Infinite Laughter

Moonseeker looks at Stargazer, startled. "'A lot of food out there to eat?' If that's true, then the town is providing all but the bare minimum they need to survive until spring. Oh, I was so hoping we could stay here for at least a little while longer." She sighs.

"If that is the case," Moonseeker turns to go outside, "Then it is-" She freezes, eyes locked on the purple gooey creature in the doorway, which has foals gathered around it, gooey and giggling.

Maddie keeps an eye out with her cute purple bloby monster. Feeling quite sure the thing was under her control and harmless to the children. But she could be totally wrong... Hopefully she wasn't.

Moonseeker gasps. "I must give it a hug!" And then she does so, and is just as giggly and gooey as the foals.

Stargazer laughs and goes to grab some food, levitating a plate of the most scrumptious looking food she can find over the Moonseeker. "Don't get too ahead of yourself, sis. I grabbed some food for you. You should probably eat, though I am glad to see you so thrilled."

Moonseeker levitates the purple goo creature onto her back and gladly accepts and eats what Stargazer brought her, feeding some to the epic cute, eliciting a purr.

"Oh. Hey guys. So this party's pretty alright." Ghoul wanders into the area fortuitously, glancing confusedly at the goo creature.

"WOOOOO PARTAY!" Sugar bellowed, "All right everypony the name of the game is flip cup preferably would only like to have the more grown-up ponies playing but kids are welcome too though they'll have to have virgin drinks. Let's drink till we can't see straight."

Moonseeker looks at Star, Sugar, and Ghoul, foals clammering over her to get at the Goomy on her back. "Uh, perhaps you should drink without me. Last time alcohol touched my lips... bad things happened."

Ghoul shakes his head at Stargazer. "Any other 'problems' around here were probably taken down by that big Timberwolf. They're not relly the type to share forest." Ghoul glances somewhat menacingly at a nearby townspony. "Unless there's something else you forgot to tell us about, and are about to hide without notifying us or letting us in."

"Celestia took care of everything else the moment Discord was taken care of." Moonseeker says to Ghoul. "Everything that would be worth worrying about, that is."

Ghoul looks at Moonseeker, surprised. "And she left the giant Timberwolf? What, did she say, 'nah, that one's alright. definitely not going to cause problems anywhere it shows up,'...?" he asked rhetorically, heaving a sigh after a moment.

Meta:

"Now you can't be afraid to have some liquor because of one bad experience, I mean I remember one time I drank so much that I ended up giving a stool a serious case of rugburn and lit it on fire." Sugar started searching for drinks for the game. "Besides eveb if something bad was to happen I'm sure we could handle it."

"Uhh, the problem was slightly larger than just a stool being lit on fire..." Moonseeker says.

"Well that nun never did walk the same way again after the stool incident...."

Moonseeker looks unsure. "Mine happened on a slightly more... large scale, than a single nun, but I guess if I don;t have too much..."

Moon looks down in thought for a moment, then turns to Star. "I guess you're right. Might as well play some BS while the others play their drinking game."

The next day, an hour after sunrise, the town waves goodbye to the heroes they will never forget. Blackberry Cure, the mare whose home they stayed in for the last two nights, has decided to travel with them for reasons yet to be explained. Any and all that partook in the drinking games must roll 1d8: the result is their penalty to all skill checks due to hangover for the next 1d12 hours.

Ghoul squints his eyes, not entirely pleased to be walking towards the sun. Still, he sees the potential to mess with a much more hungover Sugar and makes his voice sound muted and nasally. "So...where we going? Since we're not staying in filly-topia back there. Jus'...trotting til somethin' shows up?"

Blackberry somberly trotted along the path away from the town, knowing that she hat taught several ponies how to best use the herbs she often used, and no longer had a place in the town. Though she forced a smile, half to keep up appearances, and half at the prospect of exploring a world she hardly knew.
