Non Sequitur: The Campaign

I raised an eyebrow and started to protest about yet another newcomer; but wait, he sounded like he belonged here. "Kick Me?" Okay!

"Said the boot to rump;
'What sayest thou?'
When the boot says 'Bump!'
The rump says 'Ow!'"

Magecraft:

Tumbletop noticed the sign on the bland pony's head. "Really? Wow, non-circus customs sure are weird. Oh well. When in Roan..."

Tumble jumped in the air as high as he could and tried to drop-kick the bland pony.

Athletics:

Both the boot and Tumbletop happen to kick him at the same time, just as he is nearing a turn in the hallway. The combined kicks send him horn-first into the wall, getting him stuck. "Aauugghh! Oh no, now that she has no royal duties to attend to, Celestia is going to be more of a prankster than usual... though usually ponies don't actually go for the 'kick me' trick!" he says to himself in a sort of mumble. "A little help here, please?"

"I think not; you look unacceptably boring. I can find my own way, I think," I stipulated as I started to sing in a soft tenor:

"Hush now, quiet now, it's time to go to bed
Hush now, quiet now, lay down thy tired head
Lay you down in peace until the morning light
Lay you down and rest throughout the night..."

Magecraft (Again!):

The pony struggles against the sudden sleep spell, but not for long. He soon starts emitting a very silly snore, silly even for Maddie.

Tumbletop stared for a moment. At this point, even he was aware that this was in no way customary, but he couldn't help but giggle at it nonetheless. Wordlessly, he followed after the zebra, a large smile on his face.

I snerked quietly at the snoring. "Let us be off; 'ere he awakens and finds himself still pinned to the wall," I suggested, stepping quietly down the hall. So many bedrooms! (Or I assumed they were bedrooms. The doors looked that way.) I picked one that suited me; an old oak door with a dragon design in the hinges, and marched in...

((Please don't be occupied...))

Runeheart, after seeing the two newbies implant everyones guide into the wall, Facehoofs, before saying "Zachy Boy, for someone who apparently has huge amounts of magic power, You're a complete dunce. Now help me get this guy out of the wall before you accidentally open a door with a dragon behind it and get your flank melted off."

"You have fun with that," I retorted. "If I wanted to be smart, I would've stayed home. Let the dragon melt my flank! I don't want to survive; I want to live. There is a difference."

"Well you just implanted our guide into a freaking wall! So how about if you stop being an arrogant bully and help me get him out I won't kick your butt!" Runeheart says, pressing his forehead against Zachs and growling at him.

Intimidation(Persuasion) (I don't care if it doesn't work on PCs):

Zacharias, instead of finding a bunch of doors, finds that the hallway goes now in three directions, all identical in every way.

(OOC: please don't opt in your own things like that, especially when you have had no description thus far of where you are except "hallway." You guys haven't even completely left the throne room yet.)

I shrank back slightly. I didn't particularly feel up to a full-blast magic duel right now.

"...You're right. That wasn't very nice," I said, looking back at the servant in the wall. "Let me think a moment..." I pulled a pocket-book from within my fez; the book of poems I've found over the years that are particularly useful, for such an occasion as this. It would take several spells to make this work; one to un-stick him, one to wake him up, and one to change his color - what? Of course I was gonna change his color, he was so BORING!

"I once found a unicorn stuck to a stone
Yet asleep with a sound of ecstasy;
I asked him 'Wherefore dost thou stumble so,
Or was this accidentally?'

He awoke, replying with righteous rage:
'Thou did'st shove me insensibly!
What harm was done to you
to treat me so discourteously!?'

I called upon the mason then,
To extract him from the stone;
But to my surprise, he improvised,
And popped out on his own!

What now shall I do?
I have not yet righted wrongs!
How shall I mend the bridge
With only my magic songs?

A splash of cherry, a drop of gold
A needle, cloth, and thread;
A once grey pony 'twill look quite bold

Tumbletop nodded. "Okay, so we're actually not supposed to do that. Sorry."

He noticed Runeheart getting mad and tried to stand back a bit, but calmed down when he saw Zach wasn't letting it get to a fight. He then watched in fascination as the zebra began to weave words together.

"Yay you're not being mean! I'll help you." Runeheart says, attempting to assist Zachs magic using his own.

Assisting! (Arcana):

Mad Nopony has just gone into pure gigglefits sicne seeing the new newbies follow the sign on the guide's backside... While she does giggle she moves in to help as well and just pull him out of the wall.

Assisting (Athletics):

The pony pops out of the wall with a loud popping noise, also now wide awake."You- wait- what?" Looking at his new coat color, the pony sighs and starts leading the way to their rooms again, but not before yanking off the "kick me!" note.

After a few minutes of walking, the pony comes up to a lone door in a hallway, and opens it for the group. "These are the adventurer's quarters. The door all the way on the left leads to a room that includes absolutely everything you may find yourself needing on an adventure, or at least those things that can be carried reasonably on such a venture." Behind the door is visible a very bland looking room, with three doors on each wall. There is a table in the middle of the room with some maps and pencils and quills and ink, and one of the maps is stuck full of pins.

I looked at the not-so-bland pony with some disdain as he left. The new color was way better then the previous one! Some ponies, can't be pleased can they? I didn't even make the "horse of a different color" pun.

"Navi! Go forth and find the kitchens! Do not return without pie. Ideally a pudding pie, but any pie will do if it must," I ordered the small fairy. I didn't think she would actually succeed; but it would get her out of my mane for a while, and who knew? Maybe she would.

((Note, that I have tweaked Navi's stats some; she is now at 3-3-7-7 rather than 4-4-8-4.))

The little blue fairy pops out of his fez, but doesn't go anywhere. "Do you really think I can carry something as large as a pie? That would be like asking a pegasus filly to carry a house!"

At first, Tumbletop looked at the bland room with some disdain, but when he noticed Navi, he whipped around so that Navi was between him and Zach. "OOOH! What is that? Is that a shiny? Or...what is that? It's awesome! It can talk? What's it do? Why are you fighting with it? Can it really get pie?"

Navi pays no attention to Tumbletop, and instead just goes into the room - then jumps up to the ceiling as a cat comes from seemingly nowhere, trying to pounce at her. "*** ****** **** ******* ****************** *** **** **** ***!!!!!!"

"I'm still amazed that you two did that epic kick..." Mad Nopony giggles then she sees the cat and moves to pounce at it and declares. "KITTY!"

The cat looks at Maddie suddenly pouncing on it with ears back and eyes wide, then begrudgingly accepts the cuddle, with only a slight purr.

The Crazed Joker nuzzles it's caught prey.
