An Arctic Advent - IC

You charge at the snake while it's focused on putting out the fire in front of it.

(All who wish to partake in this please roll initiative and I'll tally the results.)

Blood takes a deep breath, preparing himself.

The bear growled in irritation...As much as he wanted to pursue the unicorn, this...frozen...snake...thing...Was a much larger threat at the moment...He resolved himself, moving to try and get it away from the stone...That thing was important, he knew that much, it looked like there was nothing left to do but fight now!

Camellia, still wrapped around the bear was dragged along for the ride.

Can I truly help... Wave Rider flies closer to the Ice Snake thing while pulling out a staff from her cloak.

Adam notes the other heroes stopping their actions and charging the serpent. He takes a brief look around to see if there are other matters of urgency he might have to take up.

Adam hovers silently over to the monster, ready to offer his aid to the fighters.

The Fire Eater is coiled around the Fire Stone and you see the flames begin to be significantly quelled. As the monster drains away the flames of the stone, you can see it's cracked body reforming slightly. It remains entirely focused on the flaming stone.

(Camellia's Turn)

Camellia realizes that everyone is moving in to just attack the thing and detaches herself from Carn, ending with sort of leaving herself billowing behind him like a cape. (Because she's in the form of an animate cloak at the moment...)

The monster continues to eat away at the flames, and it's body is still reforming as it sits there undisturbed.

"Alright ya overgrown rattle snake. Prepare yourself!" Nihil says jumping into the air and flying at it. He rakes his right claw against it's back making a shallow cut and then spins around in the air to stab his tail into the wound before twisting it around inside.

Your attack seems to have no effect upon the creature, it's thick crystalline body seems impervious to such a strike. (Read: this creature has an amount of resistance) The beast remains fixated by the flaming stone. (Nice combo though)

Ursus continued barreling forward, rearing up and slamming his paws down on the beast, trying to smash the frozen thing to bits...Or at least get its attention away from the stone..."Come on, you overgrown icicle! Fight me! I'll smash you to pieces!" he shouted, taunting it...

A diaphanous spirit of clouds coalesces just behind Adam, and proceeds to release a mist of comforting presence.

Your attack just barely chisels through it's thick crystal scales and you notice it's reformation has been stopped for the time being. Still, the hit wasn't enough to grab the creature's attention, as it remains focused upon the stone.

Known Conditions: 1OGD, Weakened.

Glenrir growls and grunts. With a quiver, tiny growths and shoots begin sprouting inside of him, visible in the holes between bark and twig. Like his birch wood, they're pale. It's almost a sky-blue tone as his reservoir of uncanny magic permeates his insides, giving them a slight glow.



Using Gather Energy.

Blood Mage's horn starts glowing a deep red as he forces the Fire Eater to attack itself.

You engulf the creature's tail in a bloody glow. It swings around randomly as if possessed and ends up smashing it's own scales, but the weakened creature seems impervious to it's own attack. It almost seemed to turn it's own attack for it's own benefit, in an effort to perk itself up. (It's now weakened (save ends) instead of weakened until end of Wave Rider's next turn.)

With a noticeable effect, the Fire Eater manages to finally eat all the flames from the Fire Stone. The puncture wound to it's crystalline hide seems to not impede the large creature at all and reseals (Resisted damage and saved against ongoing damage). Though the act of eating such a massive flame seems to have left the creature momentarily debilitated. (Failed save against weakened) It now turns it's attention to the lot of you;the now-closest, most prominent source of heat, as well as a minor source of irritation.

(Initiative 15 turn start)

With it's attention now on all of you, it's cracked body starts reforming it's body erupts in a shower of sharp projectiles. (You are all dealt 2 damage, But the warden is slain protecting Adam Smash from the damage.)
You then feel a sudden unnatural cold descend upon you as it begins siphoning away your body heat. (You all suffer 3 ongoing damage (Save Ends)

With the sudden outburst of action the creature shakes off the last of the effects from the flame.

(Next up is Camellia)

Camellia flies off from Carn and up into the air, seeming to coil up like someone was twisting her or possibly trying to wring out water.

I'd like to note that whoever was protected by the Warden shouldn't be taking the 2 damage or the save ends effect.

The beast doesn't let up. No longer weakened, it lunges at a random heat source biting at Blood Mage and breathing out a wave of cold. (Deals 1 damage to Blood Mage and his adjacent allies (Ursus and Nihil), Blood Mage is weakened (save ends)) It then shoots off another barrage of icicles at everyone hitting hard and nearly puncturing the flesh. (3 damage to everyone)

After getting knocked back Nihil takes a moment to take a moment to breathe and adjust his armband before flying back in.

Slightly frustrated at his last attack not having much of an effect, he scratches at the same spot as before with his right claw. Then he flies up a bit and dives into a headbutt hitting the scratch with the largest and sharpest spike on his head.

After the attack Nihil tumbles forward over the monster's back and flies back into the air and away from it, trying to shake off the chill.

Wave Rider lands on a snowy patch before stamping her hoof sending up a cloud snow and dust. Alright just need to use the snow to refract the light that should be more than enough to create a few illusions... She then gathers up the snow and sends the cloud straight at the Fire Eater's head.
