the rest of his body until the heat from the friction set him on fire.
"Wow that was a bad itch." the young colt said out loud before freaking out."OH JEEZ IM ON FIRE AGAIN!"
At this point, Sugar began running around and rolling through all the plants.

Maddie takes the long safe way around... Not trusting Zach's path one bit. She equally doesn't react to Sugar being on fire, after all in her viewpoint being set on fire isn't really that odd or bad of a deal.

Being magical, these blue flowers apparently have a collective survival instinct, even if their magic doesn't effect foals. A flower or two wither and die, and suddenly the flaming Sugar Rush is doused in water.

Thank you universe for agreeing with me that Being on Fire isn't a big deal... Maddie thinks to herself in reaction to the random water event that happened to Sugar as she moved to get around the thorns the long way.

Ghoul steps sharply away from the thorns, his limberness mostly restored. He moves back though and reaches under the thorns with his unfeeling tail to collect some of the orbs, trying to make sure not to move his hindquarters into the sharp bits as well.

Ghoul refills his collection of orbs, before trying to break off a bit of the thorns with his tail. Having something that can absorb magic and produce items would be highly useful.

Ghoul ~~auto-~~fails at pulling off a section of the thorny branch, instead he just pulls the entire vine of thorns forward onto the path.

Zacharias can come up with no cure for Poison Joke aside from the ones already discovered.

Maddie moves along trying to go as fast as she could, but being careful enough on her long path around to not really need to be of any worry for all of the orbs said Green Marshmallow had with her.

(OOC: Yes I'm taking 20 on everything at this point... Just tell me when I get around the stuff and if I'm like able to do anything to help the others recover yet or something.)

(Well, considering you've already been effected, you can stop anytime, but by now I'd say you're about a foot or two from your destination.)

As Ghoul grabs for the thorny vine, he pokes himself on a particularly large thorn. When before the thorns had made his less stiff - less paralyzed - this one now made it so that he lost control of his entire leg and part of his shoulder, it just hanging there limply and in the way.

Ghoul staggers backward in slight shock, before falling onto his hindquarters and holding his limp leg with his other foreleg. "NOPE DEFINITELY STILL HEADING STRAIGHT OFF THE CLIFF!"

"THANKS MADDIE." Ghoul shouts at her as he starts fumbling around with his bag, trying to get out another orb to hopefully fix his again messed up leg. "NO REALLY, THAT HELPS ME SOOOOO MUCH. I'M CLEARLY NOT HAVING A PROBLEM HERE. THAT'S SARCASM, DID YOU HAVE SARCASM ON THE ISLAND?" Without pausing long enough for a more than a "Well-", he continues talking (more to himself than at Maddie,) "Oh of course! It was invented there! You were a being that subsisted purely on sarcasm and inconsistencies of grammar? Of course! Why not! I'm so incredibly interested in these things that you bring up that have no relevance to anything at all!" He rolls his eyes as he finally finds the orb, moving it next to his limp arm and taking a breath, before swinging his good hoof down and into the orb to smash it and hopefully drive some shards and sense back into his paralyzed hoof. He turns his head at the last moment to not take any to the eyes.

If anything, Ghoul smashing the orb only made his limp leg worse. In fact, everywhere that was hit now suffers from slightly floppy joins and muscles.

(also, the flowers didn't effect Ebony until she finished crossing the flowers.)
