There once was a mare named Fire Fly who was queen of the pirates. She had fame power and wealth beyond your wildest dreams before they hung him from the gallows these were the final words she said. “My fortune is yours for the taking but you'll have to find it first. I left everything I own in one piece.” Ever since pirates from all over the world have set sail for the Grand Line searching for One Piece the treasure that will make their dreams come true.
Characters and Creation In addition to the standard things (3000 gold, 8 race points, official races and most unofficial.) there are three more things Talent Specialization, Flaws and the optional Devil's Talent( more below).The first flaw is mandatory further flaws shall take talent slots. Additionally unless specified otherwise all the characters will already know each other and consider eachother friends. Back Story is mandatory. New players get a bias in their favor for selection.

Most of the game will be spent on the islands and seas making up the world beginning in the West Blue sea. As for tone mostly light hearted but violent but do not be surprised at a swing for darkness.

- The Devil's Talent :
Across the world there are mystical fruit that can give the eater many different and varying kinds of abilities depending on the type of fruit. If you chose to take the devil's talent you will gain a utility talent of your own or my making at the cost of the complete inability to swim this cancels out any abilities that allow for underwater survivability. There are three types of fruit Logia giving elemental powers Zoans giving animal powers and Paramecia giving miscellaneous powers. Like most utility talents specialization helps for 10 talent points you can greatly increase the ability. Most details will be ironed out later after you decide to take this.

One-Piece? Hmmm...May modify Rock-it for this. No devil fruit though. I don't have the neccessary imagination to use them to their fullest potential.

If you rework him I will take happily take him but you must completely overhaul utility talents and racials additionally the backstory at the moment is not acceptable. A pirate lawyer would be interesting to say the least.

So, I've been on my own for about three or four years now. When I left, I decided arbitrarily to give pirating a try; and have found it to my liking. Mostly I've been doing small, solo jobs, on and off the water. I've been putting Bits away this whole time, a little here, a little there, and want to someday buy a ship and hire a crew. For now, I'm hoping to join one, maybe rake it in a little faster and easier... but not a big crew, nope. About four or five others for now, I think..
Will be sending/posting some stories of past exploits as I think of them.

already attacking my rails and that kind of backstory might be a bit much for a level 1 but still workable.

It could always be worse; I was sorely tempted to name him Roberts... But I'll try and tone it back a little. Still, I would like to play someone of a rather questionable morality, without being a flat-out Card-Carrying Villain. Grey And Grey morality, if you will...
And yes, I'm being rather munchkinny with this one, on backstory, on combat, on utility. That's why I don't have the mechanical side finished yet; I'm thinking about it VERY CAREFULLY, planning every little step of the way...
It'll probably be ready tomorrow night, at the latest.

Although judging by my avatar you can probably guess I'd be interested in playing this game, I fear I am simply too tired tonight to come up with a proper character sheet. I may or may not be able to tomorrow, assuming I am 1) less tired and 2) still in time to get a spot, which I probably won't be.

Or do we just make them up, with your approval?
I'm not familiar with One Piece, apart from the stuff in the One Piece 3.5 campaign comic, so I have no idea whats allowed and what isn't, as far as devil fruits go.

If there's room for one more, I'm game. I should have a character sheet relatively soon (always had the idea, just needed a campaign to use him on). I'll modify his backstory to fit the setting. I don't think I'll go for a Devil Fruit at this time (unless you have a good suggestion once you see my character sheet).

Do unicorns already fill up all the points with "Ponykinesis" and "Finishing School"?

Also, I just thought of a question:
Is it possible for us to get one of the forbidden fruit types ~later~ in the game? Like, I know we can't start with a Logia Type; but is there a chance of us finding one later? Perhaps after a sidequest and/or 'freeing one up' after a boss fight?
