6 damage?

I make casual predictions to see how people react. The three reactions did 18-->12-->9 damage, and given the analogous occurrence of the petals falling off the flower, one by one, the damage is clearly decreasing. Given the trend of *1/3, I took a guess.

Of course, there's always a possibility that there's a big nuke when the petals run out, but if that was going to happen you probably would have made it clear just how many petals there were to begin with.

Uhh, yeah, that was just a coincidence. I was just trying to think of a way a Sunflower attacks. Although I might keep that in mind for later...

I'd prefer you rolled the d8, for the boost and heal, like now. It matters for the reactions.

Also you can heal him to positive health, and heal be able to attack, but the fatal damage stays.

If Sunbeam is okay with it, then I'll hit Skitter with the healing part of it, and try to build up my pips to hit Sunset with It is Not this Day instead. Sorry for the delays!

It's a [-6] minor,so It'll probably take Compass a few turns to pull off, and you'll only get 1d4 HP, but you choose which move you want to use.

Alright, yeah. If you can't use it next turn, then stuff it and just get me back on my feet as quickly as possible. Though you will have to make an effort to heal me enough so that I don't get knocked out by the wind-ups before I can take my turn.

Say, do I still get saving throws while unconscious?

Okay, if I understand things... Even if I used my Divne Boon healing on Sunbeam, he would have only got three... meaning Three would knock him right out again. I don't want to meta game, but given that (and again, rule of drama and narrative and all that) I get the impression that it's better to just leave that part as affecting Skitter.

Though, Dr... On the damage front:
Sunflower react [10] + Vuln [4] = 14
One [12] + Vuln [4] = 16
Three [10] + Vuln [4] = 14
HP [49] - Total Damage [44] = 5

And I have ongoing damage 5. Buck.
And I didn't take Wave of Zeal, WHY DIDN'T I TAKE WAVE OF ZEAL?

Er... Advice fellas? Cause right now, the only move I can do next turn (besides hoping that I don't die of ongoing damage) is Mocking Melody.

well, I shouldn't give advice, so I'll just state some things.

-Once per battle, you may choose to swap a talent you did bring for one you didn't
-I've altered the Ongoing to Ongoing 3
-Ongoing triggers at the start of turns, before you have a chance to save

For the record, I don't mean to come across as whining; just the opposite. I've been considering combats as things to get through on our way to the next plot point, so a fight like this, with the genuine possibility of death? I'm interested. Doesn't make the fact that the part of the system I was treating as rite and standard suddenly putting me in mortal peril is causing me to freak out a little lol.

Also, fuck load out experimentation, I doubt Wave is ever going to leave my combat choices again.

Seriously, I'm sorry if I made this too hard. It was not my intention to TPK anyone, i just thought the last battle was a little lackluster ( from my end, not yours, Cav) and wanted to step it up a bit.

Oh, tougher? Most definitely; the fact that Sunflower can hit on healing and sum outings- which some of the party specialises in- threw me for a loop.
Funnily enough though, I don't think this is too hard. If the last fight was a random dungeon encounter, this feels a lot more like an end-of-dungeon boss, with three elites as opposed to an army of mooks. Honestly, I think a part of what makes this seem harder is the idea that fewer characters are fighting... even though you are still counting skitter, Steel and Markeds actions. It's a psychological warfare thing, I think.

Point is, I'm enjoying it... And I stand by what I said. If you achieve TPK, we still got a decent story out of it (and nice nightmare fuel: the idea of the next set of challengers for Fiscords Game running into our characters robotised.) My point is... I'm enjoying it.

Choose one;
A) Roll two dice of your choice from amongst d8s, d10s and d12s (you could choose to roll both dice from one of these types, or a mix from amongst these types).
B) Pay 2 energy. If you do, roll five dice of your choice from amongst d8s, d10s and d12s (you could choose to roll all five from one of these types, or a mix from amongst these types).

With how slow the battle has gone so far, I'd like to request that everyone post their HP totals and any status effects they have at the end of each turn. It helps to make sure I don't miss anyone while healing. Before I didn't want to bother people with it but now my mental totals are just gone.

Er... On that note. Quick question guys.

I have vuln 4 and ongoing 3. So... That means at the beginning of my turn, before doing anything, I take 7 damage? Or 3?

I ask since... If it's the former... Well, my HP is 5. And while I'll RP a KO post, I don't want to hold the fighters up.

Thanks sun. I meant to do that, but forgot. Along this vein of thought, mj, what was the temp hp you rolled while i was having a personal crisis? Because I have somewhere between 34 and 37 health with that in mind.

It's 7 unfortunatly. But you get a perception check before you pass out.

Also, I rolled a 4 for your temp hp, Colter.

And I already rolled Skitter's save vs stun. She failed.

Yes they do. And you're not dead, just unconscious. A few heal checks, and you'll be back on your hooves in no time.
