A Tale of Two Kingdoms

Trixie hands five of you 100 Equestrian bits each (the sixth, Tourmaline, already had 100.)

"Trixie promises not to charge more than 1% daily interest."

"This Equestria place sounds real shonky," grumbles Steam, "Ain't nothing wrong with changelings, an' some of the most polite blokes I know are bats. Still, can't say I ain't stoked to see what new critters this place brings. How soon 'til we leave?"

Cassiopeia rather disinterestedly watches the arguments and snarking. Eventually she speaks up " What is left to prepare?" Then almost as an afterthought "I appear to have forgotten my proper etiquette. I am Cassiopeia and each of you are?"

"Names Porko, good to meet ya, Cassie!" The boar nodded, grinning happily. "Haven't ever gotten a chance to talk to a naga before, this'll be an interesting trip, for sure." He seemed excited, at least.

"Pleased to meet ya, Miss Cass. How's the rest of the family?" asks the bat pony as he holds out a hoof for the others to shake. "And g'day to you too Porko. How's the magic practice treating ya?"

"Wild Blue..." The Small Pegasus states quickly. "One of the fastest pegasi in all of Caballia... And one with some... Unique magics I can use..."

Cassiopeia is a tad shocked by the Bat Pony's familiarity and eventually shakes the pony hoof only slightly too strongly. "They are the same as always. May I ask who you are and if we have met before?"

Note shakes the offered hook quickly while saying, "Oh! Um... my name's Tourmaline Sharp but, you mares can feel free to just call me Note. It's... interesting to meet you all. I'm a crystal pony as you might just maybe have figured out. Of the unicorn variety. Possibly you've also deduced I'm from the Crystal Empire. My specialty is using this guy," at which point she sort of waves the thauramin around which causes it to make some noises sort of like wind chimes, "my thauramin, to make music and magic."

Huh? Porko didn't think he'd seen this bat pony before...Hey, maybe he was getting famous! That would be nice...He nodded happily, shaking the batpony's hoof happily once the naga was done, looking at the others. "Nice to meet you all, really nice...And ooh, cool...Magical music, that sounds like it'd be interesting...Hmm...We may have to compare notes sometime, I really like learning about new spells..." He was beyond happy to meet so many new people today, it was great day, new friends, he was gonna get to explore new places...What could go wrong?

"Name's Steam Irwing," he replies with a smile, "Crocodile Hunter. And while it woulda been ripper to meet such a beaut beforehoof, this is the first time. "...hhmmm... Anypony tell you about my magic skills?" Wild asked the Bat Pony.

The Blue Pegasus grins. "Then for those that don't know: I know a way to magically gift anybody, that I trust and can trust me, the power of flight for about a day or so... At best... I think... Haven't really timed how long it lasts..." Then she adds. "And NO, before you asked, this is nothing like that wings spell I've read up... My gift doesn't do wings... Just something different."

"Sure!" Note replies to Porko. "Weird name." she thinks. Before raising an eyebrow curiously at Wild Blue.

"Wait...Really? You're not messin' with me, are you? Just...Poof, and someone can fly!? HOW!?" Porko wheeled around, trying to pick up the little blue Pegasus and blinking. "That's...That's a fantastic ability, how is it possible!? Is it an extension of being a pegasus? Ya gotta tell me!?" He was in awe...It was...Incredible. He'd never heard of such things...He had a feeling he was going to be talking to pretty much everyone here to see what tricks they had...!

"Heh, it appears that you have only spoken to my clients." Wihkuk says, as he turns from Note to Wishful. "My real name is Wihkuk. But for non-changelings like yourselves you can call me Wishful."

"Yeah... It totally works... Not totally sure how I do it. Cause the tests needed to figure it out, would ground me for WAY too long then I'd like... But unlike any wing-spell you you can nearly just as good as me. Maybe even better. From what I do know, it somehow works by me tapping into my pegasus magics, to I guess I then link them to somebody else to use just as easily as I do, and I just got a gut feeling that trust's got an issue in this don't ask me why... So um yeah... Well, um, Porko, I gotta ask first ask, do you trust me?" The Pegasus asks as she got picked up by the Giant Boar.

"Makes sense, if you're linking to someone like that, there'd have to be trust, or it wouldn't work out..." He paused for a moment, looking at Blue for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, I trust you. Why wouldn't I?" He was being sincere in that, trusting her completely.

Then, Wild Blue breaths in and out once as a bit of magic bonds around Porko linking him with her pegasus magics. "And that's it... Quick and painless..."

Porko looked at her for a moment, letting her do it, blinking...He didn't -feel- any different, and he hadn't sprouted wings...So..."Uhm...Without wings, how'm I supposed to fly...? Oh...Maybe I just...Ya know, kick off, and-..." He hopped into the air, floating a bit awkwardly for a moment as he got the hang of being able to openly defy the laws of physics. "...This...Is...The best...Possible...THING!! Thank you!! This is fantastic!" he exclaimed, floating about happily as he enjoyed being able to fly...This was amazing!!

"Not only can you fly, but you fly, like me..." Wild Blue notes with a grin. "So then... How about a quick race?"

"A race? Sure! You're on!" Porko nodded, getting ready to really put this flying thing to the test...! This was gonna be fun!

And then Wild Blue sprints off with her wings.
