This is just how the GM wishes to work the GRapple Charms, take one Weapon, one Armor, and one Trinket charm... Personally out of the two games I've played with grapple charms, this one, seems the most fun to do. Our GM isn't going to punish us for what combat we pick out. Z is cool like that.

But that is how Grapple charms are meant to work... You are right about that... Just Z sees it the same way you do.

Ok, did my grapple items. Z2, tell me if I used anything that doesn't work. Though I checked the glossary of terms and stuff multiple times and I think I'm fine.

I also have picked out grapple items... And I'm not 100% sure myself, cause of the factoid of being small and junk. So I might've chosen something that doesn't work with me too.

"Sword Whipping" is not usable by Wild Blue... And Flashing Lights is unavailable to Tourmaline.

Also, could all of you please place grapple charms at the very bottom of your sheet, so that I can find them easily?

(P.S. Game starting now.)

Weird... I thought putting them in with my Utility Items would make more logical sense cause they aren't being use as add ons to Combat Items.

Well trading out that one for something Desperate Parry then... That one should work.

I chose the same as Xel did. There just aren't many good weapon options for defense.

I do have some more setting questions though. Are the geography and culture different for Caballia then Equestia? If so, in what ways? Also, did you decide to go for the more serpentine baby dragons for Caballia or are they the same as Equestria's? You also didn't mention races like donkeys, diamond dogs, or buffalo I believe. I'm wondering on the status of Sea Ponies and Dragonnel (you'd want to check DB's Affairs of Darkness OOC thread for that last one) as well.

@Paper's Streetwise check: If that's up to us (or semi- up to us), I'm fine with that being good enough to know who Note is. Even if she had been trying to be subtle about who and what she is, I don't think it would have worked out anyway.

I think Wild Blue's only claim to any fame is that she won second place in the Young Flyers Competition analog...

I'd like to note there's probably more to that story Note just told but, that's just the way I saw her presenting it in the situation.

Porko's impressive history check allows him to remember that the legendary crystal empire is a lost city of crystal spires, pleasantly livable despite being surrounded by the harshest desert.

For those curious out of character, here's how Trixie got her job:

In Caballia, most of the citizens of Ponyville liked her act; however, two fillies, named Sugar and Spice, absolutely HATED it. They were frustrated by the fact that the rest of the town seemed to enjoy it, and their acceptance of her claim to have stopped a Canis Major... so they set a Canis Minor on the town (on an "unrelated" note, Caballia actually has a juvenile detention center.)

Dawn attempted to overpower the beast, but did not succeed well. Fortunately, Trixie was able to utilize illusions and subtle motions to trick the beast into knocking itself out (teaching Dawn a valuable lesson about using appropriate skills rather than substituting power in all situations.) Knowing that bit of heroics, and getting a recommendation from Dawn, Ignis offered Trixie the chance to become a member of the elite guard... which she accepted.

Her skill in illusions and ability to be very persuasive when she wishes has served her well. In addition, few would suspect a famous traveling performer appearing in a given location to be suspicious action; and NONE would suspect a vapid egotist who can't go five minutes without declaring her own name for all to be the thief who managed to steal from the local cult without divulging his/her identity. She is currently only NOT the country's spymaster because roughly 60% of the agents have threatened to resign if she gets authority over them.

Just noticed Ramsus' earlier question.

Buffalo have been replaced by boars, more or less.
Donkeys exist, but tend to live rather far away.
Baby dragons are serpentine.
Diamond dogs are relative unknowns, though are rumored to exist... but more relevant is an encounter with the Silvercats one had by Sparsity.

Okay, time for some clarification:
Appleteenie:
You are much, much smaller than normal people. Your size is considered small, and you must roll twice on Brawn checks, and take the lower result. You gain two additional attribute points. You can not go above the normal attribute limits this way, and you can not take this talent alongside Bigger Mac. In addition, you cannot initiate grapple attempts, but are permanently considered aware.

Bigger Mac
You are much, much bigger than normal people. You must roll twice on Precision checks, and take the lower result. You gain two additional attribute points. You can not go above the normal attribute limits this way, and you can not take this talent alongside Appleteenie. Also, your size is considered large when interacting with other large creatures, and are permanently considered surprised for grapple attempts.

In addition, we will be using this:
Level 2: +1 to all Attributes
Level 3: Daily +5 to a single skill check
Level 4: 1 Attribute Point
Level 5: +2 to all Attributes
Level 6: Gain an additional +3 in all trained skills, and an additional +1 to untrained skills if you have Applejack of all Trades.
Level 7: 2 Attribute Points
Level 8: +3 to all Attributes
Level 9: Additional use of +5 to skill check (or possibly +10)
Level 10: 3 Attribute Points

Having assorted attribute increase on leveling results in improvement in grappling, rather than it staying static through all your levels. Also, while this won't come up for some time, I believe that gaining an additional attribute point at levels 5 and 8 for those who possess attribute point granting flaws/racials would be appropriate...

Pfffft, alright, nobody here appears to properly approve of the level up bonuses; so apparently I have to redo them:

Level 2: Gain a permanent +1 to all your grapple checks.
Level 3: Once daily, you may negate any penalties you would suffer to an incoming grapple check.
Level 4: Gain a +3 to grapple checks if your opponent is using the same attribute you are.
Level 5: Gain a permanent +2 to all your grapple checks.
Level 6: Gain one of the following utilities:

NOPE! - 1/day interrupt
Trigger: An enemy would get you into a chokehold.
Effect: Begin combat with that enemy... with them at 3/4 of their maximum health.

What in Tarnation?!? - 1/day
Trigger: an enemy would initiate a grapple check with you
Effect: Immediately escape, and appear 10 feet from the foe in any direction.

Level 7: Gain a +5 to grapple checks if your opponent is using the same attribute you are. (Replaces the +3)
Level 8: Gain a permanent +3 to all your grapple checks.
Level 9: Once daily, you may choose to treat a grappled enemy as unaware; or yourself as forewarned on defense.
Level 10: If you use the same attribute as an opponent, and yours is at the higher level (+5 included), WIN.

I basically just wanted to do the attribute thing so that you guys could improve enough in grapple checks to stand a chance against higher tier foes... I'll likely change 6 later.

I WILL NOT CONFORM TO PEER PRESSURE!

On that note, I have a Skype now. Contact Name is thepapershadow I think. I do have mic, but would rather not use it, as I already spend a lot of time talking to other friends via a different program, and I'd rather not have to juggle two different conversations at once, if that is okay with you...

And mic is unneeded for chatroom-ness. XD
