I think separate the throw into 3: the throw itself, the free utility upon being thrown and the stun. With the latter two requiring the first as a prerequisit.

I think I'll get rid of the stun then.

Hero(ic) throw - Daily [magic]
Choose a location/direction you can see and one of your allies. You throw them with perfect accuracy towards it, at 20 times their normal speed, and allow them to use an utility of their choice for free/regardless of daily limit at target location. The ally is unharmed from the landing.

Don't forget Sombra's crystal spell/gaseous form. Even if they're evil, some peeps will want them.

Also Twilight's gravity spell. That should be neat.

....Actually, should we make the Crystal ponies a race? It appears that they are a race, although the shiney can be temporarily given to non-crystal ponies.

((On a side note, I'm totally making Gak pony the daughter of Sombra in my prequel origin of Sombra fic.))

The Crystal Ponies don't seem that different than other ponies - they just have a special artifact that gives their skin a nice glossy coating!

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Not only are they an actual, legitimate race, but a new, canon pony species - and hey, if hippogriffs can get in despite not actually appearing in the show, then I think crystal ponies are more than qualified. I'd be extremely surprised if there wasn't at least a little interest in developing crystal pony characters...

To quote Twilight, "King Sombra's spell must be why their coats aren't... crystal-y." And even while under the effects of that spell, the crystal ponies still have mane and eye details that are nonstandard compared to the other pony races. I think the different aesthetic fairly strongly implies that crystal ponies are meant to be a separate race (or at the very least an earth pony subspecies)...

Oh, and so long as we're listing utility ideas, may I suggest a magic-nullification one, similar to what Sombra used on Shining Armor? I can see that coming in handy...

On the one hand, good points,

But on the other none of those differences seem like enough to justify an entirely new race with new racial abilites, etc.

Since the gravity spell is what really caught my attention for this episode:

Artificial Gravity – 5/day
Caster and up to five willing allied creatures within reach have gravity reversed for them for 5 minutes, falling up instead of down. The caster may freely cancel the spell early.

We made Buffalo, and they only appeared for, like, one episode. And a Discord cameo. Heck, there's an actual robot race in here now, not just a joke template. We're still working on the sheep and pigs though.

Well firstly I have not heard anything about an official non-joke robot race, that's neat! Where can I find it?

And secondly: I didn't say that the crystal ponies only appeared once. I said that it didn't seem like there were enough differences between them and regular ponies to justify a new race.

Yes, as it requires said talent as a prerequisite and makes only a single disguise per use. Three charges can disguise only up to three ponies, which is usually only half the group.

I realize that I haven't actually put a time/preparation/combat limitation on the disguise, though...

From the newest episode, based off what Sweetie Belle mentioned...

Emergency Edible Equipment - 3/day
Preparation Time: 1 Minute
Craft a single, simple, non-magical object you can hold with one hoof, using any fresh (non-rotten or spoiled) edible substance you have available (edible dye, meat, vegetables, fruits... Anything typical creatures eat). The object will function as if it was made of a hard/durable/appropriate material for it, but only for the first 5 minutes after being made (for example, a jacket made out of celery will act as though it was made of durable textile). Afterwards, the object acts based on what edible material it was made of (meaning it may break apart, rot, be fragile, etc... The object may still be functional if the material is good enough). Once its duration expires, or when the user chooses, they may re-use its materials to eat them, or make a different object. Multiple uses of this utility prolongs the items duration (2 uses = 10 minutes).

Deliciously Delectable Doohickey - 1/day
Preparation Time: Up to 2 hours
Prerequisite: Emergency Edible Equipment
You create a contraption, of similar rules to Create Crazy Contraption, with the following exceptions:
- You must choose an edible material to build the device from (e.g. chocolate). You do not need to have this material available.
- The craft acts as though it was made of optimal material, for a duration proportional to time spent making it (10 mins prep time = 10 mins stability). Afterwards, it acts as though it was made of its chosen material (and may subsequently become useless or fall apart).
- Any damage or physical trauma caused to it reduces the duration it remains stable, or may immediately make it fall apart (DM's discretion).
- The craft, whilst stable or otherwise, also gains an attribute unique to the chosen edible substance, in addition to its time-limited stability. For instance, making a vehicle out of bubble gum will make it very elastic/rubbery/bouncy/capable of being inflated, and still remain tough enough to deflect a sharp projectile.
- The contraption can feed one pony for every 5 minutes spent making the vehicle, using its chosen edible material.
