Something that isn't combat related (kind of):
At character creation, pick these

1)Personal Project (2) (racial)
Your race’s culture is obsessed with crafting bizarre new inventions. You’ve crafted a ‘personal project’ for your own uses. If your personal project is destroyed, you may spend your time during an extended rest rebuilding it. Your personal project is an item with the following criteria.

Personal Project - Item
At creation, choose two utility talents. This item allows its wielder to use those utility talents as long as they meet the prerequisites. However, each time the item is used - the wielder must roll a d100. On an 80 or higher, the Personal Project explodes in an almost ludicrously destructive fashion - dealing 2d20+10 damage to the wielder and 2d20 damage to any other creature within 50 feet.
--> Companion and Evolved Companion

2)Evolved Companion (UT)
Prerequisite: Companion
Your companion gains 2 racial trait points. You can take this trait multiple times

--> The Personal Project IS the companion. Said companion will have the following racials:
A) Naturally Skilled (2) --> The Rainbow Dash - 1/Day
For the next two seconds, you may move at a speed up to 30 miles per second. Moving this fast is extremely dangerous, meaning you may only carry one person at a time while moving at these speeds. When you use this talent - you may spend a Magic Point to increase this speed to 60 miles per second instead.
B) Fireborn (1)
C) It's Almost Like Flying (1)
D) Freaky Knowledge (1) --> Suicide Bombing

TADA!
You now have a flying bomb that can ignite itself midair and then dive towards a target at 30 miles/second every extended rest.

Huh, this is the second Utility Talent exploit in a row. Ladies and Gentlemen, how to Min-Max an attribute:

With this build, you have:
1) 20 in every skill in the attribute
2) roll twice on all skill checks made in that attribute
3) CMC on a 19-20 within the attribute
4) This is Whining can turn any nat 1 in the attribute into a nat 20, and can be recharged 2/day by Skill mastery (total 3/day, possibly)
5) Falling with Style can get you a skill modifier of +23 3/day (and can also be recharged by skill mastery. Also note that it says you can reroll nat 1s, not that you have to, so you can still activate This is Whining while using Falling With Style.

Now, this build uses all of your racial points and most of your destiny (you get 1 level 7 feature). You do, however, get 9 Utility talents to use however you wish (4 at creation, +1 at level 2, +2 at level 4, +1 at level 5, and +1 at level Cool, which can be used to supplement your attribute, or not. For the displayed stat block, Magecraft is obviously fantastic. Since the build requires no magic points, a brawn build could take Yee-haw and Derp, While a Horse-sense build could do the same thing with The Stare. If you take Highborn once or twice, you can take Specialist and give yourself a second strong stat, which you can supplement with addition talents.

It should also be noted that maxing out Brawn in this fashion leaves you with an extra level 4 destiny, meaning you only lack the Level 10.

Best do that while you can. Magecraft's going to be limited in capability soon or made into a DM-option that players can-by-no-means-count-on.

Quick note though - you can't take the same gameplay element (whether utility talent, destiny, combat talent, trait or anything else) twice unless it specifically says you can.

So, I just found a pretty nifty combo open up at level 3, and I thought I would share it.

The focus here is this nice weapon:

Weapon of Royal Command - 4500 Gold
Weapon
Once per round, you may use this combat talent.

[-4] Follow My Lead! - Reaction Utility
Trigger - You damage a creature with a single-target attack
Effect - Target ally can take a standard action.

-4 seems to be a step cost, but in actual fact, you can can 2 of the needed pips for the action easily.

All you need is the Rapid Recovery Trait and the Energizing Amulet trinket, they both give you a pip if your bellow 4 pip's, and that is what you'll be if your using this! Of course, Energizing Amulet and Weapon of Royal Command require 6500 gold, which is 1000 more than the average at level 3. So, just grab the Gold is power trait so you can get this awesome combo! And have 1000 gold to spare.

Of course, the combo isn't complete without a [+2] single-target attack. Your choices are Defensive Fighting, Blood Arrow and Rampage.

However, you could add a bit more flexibility to your combo and grab a weapon. Save the Hurriance Blade and the Necro-Scythe, they all have a single-attack talent that is at least [+2], possibly even [+3], and as you have a weapon, you'll be doing more damage. Meaning that you have even more chance of damaging your enemy to activate Foolow My Lead!

And really, with the 1000 extra gold, you can buy the Talisman of Weapons in order to get the weapon on your first turn, allowing you to use the combo on your second turn

That would work... if Personal Project worked that way.

...See the problem now? Companion is none of those four things.

Interesting question it reminds me of though. You're not supposed to take the same talent twice, unless it specifically says you can... Can your Companion have a talent you already have?

Potential uses if so:

- Spike, Take A Letter! If the party splits, send the companion with the other group. You now have a steady communication lone.

- Mook! Now you can summon up to 10 (11 if you count Companion. Granted, depending on the GM five of those aren't neccesarily under your control, but can't have everything.)

- Fast As Lightning! Now you can carry two party members, instead of carrying your companion.

- Derp! There's an extra Magic Point floating around here somewhere...

- Thunderbird! Extra bonuses amount almost to a Magic Point!

The list goes on, and on, and on.... and watch, it'll probably be re-worded to specify that no, you can't, just because of me.

Personal Project used to be just "pick a utility talent," which is the way it was when that post was made. Good try though.

Companions are basically separate characters. They can have anything a party member could have...beyond the companion utility talent and an element.

I like the dual Spike Take a Letter though, that's an interesting use for a companion.

Phoenix Rising, and the keep-yourself-awake-and-active, along with the "Healing from 0 HP when still concious". A couple weeks back, one of my party members completely revived themselves from -29 because of it.

Found something neat on Board earlier.
Mistral Robes - 1000 Gold
Armor
One per battle, you may use the following combat talent.
[0] Mistwalk - Interrupt Utility [1/Battle]
Trigger - A creature targets you with an attack
Effect - You cease to exist and can take no actions until the end of this turn. You have line of sight and line of effect to no creature, and no creature has line of sight or line of effect to you. At the end of this turn, you reappear in the space of your choice within 3 spaces of the space you left.

Wand of Fireballs - 1000 Gold
Weapon
Once per battle, you may use the following combat talent.

[+1] Explosive Fireball - Standard Attack [1/Battle]
Deal 2d10 damage to target creature and each creature adjacent to the target.

Citrus Twist finds herself surrounded by 4 Diamond Dogs. Citrus Twist uses Wand of Fireballs on herself, which then also hits all 4 diamond dogs (instead of just 2 or 3). She then interrupts the damage aimed at herself with Mistral robes, turning the move into pure profit full enemy team damage. Only 6 damage rolled, but damage nonetheless.
